Anna's eyes went to rest from Xander to Leon, who now stood at the door, waiting for their reply.
"Are you done in the kitchen?" Andrew's voice echoed from the stairs.
He was on his way downstairs when he heard Leon's question. Andrew walked to Leon, who rolled his eyes at him due to his eagerness to eat lunch.
"Andrew, prepare the table," Xander ordered, returning to his former position. His head laid back on the couch, and his eyes shut.
Andrew grumbled and went into the kitchen, brushing Leon's shoulders roughly. Leon didn't let him go freely, smacking the back of his head before he entered the kitchen.
Leon, tired from the search for the human and cooking, slumped on the couch beside Xander. Xander opened his eyes slightly and saw Leon give him a smile.
Anna, feeling insecure seeing the two supernaturals in the sitting room, decided to leave. Before she could take another step, Leon's words interrupted her escape.
"Where are you going?"
"To my room."
"Aren't you going to eat lunch?" Leon asked.
"I need to get something from my room," Anna said, hoping Leon wouldn't ask what she needed.
Leon saw the girl was eager to leave and decided not to ask more questions. Anna quickly went upstairs, leaving Xander and Leon alone.
Leon looked at Xander, who appeared stressed. "Did you speak to Trisha?"
Xander sat up, looking at Leon. "She came to speak to me."
"She seemed quite angry and just left the quarters," Leon muttered.
"Her anger isn't my business," Xander said bluntly.
Leon asked, "What were you doing in the forest?"
Xander's response came quickly, "Hunting."
"Hunting?" Leon questioned. "What were you hunting for?"
"A little prey to vent my anger on. The casted demon offered itself." Xander's voice was low, with a wicked smirk.
Xander was being sincere on what he was doing in the bed trap forest. He had left the white wall building in a fowl mood.
Fuming, he needed to vent his anger and the only way he could vent his anger was to look for a prey.
He hadn't found a prey because the creatures in the forest could sense that the person who had walked into their home wasn't just anyone but someone who could kill anyone.
The creatures who lurk in the bed trap forest are scared of the supernaturals. So, anytime they sense a supernatural they run into hiding.
The casted demon was lucky to have sensed a human enter into his territory and had already found his food for the day but the casted demon didn't know that instead of the day being lucky for it, it was an unlucky day.
Xander had enjoyed killing the creature the way he did, a wide wicked smile spread across his lips as he remembered the scene of the creature's death.
Leon seeing Xander's wicked grin couldn't help but wonder what made his leader grin.
Leon knew Xander too well and he knew seeing Xander smile was a rare sight but the grin he had on his face right now was what he was used to and what he usually see Xander do.
"The table is set," Andrew announced.
Andrew didn't wait for another second as he took his seat and began to fill his plate.
Leon rolled his eyes at the sight of Andrew's child- like behavior.
Xander walked to the table took a spoon from the table and tasted the soup from Andrew's plate.
He looked up at Leon and said "Keep some for me. I have somewhere important to go." He didn't wait for Leon's responds as he walked out of the dining room and left the quarters.
After Xander left, Alexa was the first to arrive at the dining table then Anna came after a minute.
"Has Xander left again?" asked Alexa when she began filling her plate.
"He said he had important work and some food should be kept for him" Andrew was the one to answer Alexa's question.
"Drinks tonight?" Alexa asked, her eyes moving from Andrew to Leon.
"Yes" Andrew almost yelled excitedly but Leon was the one break his excitement.
"No drinks tonight, we had some drinks yesterday" came Leon's refusal.
The two supernaturals at the table didn't have any other choice but to agree to his words.
Leon was like the leader in the team when Xander wasn't around. He was the one always making sure to keep Alexa and Andrew from doing anything stupid or crazy while Xander was away.
While Trisha was bossy and always wanted things to be done her way either Xander was around or not.
During the time of lunch Anna was quiet and even when they were done with lunch Anna didn't say anything.
She went up to her room immediately after lunch while Alexa and Andrew did the dishes.
The time of evening came and Anna began to get suffocated in her room. She decided to make a trip downstairs.
She saw downstairs was quiet as everyone were either in their rooms or they were not in the quarters.
She needed fresh air. She decided to leave the comfort of the quarters and stay outside for awhile.
She knew it was safe to stay outside because she knew no creature would want to enter a supernatural's territory and attack her. Even if that happened the supernaturals weren't far away from her like the time when she had entered into the bed trap forest.
After lunch, Anna went to her room, feeling suffocated. She decided to go downstairs and get some fresh air. Sitting on a log outside, she breathed in, hugging herself against the cold breeze.
When she left Leon and Xander alone and had gone to her room she had showered to get rid of the smell of the damp earth and dried leaves from her body.
She had worn an handless shirt and shorts after showering before she went down for lunch.
"Are you cold?" A familiar voice asked
Anna looked up at the direction the voice had come from and her eyes met a pair of emerald green eyes staring at her with a wide smile on his handsome face.
