As Yuqin got off the plane after ten hours, she felt exhausted and fatigued. Max and Ling helped Yuqin with her luggage and went to the exit. Meiling, who was Yuqin's friend back at the academy, waited for her. She waved at Yuqin while Max and Ling gave her luggage and making sure she was safe. Yuqin thanked them and told them she'll be alright.
"Call us if you need anything. I don't think Boss will be able to answer his phone for a while." Max told her while he waved goodbye.
Meiling looked at Yuqin and hugged her tightly, "Yuqin, it's been a long time. I felt like it's been forever since we last talked! By the way, who were they? Was that your boyfriend? He's cute!" Yuqin smiled and shook her head, "They are my fiance's close friends."
"You're engaged?! When?" Meiling looked at Yuqin's finger and saw the ring, "Wow, it's gorgeous! When are you getting married?" Yuqin shook her head, "Hope we can married after everything is done. I hope my unborn child will be safe as well." Meiling was ecstatic and replied, "You're also pregnant? And-And you're here to rescue? W-Wait how many months?"
"A bit more than two months. I finished my checkup and the doctor said I'll be fine to travel and say that I have to keep my stress level at a minimum. Otherwise there will be a high risk of miscarriage if I'm not careful. Meiling, are we meeting up with Sam and the others?" Yuqin asked as she was feeling a bit tired.
"We'll settle in the hotel first. Our first gathering will be tomorrow morning. Are you going to be okay with that? You look really tired." Meiling helped her with the luggage as the taxi came. Yuqin onto the car first and Meiling went in second.
"Yuqin, I'll let you know when we reach the hotel. Take a rest, it will be another hour or so." Meiling smiled and told the taxi driver about the address. Yuqin nodded and dozed off. She wasn't even sure if she can do the rescue because the fatigue was getting to her. As she slept, she didn't even think about anything. She only wanted to have enough energy for tomorrow morning.
After an hour and a half, they finally reached the hotel. Yuqin felt a bit better but she needed to sleep as soon as she's in her room. Meiling checked in for Yuqin and gave her the room key.
"We'll be sharing a room. Here's your room key."
Yuqin took the key and placed it inside her pocket. As she reached floor seven, the hallway was very quiet.
"All of the rooms have soundproof walls." Meiling told Yuqin, "We can't even hear if someone snores." She laughed a bit.
After they entered the room, the bed looked very comfy. There's a desk and a 8K TV installed on the wall. Meiling placed Yuqin's luggage near the window.
"The big windows are my favorite, you could see everything." Meiling smiled, "I'll go out and get something to drink. Do you want hot or cold?
"Hot, please. Water is fine. Thank you." Yuqin saw her leave and she began to organize her stuff. She took out her changed clothes and went into the shower. After taking a shower, she went to bed immediately. She didn't even know her phone was ringing. Meiling came back and locked the door quietly. She placed the hot water on the bedside table while turning off the light on Yuqin's side. She closed the curtains and dimmed every light in the room. She adjusted the A/C to a more comfortable temperature.
Meiling went out again since she got a call, it was Sean.
Sean was waiting in the lobby and waved at Meiling, "Isn't Yuqin with you?"
"She's sleeping now. Must be tired from the flight. She's pregnant, two months already." Meiling told Sean and he was speechless.
"For now, let's not tell anyone except for Sam since he needs to know everyone's condition before sending us down there." Meiling told Sean and he agreed.
"Let's go and find Sam. He should be coming back soon. Oh, speak of the devil, here he comes." Sean waved at Sam and Meiling followed closely behind.
"Did Yuqin come?" Sam asked.
"She's in her room resting. Instructor, we need to tell you something. Keep it a secret from everyone." Meiling and Sean brought Sam to a more private room.
"What is it?" Sam asked.
"Yuqin's two months pregnant, and we don't want her to be too stressed or fatigued. So, we're just telling you that she's a special case." Meiling told him and Sam nodded, "First of all, congratulations to her and second, thanks for telling me. I won't ask her to leave since she already came but I'll send her down if she's really okay with it. I'll make sure to keep her safe. You two, keep a close watch. And let me know if she needs anything." They nodded and all of them went their separate ways.

The next morning, Yuqin felt so much better and refreshed. She felt like it's been ages since she slept this well. She checked time and it was 7 am. Their meeting will be at 8:30 am. Meiling was already awake and taking a shower. Yuqin can't believe she slept for almost twelve hours. She felt her abdomen again and it was showing a bit. She quickly changed her clothes while Meiling came out of the shower.
"You've slept like a log last night." Meiling teased her.
"I know. It's the first time I've slept this long. Taking care of this little one is a lot of work." Yuqin smiled while Meiling walked over, "Can I touch?" Yuqin nodded.
"I can feel the bump. How are you feeling?" Meiling asked.
"Feeling good. Not feeling nauseous at all. I'll quickly wash up so we can get our breakfast." Yuqin smiled and Meiling signaled okay with her hand.
After half an hour, they both got ready and got their essential items. There were already a lot of people in the breakfast lounge. Yuqin apologized to Meiling, "I'm sorry I took a long time in the bathroom." Meiling shook her head, "It's okay, there are plenty of seats in the back." As they got seated, Sean and Nathan joined in.
"Yuqin! Remember us?" Sean asked and got breakfast for the two young ladies.
"This is their breakfast. Simple but delicious. I didn't know what you liked so I chose the most basic, scrambled eggs, bacons, toast with peanut butter. They had a lot of local delicacies. I got some fruits as well." Sean said.
"This is perfect, Sean. Thank you." Yuqin thanked him before digging in.
"Yuqin skipped dinner last night so she must be hungry." Sean teased her.
Yuqin chuckled and nodded, "You're right."
Just then, a group of military and police officers came into the hotel. Yuqin and Meiling looked at each other then at them. Sean leaned in and told them, "Someone told me they're checking to see if we are carrying any weapons or other dangerous items. Since this is a tourist hotspot, terrorists are likely to be roaming around. But this hotel is known to be quite safe so it's only a routine check. When they come to us, act normal. Don't say anything. Don't make any suspicious expressions."
Meiling and Yuqin nodded and acted kind of relieved and safe in a way. As the military and police officers came to their table, there was a man in black behind the two soldiers. On his uniform said SWAT team, he was tall with broad shoulders, Yuqin felt a familiarity but she wasn't sure since he was wearing a black mask and sunglasses. As the soldiers came to Yuqin, the man in the black SWAT uniform stopped them and said, "I'll do it." As the man walked closer to Yuqin, she felt a sense of calm and safety. She didn't say a word to him and remained neutral. The man in the black uniform stood up and said, "All safe. Next table."
