Yuqin and other group members were rescuing people who jumped off the ship. Not only them but groups of specially trained navy personnel were also helping them. Yuqin and Meiling helped a young child and their siblings to get on the other boat. While they were helping passengers, other soldiers and SWAT police are on the lookout for any potential terrorists. Thankfully after three hours and a half, they managed to safe all of the passengers. As the passengers left the site on another boat, the empty ship bursted into flames. Yuqin and Meiling got onto their boat safely with Han Rong helping them. Everyone looked the wreckage and some of the passengers were crying and relieved at the same time. Yuqin wasn't able to communicate with the passengers since they all spoke different languages. Only a few could speak English.
"Yuqin, how are you feeling?" Meiling asked her as she took off her mask. Yuqin was smiling and replied, "Felt great. Except I'm sweating." The weather was definitely on the hotter side today with the temperature reaching close to 50 degrees celsius. Sean passed two water bottles to Yuqin and Meiling. Meiling and Yuqin looked at Han Rong while he was chatting with another soldier.
"Yuqin, how did you guys meet?" Meiling nudged her while Yuqin slowly sipped on her water.
"We met at a cafe back home. He was still a university student and I was in high school during my senior year. But we broke after a year or so after I went to university. Then he got severely injured and we managed to see each other again after eight years." Yuqin smiled as she remembered every moment.
"Now I'm relieved." Meiling smiled as she looked at the horizon. Han Rong sat back down because his headache came back again. Yuqin looked at Han Rong and gave her water bottle to him.
"How are you feeling?" Yuqin gently held his hand as he finished the bottled water.
"My headache is better now. Thank you. It's probably the heat." He looked at her then slowly leaned on her shoulder, "Call me up when we're at the port." Yuqin nodded and replied, "Rest then, I'll call you up." Meiling looked at them and tried not to laugh. She focused her attention to Sean and Nathan who were looking at the horizon.
"What are you up to?" Meiling asked Sean was trying to get some signal for his phone.
"Still no signal. I was trying to send a WeChat message to my mom about the rescue mission but I couldn't get any signal. Anyways, do we have any other plans after heading back?" He asked her but Meiling shrugged.
"We'll wait and see." Meiling sighed as she yawned.
"You didn't sleep last night?" Sean asked her.
"I did but I wish we could sleep more. I'm exhausted." Meiling sipped on her water while trying to stay awake. She looked at Yuqin who was looking at her phone while Han Rong was sleeping soundly. Just then a soldier tapped on Han Rong's shoulder but that unexpected tap triggered Han Rong. He pointed his gun at the soldier while protecting Yuqin with his back facing her. The soldier placed both of his hands up in the air.
"Officer Han Rong, I'm sorry to scare you. But someone is calling you."
Han Rong put his gun back and then apologized. He looked at Yuqin again then held her hand, "I'll be back." Yuqin nodded as well as a little speechless. Meiling came over and asked if she was alright.
"It's okay, Meiling. I'm alright. Han Rong was probably just as surprised as I was. But I'm okay. I just hope he's okay."
It was her first time witnessing this side of him and it made her a bit worried. After half an hour, they reached the port but Han Rong was still on call with someone. Yuqin asked Meiling and Sean to go first as she waits for Han Rong to finish calling. A few minutes later, Han Rong finished talking and then saw Yuqin waiting for him beside a motorbike. She already took off her equipment off her back and then unzipped her uniform.
" Did you wait long?" He asked while wiping off his sweat from his forehead. Yuqin smiled and shook her head. She used her bare head to wipe off the sweat from his forehead.
"How are you feeling?" She asked him.
"I was just surprised and you know, by instinct, I did that." He slightly laughed at himself, "I'm crazy, right?"
"You were trained to be alert at all time even when you're resting. That's understandable. It's nothing to be embarrassed about. What are your plans for the rest of the day?"
"I'm planning on going to my teammate's memorial but I don't think I'm ready. Enough about me, how's our little one?" He held her hand as they walked back to the change room.
"Doing well. No problems yet. Han Rong, you know how surprised I was when I saw you on the boat? I didn't think it was you. Why didn't you tell me?" Yuqin asked and he looked at her with a strange expression.
"You didn't know it was me? I gave you clues." He smiled at her but he didn't say anything else.
"The hotel one? But you were wearing your black sunglasses so I wasn't sure it was you." She replied.
"I wouldn't let any men touch you. But Henry was a different story, he helped you and I trust him since he's married." Yuqin nodded and replied, "Makes sense. But you could've told me it was you. I feel so embarrassed that I said those things to you."
Han Rong stopped and looked at Yuqin with the most gentle and loving expression.
"Everything I do will be for security reasons but for you, you don't need to feel embarrassed. I'm very lucky to have you by my side at this moment. Do you know how much I love you?" He looked at her intensely. Yuqin looked at him with the same intensity and kissed him.
"I know." She whispered.
