"Zari, capture that spider and let's take it outside." I shouted. "You won't destroy the cave?" The Duke asked. "Well if we do that, then capturing and destroying spiders becomes a more difficult task. This cave acts as a trap for spiders." I answered. The general nodded in satisfaction. "Yes. That is a very good strategy." The general said. Zari moved with haste. She used light fire attacks to corner the spider and then froze it in a block of ice. "Chrono, come take it." She shouted. Zari and her subordinates had not mastered Gravity Magic as well as me hence moving the giant spider through limited space was a challenge for them. They had the strength to levitate it outside but lacked the precision to do so without causing damage to the cave. I walked towards the ice block and began shaving off the excess sizes. I did so using gravity magic where I formed a small gravitational field on the ice extensions and 'eating' them away by condensing them. "Alright. Now I shall begin to move it. Zari lead the way." I said. Zari led the group in front of the cargo while I came from behind. The shape and size of the ice block was now convenient to move around. A moment later, I joined the group outside while carrying the spider. I used earth magic and formed a cage around the ice block. Zari took this chance and thawed out the ice on its head by using limited fire magic. "That thing is huge." "They can move soil?" "Where did the ice come from?" All manner of questions were flying around. "Calm yourselves. Show courage." The duke shouted. For somebody who was screaming like a child recently he sure has the gall t say something like that. I was not the only one who found this amusing. Zari was full on laughing at his face. Perhaps seeing this, the duke tried to change the subject. "Our heroes here will protect us. Do not worry about anything." The Duke tried to play it off. "Wow. It's a good thing I brought out my latest iteration. I worked on it the whole night." Commander of the Second army said. The shoulder launched rocket looked exactly the same. Maybe its contents were different is what she was hinting at. "This is a Mid-Level spider. We say mid because they are not guarding the queen spider and seem like ordinary soldiers. According to our estimates, there are likely other larger spiders." I said. "Each Commander here is skilled in combat. We are going to free this spider and have the commanders together with their subordinates try to kill it. My team will be here so don't worry about anything." Zari said. "Before I release this spider, I am going to tell you about its abilities." I said. I then went on and talked about the spider for a few minutes and after answering the questions, I let them test themselves. I released the stone cage and thawed out the rest of the spider. It was in a very aggressive state. To give the crowd a chance I placed heavy rocks on its legs to act as weights and stood back to watch. "I am done." I said as I flew away and sat next to Zari's group. "How do you think they will do?" I asked Zari. "They won't land a single hit on that thing." Zari said. "If they do they won't leave a scratch" "They won't last for a long time." Zari's subordinates all gave their opinions. The spider tried to use its speed to catch the Prince off-guard but the weights I had placed countered that. The Spider then turned its body to the Crowds direction and began throwing some spider webs. Four people were caught and were struggling to free themselves. "What did I tell you? Not a single hit." Zari said raising her index finger. The spider turned around and was about to launch an attack on the four helpless victims. I was now standing and ready to offer my help before I saw it. A large flash of light on the battlefield. I followed the projectile's movement with my eyes using my insane speed that made everything around me appear stationary. But this projectile was different, the speed was quite impressive when compared to most things which were not me. The rocket went on and hit the body of the spider, penetrated a little bit before blowing up inside the body. The projectile managed to pierce the exoskeleton of the spider which was a big achievement. A screeching sound was heard. The spider's body had a large hole relative to human standards but when compared to its overall surface area, less than 5% was actually damaged. "Yes. It worked. It worked. My all night effort was not in vain." The Commander of the second army shouted. The spider was stunned and jumped back to a safe distance. "This humans are very creative. Haha, good job." Zari said. She was in an ecstatic mood. "I am very impressed." "Right? They blew a hole although a small one on its body." Zari's subordinates started their chatter. I was keeping a close eye on the spider to ensure that it did not conduct the infamous suicide attacks. "That was you Commander?" The General asked. "Yes general although I only made one of them." The commander of the Second army stated. Geniuses of any era were indeed very impressive. If I was not wrong, that was some delayed fuse mechanism even though I did not teach it to her. The spider then started throwing venomous attacks against the crowd. It had given up on the idea of having a meal and now regarded them as an enemy that has to die. I was about to head out before Zari stopped me. "This humans have entertained me enough. I will handle this." Zari said. I stepped back and watched her fly away. She conjured ice poles while up in the air and launched them against the spider. They penetrated the body of the spiders and anchored themselves to the ground. In that single attack, the spider was dead. "You have done very well particularly you. Good work." Zari said as she pet the commander of the second army on the head. "You killed it that easily Miss Zari?" the Duke shouted. Zari was holding back against the spiders in the cave to avoid destroying it. The Duke probably though that Zari had used her maximum level of strength. "They are not very strong to me or my team." Zari answered. "I think you should prepare with more weapons and people for the next encounter. Next time your goal should be to kill it." I said as soon as I landed. "Yes Sir Chrono. Now that my improvements have worked. We can begin mass producing." The commander of the second army said. "Yes. I agree. There is not much we can do against the spiders with this number of people and weapons." The general said. Some discussions followed and it was agreed that the weapons would be ready in two weeks and a larger number of subjugation forces would be recruited. "Alright we are going to fly you home just as before so…" I said before I was interrupted. "Some of us want to ride the carriage home. It is not very far away. We can walk to the nearest town and pay them to take us home." The Duke said. "Why the sudden change?" I asked. Apparently our speeds were too high when we came here. We had limited our speed to nt more than 10% so it was a shock to learn speed was their major concern. Although later on when I compared our speed to that of a carriage, I could see their point. "I want to go with your group. If you don't mind, could you train me?" Prince Roy asked. Zari looked at me and then at Roy. "I don't think we can train you. Your kind has limited strength." Zari said. Roy looked confused a little when he heard the term 'your kind'. "What do you mean?" Roy asked puzzled. "Well how about you follow us. We are conducting mock battles against each other today." Zari said with an evil smile s she looked at me. What have they planned? I wonder. "If it is not too much trouble. This old man would like to see your fights against each other." The general said. "No problem. Come, let us leave immediately." Zari answered. The Crowd had begun descending the hill heading to a town that we had passed on our way here. Conversations were taking place in full earnest. "If we get enough weapons we can defend ourselves." "Don't forget the training." "If we can have more soldiers then I think we can win." "What if we make a bigger weapon and not many smaller ones?" "That should come later when we have tested the big weapon. For now I think many smaller weapons are better." The conversation were very intense.
