Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

Attarah knew better than anyone that the Cade family did not like Raicko.

Especially after he hit Dylan the night before, the Cade family was extremely scared. They had relied on their connections to secure forgiveness from the Dawson family by organizing a banquet as a gesture of apology. The Cade family had hoped that Dylan could forgive Attarah as soon as possible and save the Cade family. They did not care about her feelings.

But who would have guessed that Raicko would show up just as Attarah was about to humiliate herself to apologize to Dylan. Besides that, he had crashed the banquet by breaking a wine bottle!

Attarah was the most terrified person in the living room. She knew how the Cade family would treat Raicko once he recovered from his shock. Her only wish was for her foolish brother to escape before the Cade family could do him harm.

"Go! Hurry and go! Now!" Attarah ran to the door and pushed Raicko hard. She pushed Raicko with all her might, but he did not budge an inch. He said, "Sissy, I'm not leaving. Don't be afraid. I'll protect you."

"Hurry and go! Are you trying to corner me?!" Attarah raised her hand in fear and anger, giving him a powerful slap.

Slap! This made everyone snap back to reality. Mrs. Cade grabbed her cane next to her chair and slammed it on the table. She roared, "Mason, beat this idiot to death!"

Mason didn't hesitate and charged at Raicko with the cane.

"You are so foolish." Attarah closed her eyes in agony. She pushed Raicko's hand away and gently caressed his cheek before turning away.

Just as she turned around, her tears stopped. Her pale face regained its usual coldness in an instant, looking at Mason. She opened her arms, shielding Raicko behind her. She said softly, "Those who want to hit him will do so over my dead body."

Mason was stunned. He never expected Attarah to stop him. Everyone could see from Attarah's calm gaze she was determined to protect Raicko with her life and death.

"What should we do?" As he turned to look at Mrs. Cade, Mason thought.

Abigail, who had fallen to the ground earlier, suddenly recovered and shouted,

 "Attarah Cade, step aside!"

She staggered to her feet. Just as she was about to attack Attarah, Dylan suddenly spoke, "Attarah Cade, I've changed my mind. As long as you break both of the idiot's legs, you don't have to kneel and beg for my forgiveness. I won't pursue the matter any further."

Abigail was thrilled. She cheered, "Thank you, Mr. Dawson. Thank you! Attarah, hurry and break the idiot's legs."

"No way. I won't beg for your forgiveness. Nor will I harm Raicko," Attarah suddenly laughed, staring at Dylan.

She threatened, "If you lay a hand on the Cade family when we're down, I'll die in your house, so you'll be in trouble."

Although her voice was soft and she spoke with a smile, they knew she had the tenacity to carry out her threat, which was terrifying for everyone at the banquet. The Cade family, lacking the courage to speak, simply stared at Mrs. Cade.

She turned pale with anger and asked sternly, "Are the men of the Cade family dead?" The family men hurried forward and surrounded Raicko in response to Mrs. Cade's outburst.

Dylan had a fierce smile, looking at Attarah with disdain.

Attarah felt desperate. She turned and said to Raicko, "Strike back at whoever strikes you. Do you hear me?"

Raicko nodded gravely, then grabbed the cobbler behind the door. He smiled, showing off his gleaming teeth, which sparkled menacingly under the light.

Everyone knew Raicko wasn't bright but had outstanding physical strength. He wasn't afraid of death. Even street gangsters didn't have the guts to provoke him. On top of that, he only obeyed Attarah. He was even more obedient than a remote-controlled toy, doing everything Attarah told him to do.

His behavior deterred everyone from. However, Abigail was not afraid. She lunged forward and scratched Raicko's face, shouting, "Well, Attarah, let me die then. I won't live anymore. I've had enough of this!"

Raicko dodged in time, but his neck did not survive Abigail's claws, leaving him with some scratches.

"Mama!" Attarah didn't know what to do. Suddenly, there was a bright light shining from outside the villa. It was so dazzling that Abigail instinctively raised her hand to shield her face. Everyone instinctively turned to look the same way.

Some men entered Cade's house. Leon, sighing in the courtyard, asked who they were looking for, but he received no response.

"Who are you looking for?" When Mrs. Cade saw the few men entering the living room, she asked sternly,

Lyla stood up in surprise and greeted, "Mr. Ross? Grandma, let me introduce you to the president of Glam Film Studio, Mr. Sean Ross."

The president of Glam Film Studio, a subsidiary of the Dragon's Palace Conglomerate? Wow. He is then a VIP.

Everyone in the room swarmed forward, including Dylan. They smiled warmly, welcoming his arrival.

Mr. Ross smiled at Lyla and spoke to Mrs. Cade, "May I ask if you are Mrs. Cade?"

Mrs. Cade nodded and replied, "Yes, I am."

"Our boss is in love with the daughter of the Cade family. He told me to send her a little gift. Please accept it."

Mr. Ross raised his hand, and the two men behind him approached with a suitcase each. They walked to the table and opened the suitcases.

Everyone's eyes widened as they saw the suitcases contained cash.

Our boss said that the Cade family is going through a financial crisis. So, it would be better to send something more practical. There is $5 million in cash here.

"My duty is done. Goodbye!" Ross turned and left with his men without waiting for the Cade family to respond.

A boss fell in love with the daughter of the Cade family, prompting the president of Glam Film Studio to send five million dollars in cash overnight. Five million dollars may not be much for Glam Film Studio, but Ross was a big shot.

Which daughter of the Cade family had caught the boss's attention? Therefore, no one could bother Raicko. They redirected their attention to Lyla.

There were five people in the third generation of the Cade family, but there were only two daughters, Attarah and Lyla. Attarah had been married to a disreputable man. Therefore, the boss had no choice but to fall in love with Lyla Cade, a popular celebrity.

Lyla, who suddenly became the center of attention, frowned. She did not like such a blatant form of courtship. For a celebrity who earned a million dollars a year, five million dollars was nothing. However, Lyla's parents smiled smugly. Just as they were about to say something, someone else came.

"Greetings, Mrs Cade." I am Archie Philips, Skyrim Properties' president. Our boss is in love with the Cade family's daughter. He has asked me to send a small gift of $5 million to help ease the Cade family's financial crisis. Please verify the amount and accept this!"

Five million dollars?! Another five million dollars! And this continued repeatedly.

In half an hour, eight prestigious Skyrim presidents came personally and said the same thing, each presenting a so-called small gift. This amounted to forty million dollars!

"Even Lyla, who earned a million dollars a year, could not keep her composure when she saw forty million dollars in cash in front of her. Her cheeks were red, and her body was trembling."

Everyone in the house stood staring at the piles of cash, not understanding. Mrs. Cade finally spoke up: "Lyla, you are the benefactor of the Cade family."

Lyla blinked and said softly, "Grandma, I am the daughter of the Cade family..."

Suddenly, someone spoke, interrupting Lyla: "This money is not for you."

Everyone turned to the voice. It was Attarah's idiot husband.

Mrs. Cade's lips trembled, asking, "Idiot. Next, tell me. Who is this money for?"

"I gave the money to my sister." Raicko took Attarah's icy hand and calmly said, "Sissy caused a financial crisis for the Cade family, and I will pay three times the amount on her behalf."

No one responded. Abigail was the first to put him in his place, "Nonsense! Idiot! Would it kill you not to talk nonsense for once?!"

Who would believe that Raicko Ryller, who had embarrassed the entire Cade family, could make leaders of various businesses in Nebula send forty million dollars overnight? Forget about the rest of them, not even Attarah would believe it.

For the past three years, Raicko had repeatedly told people he owned the Dragon Palace and could move tens of billions of dollars with a single phone call. He also said he would make Attarah the most honorable queen in the world. It was all Attarah's fault for reading him too many fairy tales.

Everyone burst into laughter. Their previous pain had been forgotten.

Abigail almost lost consciousness from anger. She roared, "Attarah, get rid of this idiot right now!"

"I am telling the truth," Raicko thought. He was about to speak, but a cold and delicate hand covered his mouth.

Attarah was anxious and guilty. She was on the verge of tears and pleaded, "My dear brother, please don't embarrass your Sissy anymore."

What more could Raicko say? He let out a deep cry.

"Fine. Forget about the idiot," With forty million dollars in cash, Mrs. Cade was in a good mood. She couldn't worry about Raicko. She turned to look at Dylan.

Dylan's face was serious, looking darker than ever. The aggressive actions of the Dragon Palace boss had turned his threat into a joke.

Dylan was too embarrassed to stay. He walked towards the door and shouted at Attarah, "Don't think just because the Cade family has connections with the rich and powerful, you may belittle me. Bitch, just wait. I'll do it."

Dylan hadn't finished his sentence when Raicko suddenly raised his leg and delivered a brutal kick to his groin.
