"Oh my poor girl, sorry to bother you for the whole night!" Grandpa Alex lied on the bed and touched the head of Sheena, saying in a tone full of apology.
Sheena smiled back and shook her head, "Grandpa, please don't say that, it's my duty to look after you. What's more, this is a kind of payback, you had showed so much love to me when I was a child."
Yes, back then when her father was busy in gambling in the gambling house and her mother was totally occupied by the duty of taking care of Cherry Korade, it was Grandpa Alex who had always showed up to solve problems or look after her.
In fact, Sheena would feel closer to her grandpa rather than her parents. Of course, her parents seemed to bear the same feelings that they would spend more care or love in Cherry even though they didn't notice such a way.
"My poor girl, it's not your duty, but your parents', isn't it?" Grandpa Alex said in a shameful tone. Alex would always be upset when he talked about his son, William Hathaway.
"Have William ever paid a visit to you recently?" Sheena asked before a second thought, but Alex was tougher than she thought, he was just stunned for a second and gave a forced smile, "you always know him right, don't you?" Without giving any answer, but Sheena had gotten his meaning already.
She shouldn't have ever had any expectation on him since the accident happened three years ago.
"Sheena, is it true that you would pay a visit to the manor of Bryant?" Alex interrupted Sheena's falling back to the memories, and Sheena got down to earth immediately with a warm smile towards Alex.
"Yes. "Although she had the least desire to engage in such cases, it's the last wish of her grandpa that she had to try the best to accomplish it.
"I know, it may look like burdens for you to marry such a big family," Alex suddenly looked into Sheena's eye deeply, as if he had captured the true thought of Sheena. But he just smiled and continued, "for such a family background like us, it's a rare chance for us to marry to such a famed family like Bryant. I could figure it out just through the cane he was holding."
Alex didn't continue the description, but Sheena knew what he meant. It's for her own good, so Sheena just couldn't complain anything in front of her grandpa.
"I could still remember then when he and I was hiding in a cave. We're cold due to the rainy days. We had to hide there for the whole night for the enemy's pursuit, but Bryant was hurt in the leg, so he had a serious fever at that night. "
"Sounds dangerous and awful." Sheena shook her head, she seemed to get immersed in that atmosphere that she had imagined for that night.
"Yes, it was quite intense." Alex sighed, "I have never expected there would be such a tough man to use the hot rock to iron the wound. He suffered a lot for the serious fever, and I didn't sleep but to look after him for the whole night."
"No wonder he would treat us so well." Sheena eventually understood why Bryant had treated their family so well and even proposed such a marriage.

Maybe it's a kind of regret for not being able to come to the fore, Alex's face had a kind of pity. He turned to Sheena and finally said, "Although it's like a forced marriage for you, think about the family background of them, your life of marrying to their family wouldn't be so tough."
"I know, just..." at this moment, Sheena was eager to confess to her grandpa that she desired nothing but his health, but she stopped for the words that Alex spoke later.

"Grandpa, Mother would be back at noon, and I have to prepare for the visit to the manor of Grandpa Bryant."
Maybe Alex was exhausted to speak so many words just now, he heard what Sheena said and nodded his head as an agreement for the case Sheena had said.
"Just go." Alex waved his hand to ask Sheena to leave, therefore, Sheena helped to tuck him in and left the hospital.
In fact, it's just 7:30 in the morning when Sheena walked out of the hospital, so Sheena still had time for preparation.
However, when Sheena went back home and finished the shower taking, she got a message from Stephan.
[Sheena, are you ready? I'm waiting on you under your apartment?]
It's just 8 o'clock in the morning, how could such a playboy like Stephan would show up so early downstairs of her apartment?
Sheena was too shocked to witness the scene that she came downstairs with an amazed face.
"Wow, you look so fresh and gorgeous!" Maybe it's due to her morning shower-taking that Sheena was sparkling under the sunshine as an angel.
Stephan was totally obsessed to see such a scene right after he got out of the car to welcome her. Coming here to pick her up was just a forced task arranged by his mother, but he was surprised to see such Sheena out of the college.
"You look like angel." Stephan couldn't help speaking it out, even though he had dated with a mass of girls. This girl looked outstanding among the ex-girlfriends he had ever had.
Instead of Stephan's surprise, Sheena couldn't bear but rolled her eyes on him. How could he acted like a Teddy dog? When could he just stop being obsessed by the appearance? Yes, this was totally what Sheena couldn't bear. She would like a superficial partner the least.
"Come on, let's give it a shoot and get it done quick." Sheena just ignored the stepping-ahead of Stephan and walked to the pilot sea door.
"Hurry up, you may have to drive me to the shopping mall first." Sheena turned around to look at the stunned and still Stephan, who was a little bit surprised to witness the attitude of Sheena. She was totally a proud peacock that wouldn't take a glance at him at all.
However, he was a clever boy that he replied with a shining smile, "oh, my dear Sheena, thank you very much for your consideration, but there is no need to go to the shopping mall."
"What?" Sheena was confused and asked, "do you know what I am going to do in the shopping mall? The plaza of Wonderland?"
Stephan didn't answer but got back to the car together with Sheena, smilingly he said, "I know you're going to buy some gifts as etiquette..."
"Yes." Sheena admitted her plan. Although they may not like what she buy for them due to the huge family background difference, she still thought it's a kind of etiquette for her to greet with some gifts.
However, after a saying of "no need", Stephan just ignored her request and just revved up the car out of the city, without saying anything more.
"Hey, slow down, didn't you hear my saying? I want to go to the shopping mall first."
"No way, I have to do something before paying the visit!"
"Stephan, are you always so arrogant like this that you just wouldn't listen to the girls' opinions?"
Sheena felt like a nagger while Stephan Korade just held the steering wheel without saying anything.
"Hey!" Just when Sheena burst into anger, Stephan turned to her and smiled, "We're heading to my grandpa's manor on the mountain. For the greeting gifts, I've prepared for you."
It surprised Sheena that Stephan would be so considerate like this. He even had prepared the gifts for her.
"Don't look at me like this. " Stephan clarified, "of course it's not my style. My mom has ordered for us and asked me to handle all of these. "
"Er..." Sheena was a little awkward that the host had even done all needed for her.
"Never mind," Stephan seemed to capture the embarrassment that Sheena was bearing, he smiled and look forwards, "we know your situation, please don't bother yourself with such odds."
It was for the first time that she realized a person wouldn't be just what he/she acted like.
