Chereads / Danmachi: Guardian, Soldier, Knight / Chapter 3 - [3]-Beginner Gift

Chapter 3 - [3]-Beginner Gift

As the three of us finally got our golden fingers, we decided to individually check them out and then give a small summary of our new abilities. I also explained how the concept of 'systems' works since they don't read fanfic or manga like I do.

Once we each found a tree to sit by, I focused on my system.

"Hey, system, what can you do? You called yourself the Anime Guardian system, but I don't really know what that means."

<[Yes, I am the Anime Guardian system because you died while watching anime and playing Destiny. I was modeled accordingly.]

<[The main system functions will give you the abilities of a Guardian, as well as weapon skills from Sword Art Online. Other abilities from different anime can be obtained through Gacha rolls or quests.]

"Oh, so I can use Solar like in Destiny and also the sword skills from SAO?"

<[Yes, but SAO skills aren't limited to just swords. You'll have access to bow skills, mace skills, rapier skills, and many more. Let me show you.]

------------

So, I can choose one weapon path and one path?. But where are the main classes? Shouldn't there be Hunter, Titan, and Warlock classes?

<[Host, I don't give half-assed abilities. If I gave you a class, it would restrict you to those specific abilities. With the subclass, you can access everything a Titan, Hunter, and Warlock can do. Your main class is just Guardian, so there's no need to choose a specific path.]

Oh, that makes sense. All the subclasses have unique uses depending on the class you pick.

For example, in the Void subclass, Hunters can slow down enemies, Warlocks can tear space to create a portal, and Titans can make an almost indestructible shield dome through spatial manipulation.

But with just the subclass, I can do all that, as long as I figure out how... somehow.

<[Before choosing your Weapon Art and Path, I recommend opening your beginner's gift.]

Beginner's gift?

<[The system has gifted you a beginner's gift: 2x Exotic Weapon engrams, 1x Exotic Armor engram, and 1x Divine Object.]

Is this really a beginner's gift? It feels more like something Bungie would give you after blowing up your whole family, saying it was a 'whoopsie doopsie.'

Well, who am I to complain? Free engrams and a divine object? I'm the system's bitch at this point.

"Please, draw them."

<[Affirmative. You have gained 4 new items:

<[-Ticuu's Divination(B) {Destiny 2}

Image

Description: Exotic/Solar-Energy/Combat Bow

Perks:

Sacred Flame - Hipfiring this weapon fires multiple tracking arrows. Targets marked by these projectiles explode upon death or when struck by another Sacred Flame's explosion or arrow shot by this bow.

Casualty Arrows - Arrows fired while aiming down sights cause Sacred Flames to instantly detonate. Headshot hits with perfectly drawn arrows increase the power of this detonation.]

<[-Ace of Spades(B) {Destiny 2}

Image

Description: Exotic/Physical-Kinetic/Hand Cannon

Perks:

Memento Mori - Reloading after a kill loads the magazine with extra-damage bullets. Grants spatial awareness while aiming down sights for a brief time.

Firefly - Headshot kills with this weapon increase reload speed and cause the target to explode, dealing Solar damage to nearby enemies.]

<[-Stomp-EE5(B) {Destiny 2}

Image

Description: Exotic Leg Armor

Perks:

Hydraulic Boosters - Increases sprint speed and slide distance. Improves High Jump, Strafe Jump, and Triple Jump. Reduces damage from airborne targets.]

<[Fragrant Olive Sword(B-) {SAO}

Image

Description: A longsword crafted from a fragrant olive tree. It was the first "immortal" object created by the Goddess of Creation, Stacia, and possesses eternal immortality.

Abilities:

Enhance Armament - The sword can split into hundreds of golden flower petals, each capable of high-speed movement. The petals are sharp and powerful enough to split rocks or break the ground.

Release Recollection - Like Enhance Armament, but the petals can store the sun's energy and explode on impact. When concentrated, they create a massive destructive blast. The sword can also transform back into its original form of an olive tree.]

Isn't this my Hunter loadout? In Destiny, you can only use one exotic weapon and one exotic armor piece, but I usually switched between my favorite energy and kinetic weapons.

[Stomp-EE5] was my go-to Exotic armor because it let you jump high above the map, practically gliding. The only thing missing from my loadout would be the [D.A.R.C.I.] power weapon.

And [Ticuu's Divination], in game it might not be that good But in real life its a whole other situation.

Canonically, this weapons isn't special because of its destructive potential, but special because of its ability to never miss a target.

Esentially, unless a target is paracasual (Paracasual: Basically means anything that defies the laws of physics with no logical explanation) and there exist a timeline where they could avoid the shot, the shots fired from this bow will always hit its Mark

Upon release, the arrow will manipulate casualtity (Casuality: Its basically cause and effect, Like as if you shot an arrow, it will pierce something. The cause was the shooting off the arrow and the effect is the person/thng being pierced) and find a timeline where the target was hit. In an instant, the arrow will align the current target with the version of them that was struck, thus hitting its mark without even needing to aim.

<[There is also beginner armor in your storage.]

I opened the system's storage and saw a set of [Witcher Hunter Armor set]

{Image}

It looks awesome! The cape along the two back swords is a nice touch. I equipped the entire set, except for the leggings, opting for [Stomp-EE5] instead.

Now I'm decked out. I've got the [Ace of Spades] in a leg holster, [Ticuu's Divination] on my back, and the [Fragrant Olive Sword] strapped to my left side. I don't have a mirror, but I bet I look cool... even if I'm in a 16-year-old's body.

I don't think a midget with a gun is very intimidating, though.

*Sigh* I miss my 18-year-old, 6'3" body.

Oh well, can't complain now. Time to choose my Path and Weapon Art.

For Path, I'll go with [Light].

Altough there are super strong sub-classes in [Darkness] like [Strand], [Taking], [Resonance], and [Stasis]...i don't think I'm ready for them, at least not yet.

While [Light] controls the fundamentals of the physical universe such as electromagnetism, gravity, and strong nuclear forces(Arc, Void, and Solar).

[Darkness] is all about the Metaphysical, that which exist and does not exist at the same time. Things such as consciousness and will.

That's why to master [Darkness], one must master themselves first and not give in to it. For [Darkness] will use you as much as you use it.

If I'm not careful i could be swallowed or controled by it, thus why I'm choosing the safe option, [Light].

Im also not confident in being able to withstand the [Darkness].

And there's no reason to not choose [Light] to for its sub-classes are super good.

Let me run them by you and what they do.

The first and most basic [Light] sub-class is [Arc], Arc Light is the element that encompasses the fundamental force of electromagnetism, but of course, like anything that exist in Destiny, its not that simple; its [Fission]

[Arc] can be wielded by all Guardians to generate lightning bolts, shockwaves and electromagnetic phenomena.

And remember when i said that [Arc] includes Fissure? Yeah, Arc light can target molecular bonds (What basically keeps you from breaking down into nothing) allowing a person to destroy and atomize an enemie even with tough armor or other defences being worn by the opponent are in the equation.

It can also be used to enhance ones body, allowing great feats to be done like matching hypersonic speed that even the eye can't perceive (The eye cant perceive anything that is Mach 5 or above), galvanize armor, create electromagnetic barriers, and much more. But i won't bore you with more info dump.

Basically, its busted in the right hands, just like any other [Light] sub-class.

The second sub-class of [Light] is [Solar].

At base, Solar Light is 5,778 Kelvin, the same temperature as the surface of the sun.

Canonicaly, however, the sun's heat isn't the limit. Solar Light has the potential to be as hot as a Guardian want's it to be, most likeley because of the [Light's] reality bending properties.

But of course it can also be turned down to lower heats to be used for practical needs such as starting a fire or cauterizing a wound.

This "Atomic Fire", is capable of powerful feats, allowing [Hunters] to fire light speed bullets from their [Golden Gun], and or [Titans] being able to turn whole dunes of sand into glass fields.

And where Void Light erases enemies, and Arc Light targets chemical bonds to atomize targets, Solar Light uses pure heat to carbonize, melt, and vaporize enemies.

[Solar] is basically the prime representation of absolute power born from minimal force.

And now the third, final, and possibly the storongst of the three sub-classes, [Void].

Now each element of [Light] represents the the fundamental forces of the universe. [Arc] encompasses electromagnetism, [Solar] encompasses the strong nuclear force, a force that governs all stars, and [Void] is the force of gravity, time, space, and existence.

The power of Void Light doesn't just control Space, Time, Gravity, but the ability to control dark matter, energy, absorb and manipulate life-essence, antimater, and even power nullification.

In simple words, its cosmic distortion; the pull of gravity and the promise of entropy.

So to use [void], one must draw power from the immeasurably small and the unfathomably massive, and with it bend the very fabric of space-time.

it can even allow a Guardian to anchor down a person to the core of their very existence.

It might take time to master, but I'll get there... eventually.

Now, for Weapon Art, I'll go with one-handed swords.

I was going to go with Bow Weapon Art but I remembered I had the [Fragrant Olive Sword].

I drew it from my starter and strapped it to my left side. Now I've got a hand cannon, a bow on my back, and a sword at my side. Even in the Gun Gale arc, Kirito always had a sword, even if it was a lightsaber.

"System, I choose [Light] and one-handed sword art."

<[Confirmed. Bestowing Light subclass and one-handed sword art.]
