Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

Rosaline dropped the bucket to the floor and asked, "Attarah, am I your mother?"

Attarah let out a bitter laugh and replied, "Mom, I am your daughter."

"Good. Then, sit down and listen to me."

Rosaline walked over to the sofa and said, "Your father and I went to your grandmother's house last night. We sat down to discuss a countermeasure all night long. We found someone within our connection who, hopefully, can help the Dawson family forgive us."

Regardless of whether the political marriage between the two families could proceed, the Cade family had to answer to Dylan Dawson for what happened the previous night.

The Dawson family's Prosperity Corporate Group was one of Nebula's three largest groups. The Cade family had to show them some respect.

After an entire night of trouble, the mediator who went to the Dawson house early in the morning finally returned with excellent news.

The Dawson family could forgive the Cade family and even overlook Attarah's foolish act. The political marriage between the two families could still proceed. However, the Dawson family had some strict conditions.

Rosaline looked at Attarah and continued, "The Cade family has to organize a banquet to express our sincerest apologies to Dylan Dawson. You are required to kneel before Dylan, offer an apology, and pledge to never encounter this individual again."

Attarah's face instantly paled. She could accept the condition of expressing her sincere apology by hosting a banquet. However, if she had to apologize to Dylan and kneel before him in public, it was worse than death.

If Attarah couldn't continue to protect Raicko, his torture to death was inevitable.

Rosaline shut her mouth once she had finished speaking. In reality, she didn't feel positive about it either. Raicko's predicament and the need to plan an apology banquet didn't bother her. But she didn't want to see her proud daughter kneel before Dylan Dawson in public.

But if the Cade family didn't accept Dylan's conditions, they would perish. Attarah finally spoke after God knows how long. Her voice sounded monotone as she asked, "Where will the banquet be? What time?"

Rosaline initially had her heart in her throat. Then she finally relaxed and replied, "Tonight at eight. At grandma's house."

"Okay. Call grandma and let her know I'll be there as promised."

After responding to her mom, Attarah looked back at Raicko. Raicko returned the gaze with a silly smile.

Attarah felt uncomfortable and didn't want to talk to anyone. She quickly returned to her bedroom and closed the door behind her.

Rosaline looked at Raicko and muttered under her breath, "All you can do is smile like a damn idiot." Hurry and get lost. Let me be in peace."

Raicko puffed up his cheeks and was honest with his mother-in-law. He confessed, "Mom, you don't have to worry about this. I'll take care of it. To me, the Dawson family in Nebula means nothing. They are nothing, and I can crush them with a single blow. I swear I'll make Sissy the richest and most powerful woman in the world!"

Rosaline took the fruit bowl and smashed it. "Get lost, you idiot! All you do is daydream daily. I will prostrate and call you my father if you can make Attarah such a woman."

"You are my future son's grandmother. I wouldn't dare!" Raicko thought to himself, putting his hands behind his head and running before Rosaline could grab another object to throw at him. He finally realized that no one would believe him because he had been a fool for the past three years. But that was okay. One day, he would take his wife to the top of the pyramid.

"I will make Sissy the most honorable queen!" he thought. However, for now, he had to think about how to destroy the Dawson family. Raicko descended the stairs, and the few children playing there immediately scattered in all directions, shouting, "Run! The fool from the Cade family has once again escaped! George, watch your Transformer toy. Emily, watch your doll."

Raicko pretended to be frustrated and scared a child to tears before slipping behind a rock. If they were abroad, Raicko wouldn't hesitate to wipe out the entire Dawson family for what Dylan did. But they were in their own nation, and he couldn't take such drastic measures. Raicko recalled a contact number from memory and pulled out his phone. When the phone rang, a frigid woman's voice echoed from the other end, asking, "Who are you looking for?"

Raicko immediately put on a flirtatious smile upon hearing this voice after three years. "Who are you? You're not saying anything." The woman grew impatient, and finally, Raicko spoke, "Melrose, how are you?"

The phone call fell silent. "Hello, Melrose. Why aren't you saying anything.?"

Raicko waited for a while and was puzzled. He thought there was no signal and shook his phone. Then he noticed the bars had the greatest signal strength. He returned the phone to his ear. Suddenly, there was a sharp scream, and he almost went deaf, "Lord Ryller, is that you? Is Melrose having a dream?"

Melrose was the head of staff at the Dragon Palace, which Raicko founded. With loyalty and capabilities, she was top-notch. However, Raicko was concerned that no one answered when he made the call. If no one answered the call, it would show that Melrose could not protect the Dragon Palace because of his foolish actions over the previous three years.

It would have been fine if the Dragon Palace had collapsed. What worried him was that Melrose might have gotten into trouble too. People were extremely deferential to Melrose when Raicko was present. When he wasn't around, the possibility of them rebelling against her was high. Fortunately, Melrose was fine. She even expanded the Dragon Palace operation during the three years Raicko was missing.

"Lord Ryller, I knew you would be fine."

Melrose cried for a long time before continuing, "I used all the manpower to search for you when something happened to you back then."

After a frantic search for a month, they finally found clues about Raicko's whereabouts. An old man brought him to Vorsia after he got into trouble. Despite using all her cards, Melrose could not find any clues about how Raicko got into trouble or who the old man brought him to Vorsia. In the end, the clues led them to the province of Slkyrim. Skyrim province had the highest population in Vorsia. Discovering older men proved to be a challenging task. But she didn't give up. Instead, she secretly shifted the Dragon Palace's influence towards the east. Over the past three years, Melrose has made many investments in Skyrim, including real estate, the entertainment industry, hotels, hospitals, banks, private schools, etc. Their headquarters were in Nebula. After all, Nebula was Skyrim's capital. Raicko never expected Melrose to be there with him.

"Lord Ryller, where are you now?" Melrose had been concentrating on providing Raicko with updates when she abruptly realized she needed to inquire about his whereabouts.

Raicko chuckled and replied, "I'm in Nebula."

Melrose let out a cry of excitement on the other end of the phone.

Raicko quickly reassured him, "Calm down. The situation is complicated. Listen to me."

Melrose immediately calmed down and said, "Lord Ryller, go ahead, tell me."

After ten minutes, Raicko found his deteriorated bicycle downstairs and took a quick look at the Cade family's house before leaving the area.

The 33-story Dragon Palace building was in Nebula's liveliest area. It was undoubtedly every administrative worker's dream to work for Dragon's Palace Edifice.

Not only did the building belong to the Western Dragon Palace Conglomerate subdivision, which offered attractive salaries and additional benefits, but the staff could also work and migrate abroad.

Even the building's security guards were proud, carrying their noses in the air.

The head of security, Ethan Wells, saw a young man parking his bicycle in a parking space and was surprised. He cursed, "Damn it. Is the Dragon Palace Building a place someone can reach by bicycle?"

Before he could say anything, he saw a red car entering the parking lot. It stopped for a moment before roaring and hitting the young man.
