<[Ghost: Guardians are chosen to be risen from the dead by sentient machines called [Ghosts]. [Ghosts] were created by the traveler to find beings worthy of wielding its power to defend it. Each Ghost being a small piece of the traveler itself.
[Ghosts] are the conduit that connects Guardians to the Traveler's Light. If a Guardian's [Ghost] is destroyed, they lose the ability to wield Light, but can still wield the Darkness.
The Darkness doesn't require a medium to access, just a strong will.
<[What Ghosts can do(Basics): Ghosts support their Guardian in many ways. They are scouts, sentient encyclopedias, and mechanics. Most importantly, they are a Guardian's first friend in an unfamiliar world.
[Note: When a Guardian is first revived, they don't have any memories of who they were before]
They're also capable of many things useful for Guardian operations such as:
1. Making Repairs
2. Hacking
3. Acting as a warning for incoming threats
4. Calculating enemy behavior
5. determining combat outcomes
6. Mapping projectiles and their trajectories
7. Providing communications
Most crucially, Ghosts can resurrect their Guardian from death. As long as the Ghost survives, Guardians are effectively immortal and may be resurrected fully intact from any death without consequences.
The death does not have to be immediate, nor do they have to be revived in the same place they died.
Ghosts may also repair any injury a Guardian suffers in a matter of seconds.
<[Ghost Durability: What can destroy a [Ghost]? There are three things that are most effective against [Ghosts].
1. Paracasual Weapons or Abilities: Anything that bypasses physical durability by defying the laws of physics (This includes Guardians, which is why we can crush [Ghosts] in our hands so easily despite them being so durable)
2. Ontological Weapons or Abilities: Things that can affect existence itself. (Once again, this includes Guardian abilities)
3. Powerful Advanced Weapons: These include extremely strong sci-fy weapons like Fallen Shock Blades (These are essentially lightsabers in their function). Exotic weapons like [Izanagi's Burden] that can compact four sniper bullets into a single powerful bullet, or orbital bombardment and bombs from aircraft.
Basically, Ghosts are super durable. And the only things that are able to destroy them are things that can alter reality or powerful weapons that could level a whole city.
<[Special Quircks of Ghosts:
1. They have paracasuality just like Guardians
2. Levitation
3. Teleportation via transmat
4. Analytical prediction
5. Telepathy: Ghosts can telepathically communicate with their Guardian
6. They can see particles as small as quarks
7. Incorporeality (Ghosts can decompile into data points of light)
<[Weapon Creation: Ghosts can fix and reproduce a Guardian's equipment in the event it's destroyed, and can even manipulate matter to create impromptu armor if the need arises.
<[Quantum state/Pocket Dimensions: When their Guardian is in combat, Ghosts typically hide themselves away. Where they go is unknown to even themselves, but they aren't viable targets since they cannot be seen or sensed in this state.
<[Technology Manipulation: Ghosts can manipulate technology to an extent and even decipher and control Hive "Magic" and destroy Hive runes.
<[Information Manipulation: Ghosts can manipulate data and decode and encrypt engrams, which are encrypted matter.
