"Any idea on what to do about them? ... Really? That's what you want to do? Well, if you say so."
With a sudden jolt, Alex sits up as he finds himself in a medical bay's bed of sorts. He looks over himself and feels his own head, just to make sure he actually is still alive before finally calming down. Only to then feel something touch his shoulder, making him almost jump out of the bed as he looked back at Gris, who still wore that smile on her face. "So... how did you like it?"
The mocked innocence on her face makes him more wary about her by the moment, which only made it worse for Alex as Gris took notice of it. "Oh, relax, Alexander! You aren't dead! Not yet, at least! I was just trying to mess with you before you went to sleep!" She gave a small punch to his shoulder as he let out a frightened chuckle at this.
"So, how exactly is this supposed to help with our memories?" Alex said, wanting to know answers as quickly as he can as Gris gets ready to explain. "Oh, it's quite simple! I just had to probe into your brains and mess around with the neurons in that little head of yours!" As she said that, Alex felt over his head, to feel any scars, which, again, Gris took notice of.
"Don't worry about any sort of things like that! With how this machine works, I've made sure it wouldn't cause you any harm! I'd love to explain how it was made to you, but I don't think you'd understand a dang thing 'bout it!" She laughs at her own words before tapping on the bed. "Now, go ahead and get on up, both Michael and Patrick are up and awaiting your arrival!"
And so, Alex got up, and tried to remember anything, but there wasn't really anything there. "Why do I still not remember anything?" His question got a quick response from Gris as she replies, "Well, it's going to be different for everyone! Give it some time, and the memories will, eventually, appear! Even if it takes a few years like it's been doing for some people! Heck, I can somewhat see into some of the memories of some people when using this, and that's how I know what to say for a full first name!"
Gris continued to speak as she made Alex follow right behind her, "Although, it was only really for Michael that I saw his name, Patrick was the only dang name I was able to get out of 'em even though I don't think that's the actual answer. But, you? I got jack squat! So, I just took the most logical assumption with guessing your name! And you ain't denying it, so I'm taking the liberty to say that that's your name!" After she gets done talking, Alex was still thinking about how she said it could take years for his memories to come back, but then he did take notice of hearing the others speaking a few rooms away.
"OH! Just one more thing, don't be surprised if you end up seeing something... bizarre! And by that, I mean that your imagination is boutta be set ablaze!" Gris said when entering the room which turned out to be some sort of training room as, when looking at the others, there stood Pat, Cassian, and Willow, standing by as Mike held out his hand as fire suddenly appeared in it. And Mike lets out a laugh as he does so. "Ahaha! Holy..." He was going to say the swear word until he noticed Gris standing there now as he stopped himself.
"... crap." He finished saying that instead with Gris giving some small claps at the fact that he did that instead. "That's way better language!" She says while skipping over to him to observe the fire in his hands. "My my, I believe that you've been getting a better grasp on your own magic!" And after she said that, Mike smirks at the fact that he could do this before Alex just looks stunned at this fact. "So, you're telling me that not only is there demons and all that, but there's actual, literal magic?"
"Yep! There sure is! Don't worry, it'll all come back to you all relatively soon enough hopefully, but until then, I'm going to have Cassian here teach you all how to go out and kill some dang demons! And because I'm sorta in need of some of their blood for some sales I'm trying to make! Now, if you all don't mind, I need to go consult my speech writer, because I need to prepare something huge for my carnival!"
"I'm sorry, did you just say 'carnival'?" The genuine confusion Mike had was clear while waving his hand to make the fire disperse. "Yepper do! I run myself a grand ol' carnival that will bring a smile to anyone's face! I may be someone down here in the market that's more than definitely illegal, but I still have the courtesy to do things legally!" Having explained herself, she takes a bow before pulling a flattened top hat out from her coat and making it as it should be before putting it on her head, "And I guess this is where we shall all part ways for now!"
Meanwhile, Willow, who was also just standing by, pulled out a gun and readied herself before laying it on her shoulder, "And I got my own gig to go back and do, so, Cass, you're dealing with these three. Buh-bye." A peace sign was given by Willow as she went on her way while Gris got her own device for teleporting and teleported away from them all while they all stood there. And Cassian scratched the back of his head as he tried to figure out what to say next until it dawned on him.
"So, I guess you're all going to need to get a weapon or something to help deal with these demons. Luckily, I know just how to get them. And, don't worry, they won't be here, all the ones I buy are legally bought." Suddenly, a realization came to him, "Wait, do any of you have any sort of license or money? I just remembered that I never asked about that." At that mention, all of them stood in silence as if they knew their own answers but didn't know how to respond as Cassian sighed, "This might be a bit harder than initially thought."
