As they left the chapel, Han Rong remained silent on the car. Yuqin held on to his free hand and gently held it. After they stopped at the hotel, Yuqin kissed him and said, "Han Rong, remember that incident wasn't your fault." He looked at her once more and leaned in.
"Yuqin, thank you for being there for me. You're leaving tomorrow, right?" Han Rong caressed the back of her neck and gently embraced her.
"I'm leaving the day after tomorrow. Are you leaving as well?" She asked while hugging him back.
"I'll be staying here for another three to four days."
"I thought you rescued the VIP already." Yuqin looked at him and he nodded, "We did. But we have to finish other miscellaneous things. After you go back, message me. When you see my parents and Lingling, let them know I'm doing well."
"For sure. Han Rong, drive safe. I'll see you very soon." Yuqin kissed him again then he held onto her hands one last time.
"Yuqin, I don't know if I'm going to be a good father but I promise you, I'll do what I can for our family." Han Rong smiled at her and Yuqin nodded, "You'll be great. Don't worry. We will be waiting for you." After sharing their final goodbye kiss, Yuqin went back to the hotel.
For the next few days, Yuqin stayed in contact with Officer Albert since Han Rong was unreachable. He was transferred to another base but she was relieved that he was doing well. Especially the night they went back after going to the chapel, Han Rong looked different than usual. He's much more relaxed and he wasn't on edge like he used to be.
Today, it was Yuqin's group last day of working in Bashariq. She knew it was a short-term trip but she couldn't help but think about the people she helped. Were they well? How about those kids without their parents? She couldn't think too much because it would just hurt her more. Yuqin and Meiling got on the bus while the others were already seated.
"Finally, we get to go home. The weather is killing me. It's been like days without rain." Meiling was complaining about the weather since they came and Yuqin understood her feeling but she tried to remain in a good mood because she doesn't want her moods to affect her baby.
Yuqin sat beside the window while Meiling sat beside her. As the people filled up the seats, Sam stood up and counted to make there was no one missing. As soon as he finished counting, he told the bus driver to start driving.
When they were halfway to the airport, the bus driver suddenly braked the bus. Nearly everyone woke up from their nap.
"What happened?" One person stood up and asked the bus driver. The driver told them the road is blocked so he'll try to take a detour. As soon as he did a detour, a black jeep beeped at them. Meiling looked outside the bus window along with Yuqin, who just woke up from her nap.
"Yuqin, I have a bad feeling." Meiling said as she instinctively took out her phone. When the black jeep stopped, the driver of the jeep, who was wearing a military uniform, came out of the vehicle.
"Don't move or we'll shoot!" The man in the military uniform pointed his rifle along with his buddies. The driver explained he had to get the passengers to the airport. But the military personnel didn't care, one personnel stormed into the bus then shot the driver. The driver screamed in pain shortly afterward. Sam stood up with his hands up in the air, "Sir, I don't know who or what you are looking for but we need to leave now. Which military base are you from?"
"You don't need to know." One of the military personnel shouted at Sam, "We only want one person." Everyone on the bus was speechless.
"Who are you looking for?" Sam asked.
"Zhou Yuqin." The military personnel took out a photo and showed it to everyone. They all looked at Yuqin and she finally stood.
"What do you want from me?" She asked in a firm voice.
"What we want is to revenge for our brother's death. Someone close to you killed him. You know who he is. He is your fiance. Right?" The military personnel looked at her while Yuqin didn't look afraid.
"Let them go. I'll go with you." Yuqin slowly walked to the front and secretly gave a note to Sam.
"Call Han Rong with this number. Tell him I loved him." Sam looked at Yuqin but closed his eyes and clenched his fist. Meiling looked horrified but she was afraid to make any movements.
Yuqin went out of the bus so no one else was hurt. Sam immediately called Han Rong and after two rings, Han Rong picked up the phone without looking at the phone number.
"Yuqin?" He asked, "Did you get to the airport safely?" After a moment of silence, Han Rong knew something was wrong.
"Who is this?" He asked in a cold and stern voice.
"Of-Officer Han Rong, I'm sorry. I couldn't do anything." Sam stuttered a bit and Han Rong yelled, "What happened to Yuqin? Tell me!!"
"Yu-Yuqin was kidnapped by a few military uniformed man. One of them said that their brother was killed because of you. And they wanted revenge. Yuqin left with them so they wouldn't hurt us but the bus driver was shot and he needs medical attention asap." Sam tightly held his phone and tried not to cry.
"Stay on the line. I'll come over. Don't go anywhere. I already called the local police, military, and SWAT team to help. I know who kidnapped Yuqin. I'll rescue her." Sam nodded and looked at everyone, "We'll have to stay here for a bit longer. Help is coming." Everyone sat back down while two other members did a quick first aid for the bus driver.
