Once he crossed over, he found himself in the deserted land that he and the others met Cassian in. After grabbing the teleporter so he wouldn't forget it, he began to roam, and roam he did. He had thought that he would land close by to where he and the two others woke up, but he still ended up having to find himself roaming around for a period of time before he finally found the rubble that he and the others woke up upon.
He goes ahead and stands atop of it like he did before, turning around and reminiscing about that initial wonder with Pat and Alex before he let out a sigh, preceded by a chuckle. Mike continues to walk around the rubble, trying to keep himself from falling over it at any time. And as he continued around, he was at the top of the heap. "What the hell was this even?" He asks himself as he squats down to examine the rubble closer.
It was the remains of a building, for sure, but what would a singular building be doing here with nothing else around it? As he scavenges the area around it, he continues to look at all the different parts of it that were torn down or in terrible condition, like the broken wall they hid behind initially when they were discussing what they were wanting to do about the demons they saw on the hill. Although, something caught his eye far below the rubble.
He began to try and move the rubble around to open up a space. Yet, as he did, he soon took notice of how the rubble was actually quite heavy, and given their rigid corners, size, and amount of them, it would be nigh-impossible for him to do much in any sort of amount of time frame. So he stopped so that he could try and think of some sort of solution for his problem, until it dawned on him.
He swiftly put down the teleporter and went back to the black market before finding his way back to where Gris had placed him and the others, and while they were watching the tournament as two people were battling it out in the arena. Mike looks around to see if Cassian was around to see him, which he wasn't. So Mike rummaged through Cassian's bag to try and see if Cassian had what he was looking for.
And he apparently did as Mike took the entire bag and, after some time, went back to the rubble. Mike began to rummage through the bag yet again before pulling out a grenade. It probably wasn't the greatest idea that he's ever had since there was a chance he could destroy what he saw, but he did believe that it would work out one way or another. So, standing some yards away, he takes the pin off of the grenade and throws it to the best of his ability.
Although it didn't land exactly where he wanted it to, it still landed decently close to where he was wanting it to go. It explodes, either turning the larger chunks of debris into bits and pieces, or pushing them away from whatever it was that he saw there. Once he believed that the coast was clear, he delved back into trying to remove whatever rubble there was there, but while the grenade blast did help him with some of it, there was still a lot left there.
Mike, slightly frustrated, went back to Cassian's bag and began to pull out another grenade until another idea hit him. Instead of just using one singular grenade, he takes notice of all of the other grenades that were in the bag. There were numerous different kinds of ones that were either meant to be placed down, thrown, or whatever that was in the bag. There was now one thing that was for certain, at least, in Mike's mind: If all are placed down in the same place, it should get the job done.
After a little bit of placing, all of the explosives were ready and set for Mike's plan. And once he went back to where he initially hid for the first grenade, he now holds a different kind of one, one with a fuse that was ready to be lit on fire. Mike, still wanting excuses to use his pyrokinesis, creates a small flame to light the bomb's fuse he now held before chucking it over to the pile. The sound of numerous explosives going off was then heard as Mike kept hiding behind the wall.
Alongside the explosions, however, there was a ton of smoke and dust that made it slightly harder for Mike to see anything around, but it did soon clear out. As soon as it did, Mike went over and saw that a lot of the rubble that he had initially seen was almost all gone outside of some small fires that were a result of what he did. Despite that, it allowed him to see the entrance to a bunker of some kind, with a metal door on it. Yet when he tried to open it, it was jammed shut.
Initially, he believed that maybe more explosives would do the trick and force the door open, or at the very least open up a hole for him to use to climb through, but as he searched through the bag that he had taken from Cassian, he found that there was basically none left, and the only thing he could use at this point would probably be something like the rubble and smash his way through. Mike began to act on that idea as he lifted up some of the larger rubble that wasn't in the blast range but still close by, which was quite heavy to him.
But as he begins to try and mess around with things, he hears something, the sound of something rolling on the ground. Multiple things as a matter of fact. And when he looks down, he sees that through the rubble he had just moved, somehow someway, a few old styled bombs from earlier must've slipped through the cracks of the rubble and survived the onslaught from the other ones.
And as soon as Mike saw them, one of them rolls towards one of the fires and ignites the small fuse it had on top of it, and it was there when he noticed that they had the name "Gris" on them, but before he could truly do anything, he almost instinctively knew he wasn't getting away in time as he said: "Motherfu-"
