It has been a week since my encounter with the goddess. Luton is still unconscious and requires round the clock care. Some physical signs are starting to manifest. His face looks younger with less wrinkles, his arms which were thin are now starting to get some muscle. Another unique trait that was observed was that an attendant felt an electrical shock while wiping Luton's body with a wet cloth. A kin to a thunder dragon, very exciting to see. According to Jenga, it is possible that once Luton grows strong enough, it is possible for him to dragonize his body. This means turning into a full blown dragon with some human DNA. Considering that three drops of my blood made him this capable, a dragon's species is truly powerful and majestic. His mana reserves were continually increasing and were now at 67,000 though he was still unconscious. He was now more powerful than the any and all of the Six Talons combined. The talons mana capacity ranged from 800- 1500, powerful by human standard but weak compared to other species. Maybe I should ask them to become my kin to increase their power. The danger that was looming required more powerful people as opposed to a large number of weaker individuals. Taking out a mid-level spider was impossible for any army within the Central Continent. Their man reserves and use of magic was almost nonexistent. Only a small portion of the continent dealt with spirits and borrowed their power to use magic. Luton, the most impressive magician I had come across on the continent was a foreigner. I did not see any hope of them winning and this was the reason why I needed to shift my focus from magic to modern weaponry to help them. When it came to my home ground Capel, it would be challenging but they could do it if they somehow managed to catch the spider by surprise and build a trap. Soldiers and the normal population Capel Kingdom and its neighbors was adept at using magic. With a concentrated effort, they could in theory defeat a single mid-level spider. If my pets Pitch and Alpha and their followers took part in the struggle, victory was guaranteed. However if the number of midlevel spiders increased to three or more, there was no hope for the kingdom. With this in mind, I should try and convince the Talons and some of their top subordinates to become my kin. This ensures safety within the Island of despair. The dragons led by their emperor were not in any trouble at all. At least from the level of threat of the spiders currently. A single one of them could take out multiple mid-level spiders at once and win. However, according to legends passed down to them, they understood that the titans were much more of a threat. After perusing through old books and scrolls in the Dragon's library. Zora learnt that the titans were as large in frame as dragons and boasted a troublesome ability. Fire resistance. Their physical strength and abilities were also nothing to scoff at. It was stated that a titan once leaped to the sky and strangled a Wind Dragon midflight during the last war. It is not known the distance the Titan leaped or if the Wind Dragon was defeated in the end. Zora notified me that Combat drills were taking place within the dragons' domain in preparation for their fight against titans. It was therefore decided that Zari's team and I would deal with the Arachnid General while Zora and his team would deal with the Titans and their general. The sea serpent was going to be dealt with by the Dragon Emperor Zurin and his team. According to what the priestess had told me before, the Arachnid general was ten times stronger than me. This was when I was an elemental dragon boasting twenty five million mana reserves. This meant that the Arachnid general had at least 250 million mana reserves. A very troublesome figure in deed. With this in mind, I did not neglect my training. Zari, her subordinates and I all trained in a desolate and uninhabited plain daily. We conducted mock battles in dragon and human form after hunting down some spiders. I learnt that it is possible to use lightning speed ability in dragon form but only for ten seconds. This ability allowed me to zoom past my opponents at top speeds. Only light attacks were faster than me but considering their low damage attack capability, I always won each duel. "Is that a new dragon species?" one of Zari's subordinate asked. This was after I had thrashed her severely in a mock battle. We were both fighting in dragon form. She tried fire attacks and earth attacks but throwing cone shaped pieces of earth at me. I used gravity magic and redirected the attacks. She tried it once more but this time more ferociously but I also redirected that attack. She then came in close for a one vs one fight. She utilized her claws, her bites and her tail but they did not harm me. Instead the kinetic energy from the attacks were turned to electric energy which led me to unleashing a limited lightning attack against her. "Yes. I call it a Thunder Dragon." I said. She was not badly injured and with the dragon's regenerative ability, she was going to be as good as new within a few hours. "I will go next." Said another of Zari's subordinate. Unlike the previous fighter, this guy utilized large area of attack principles to avoid redirection of his attacks. It worked for the first few minutes because redirecting a tornado from wind magic is not as easy as doing so to a rock thrown at you. As a result most of his initial attacks hit me. It was possible to counter this attacks by utilizing my control weather ability but I needed to practice my gravity magic. After a few tries, I was able to disrupt the tornado spell by introducing higher pressure cells within individual tornadoes leading to their internal collapse. I was extremely proud of this achievement. "HAHA what are you going to do now?" Zari taunted her subordinate. He formed a single large tornado unlike the previous time where he formed multiple smaller tornadoes. The tornadoes were not lethal by themselves but when mixed with the sand and other abrasives, their scratching and cutting power greatly increased when they came into contact with my scales. Of course I my case I was just collecting electrical energy from the impacts and not suffering any real damage. I was interested in what he was going to pull. The battlefield was filled with dust reducing visibility. Through my ability 'Awareness' it was possible to follow the movements of my competitor. I could sense him encroaching from above but I decided to monitor him instead of acting. He landed on my back, bit my neck and began trying to roll on the ground. However, that was useless. All it took was me running an electric current through my external body and he quickly let go of my neck. He was immobilized for a few minutes and I took the opportunity to whack him with my tail. This was how almost all the matches against me went. While I practiced my gravity magic, Zari and her subordinates tried out their skills and attack against a live sturdy target, me. I also met with the commander of the second army responsible for engineering inside the Orthon Kingdom. I gave her a blueprint of a shoulder fired rocket launcher and the rocket design a while back. Today was going to be the first trial and tests of the effectiveness of the weapon. We had captured a low-level spider and placed it near the battlefield as we practiced. After I defeated all my challengers, it was time to go back to the temple. I personally carried the metal bound spider using levitation from gravity magic and led the way to the army's barracks. "Sir Chrono. Welcome. I finished the design. Place that spider over there." The commander of the second army said. I looked at the completed product and the level of workmanship was just as plain as expected. This was because earth magic was not and could not be utilized. I placed the spider at the location specified and took a step back. The second army commander aimed at the spider and launched the rocket. It landed directly on the head and splattered it all over the compound. "Yes." The second commander shouted. This was a partial success according to me because the spider's body and legs were still moving. It was not instantly killed. For the commander however, she saw things differently. This new weapon brought hope to the kingdom that they could withstand any attack. For the mid-level spiders, shoulder fired rockets were not going to be sufficient. I was thinking of introducing artillery systems however, calculating the angles and distances was going to prove difficult to this group of people. The Orthon kingdom had a large amount of minerals similar to gun powder and large deposits of metallic ores. This was one of the reasons that the Lokain leadership were so insistent on conquering this kingdom. "Try to increase their destructive capacity. As you can see, the spider is not yet dead." I said. "Don't worry sir Chrono. I already have an idea on what to improve." The commander said. My work was almost done on this continent. Large numbers of spiders had already been subjugated with no signs of the general appearing. Since we started applying the technique of luring more spiders, the number of spiders have been decreasing on a daily basis. In fact today we only dealt with fifty spiders throughout the continent for eight hours. What is keeping us here currently is the weapons development program that I had initiated and Luton's unconscious state.
