"So, what now? Do we just keep walking until we find civilization? For all we know, we could be in some kind of bullshit magical forest with monsters that could tactically nuke a whole city," said Angel in a sarcastic tone.
Both Alex and Francis looked at their brother, clearly thinking, 'Are you really trying to kill us with that jinx of yours?' based on their glares.
*Awwoooo*
Out of nowhere, multiple howling wolves echoed from deep within the forest. Alex and Francis shot Angel a dirty look, only for him to respond with an apologetic face.
The three of them immediately started running in the opposite direction of the howls, not wanting to take their chances.
-Francis' POV-
*Pant* *pant*
"God damn it, Angel, just keep your mouth shut until we figure out what's going on. I don't want you sending another airplane our way just because of your mouth," I spat out, my words dripping with venom. Angel nodded, giving me an apologetic puppy face—as if I would give a damn that he's sorry.
In fact, puppies are very kickable, just like his face right now. But sadly, now's not the time for that.
"Does anybody have a golden finger?" I asked, and they looked at me with confusion. These goddamned uncultured kids don't even know what a golden finger is.
"It's common in isekai stories. When the MC dies and gets reincranted, they usually get some kind of super cool power or skill to help them on their journey," I explained, having to spell it out.
"I see, so that's what it is. And don't give us that 'you uncultured swines' look. I may watch a bit of anime, unlike Angel here, but I don't go too far down the rabbit hole like reading manga and light novels," said Alex with a frown.
"Yeah, what he said. Also, no, we don't have any godly powers. Sigh If only we did," Angel added with a sigh.
