Attarah stood up and gently stroked his head, urging, "Be obedient and listen to mom. Don't make her angry. I will come back and visit you when I have the chance."
Raicko moved his lips but said nothing.
Thirty minutes later, Raicko was simply sitting on the sofa near the corner when Rosaline scolded him, saying, "Idiot, who allowed you to sit here?" Go back to your room. Don't be a monster!"
Attarah said, "Mom, don't scare him. He is my husband, no matter what happens. His wife will leave with another man. He may sit here."
"You always adore him! What if this idiot sits here? Can he change your miserable fate?"
Rosaline had not finished yet when the doorbell rang.
Raicko then noticed that Attarah had instantly paled. He knew the man who was going to take his Sissy had arrived.
"Idiot. Keep your mouth shut. Otherwise, I will cut off your tongue!" Rosaline stood up, gave Raicko a furious look, then put on a smiling face and hurriedly walked towards the door.
Just as the door opened, Rosaline greeted the visitor warmly, "Hello, Mr. Dawson, welcome. Keira, you look exquisite tonight."
Attarah's cousin-in-law, Keira Smith, and a man entered as Rosaline enthusiastically invited them in. The man was around thirty years old. Attarah said quietly, "Keira, our house has plenty of seats and can accommodate many people."
Taken aback, Keira exclaimed, "I'm concerned that this idiot might affect Mr. Dawson's mood."
Attarah responded coldly, "He is still my husband from now on. He is my family member."
Keira's expression changed when Dylan said, "Haha, Keira, Attarah is right. I can sit anywhere."
Rosaline looked at her daughter disapprovingly. Then, she softened things and said, "Mr. Dawson is right. After tonight, however, this idiot will have nothing to do with Attarah. Keira, please sit down. What would you like? Let me pour you a drink."
Rosaline was kind to Keira, especially because the latter was marrying her daughter to Dylan that night.
Raicko saw through everyone's behavior but kept a silly smile. Since Attarah had responded to him earlier, Keira was blunt, "Attarah, there are no outsiders here. I will be frank with you."
