Chapter 56 - Chapter 56:The Admission

It was noon. The dragons were laying scattered on the ground. My first task was to collect their unconscious bodies and place them next to each other. It was impossible for a dragon too change from its natural form to human form while unconscious. This meant that I was going to move several tons at a go from oe location to another. "What are you doing?" Zari asked me. "I want to move them to one place." I answered. "Why?" Zari asked. Truth is, I did not know why I was doing all this. Maybe I was feeling guilty for going all out, but I was not sure. So I deflected the question. "Why not? I need to see if I can heal." I answered as I flew in my dragon form. I landed net to one of the dragons and begun thinking of ow to move them. Gravity magic at this time was impossible because I had exhausted myself. I sank my claws at the dragon's back and begun to fly using my wings. Damn that dragon was heavy. I stopped thrice before reaching my intended location. This was not going to be an easy task. I also identified a weakness of mine that I had. My stamina in Dragon form was extremely weak. In fact compared to the rest of the dragons, my physicality was average at best. My magic and my unique kinetic energy absorbing scales was the reason it was hard t defeat me. I had only flown a short distance carrying approximately my body weight and I was too exhausted to stand. It had been a long time since I did the vigorous exercises that I used to do back in the Lokain Capital with my tutors. "Out of breath already? Fine watch them I will bring those rascals back here." Zari said as she handed me the two humans resting on her palm. I took the two and nodded at her. Zari did not use gravity magic to levitate the unconscious dragon bodies but decided to mimic my technique. My fear was confirmed. Zari did not rest at any point and moved the remaining four dragon bodies back here with ease. Sure I was tired from the fighting but putting that aside, I didn't think I could accomplish the same task as easily. My dragon frame was indeed stronger than all the other species but was untrained. It lacked any muscular features and was more like an out of shape lizard. My constant use of magic and weapons coupled with always facing weaker opponents had resulted in my complacency in body training exercises. "Hey Zari. How do you train your body when in dragon form?" I asked. Zari looked a little puzzled from the question. "Why do you ask? You are already strong enough." Zari answered. "No. My Dragon frame is too weak. Sure my magic is powerful but this new dragon body is extremely weak." I answered. "Weak? They couldn't even hurt you. What weak are you talking about?" Zari said while confused. From their perspective, I must be strong but from my point of view, my previous dragon form had better coordination of muscles and strength. This dragon form felt underutilized. I knew this dragon form was 10% smaller than I was originally, but that didn't feel like a sensible excuse. "I lack better coordination of muscles while in dragon form. I also think that my physicality is not at its optimum level." I said. Zari's eyes shone after I said that. "That makes sense. This is a new form. How about fighting without using your magic from now on. Don't use it even for flight." Zari answered. That was not a bad idea to be honest. "How about you rest for now and we begin training in a few hours as we wait for this rascals. They did well. I am proud of them." Zari said. I turned to human form and sat on a recliner chair I had just made from earth magic and placed the two humans on a bed like structure I had just created next to me. I began thinking about the last attack that I had conducted. It fried the nerves together with the brain. It had to be some sort of wave radiation attack. A physical attack that passes through a dragon's magic barrier. I call it physical because it did not use any mana but instead used electrical energy stored within my body as a source. What a frightening ability. "What is going on?" I heard a voice next to me. I looked around to see Prince Roy awake. "Where am I and why is it dark already?" The price continued with his questions. He had woken up eight hours later and was looking around. We had not lit a fire because we did not need. Both Zari and I did not need protection or visibility from fire hence we were just staying in the dark quietly. "Roy you are awake good now…" Zari was interrupted. "Zari, is that you? I can't see in this darkness. " Roy said. Zari conjured some fire and set it above our heads. "Aaah! I am going to die!" Roy began screaming. I immediately stood up and began looking for threats. Roy noticing this pointed his finger at a particular direction. But all I could see were Zari's subordinates sleeping peacefully. We had arranged their bodies in such a way that we were at the middle."Are you talking about Zari's subordinated?" I asked exasperated. Zari laughed at this statement. "Roy, that is not very nice." Zari said while chocking. I was glad that she was having a good time but I was not too pleased with getting up from my comfortable position. "Old man. We know that you have been awake for several hours now." I said. "Forgive me. I simply did not want to intrude on your personal spaces." The general said. "Oh please old man. You were terrified, I could hear your heart racing from the moment you woke up." Zari said. The general gave an involuntary chuckle before following up with a question. "Sir Chrono and miss Zari, I have a request. Long ago my grandfather told me of a wondrous land made of ice. Buildings and roads and sculptures, everything is made of ice. It is said that its inhabitants were pale and had white hair from the time they were born. It was said that some of the inhabitants could turn into a dragon. I thought those stories were untrue because it is impossible to leave or come into the continent because of sea monsters. Hence it was impossible to know about an area that is outside the continent. So I ask you both, are you residents of this wonderful place?" The general asked. He was so excited when talking about that place that I wondered if given the chance, would he wish to visit? "No. Our land is just as normal as any. Trees, grass and earth." Zari answered. The general looked crushed once he heard this. Perhaps it was his long lost dream to travel to that paradise."You are probably talking about the Northern Continent. We plan to go there eventually once we are done dealing with everything here and back home." I said. The general's face lit up upon hearing that such a place indeed exists. "Don't worry old man. We can take you for a visit when we come back." Zari said. I was impresses that she could read a room and accurately react to it. "So you people are not humans?" Roy asked. "No. I am a fire dragon together with my subordinates. Chrono is a thunder dragon." Zari answered. The general and the prince had many questions from their discovery. "So it was you people who went to Lokain Empire and threatened them." Roy asked now showing no hint of fear. Threaten? Did we threaten anyone? "We just told them to stop the pointless wars." I answered. Questions about where we were from were next and lasted till morning. "Normal humans can use what you called magic?" The general asked. I told them about the schools for magic and combat. Application of magic in daily use such as farming and blacksmithing. "This is a weapon I made using magic." I said as I had Jenga turn into Chakrams. "How do you even use this?" The general asked. I made a stone target a few distance away and threw the Chakrams and then returned back to me in an elliptical path. The stone target was sliced and was falling down. "Can I try it?" The Prince asked in an excited manner. "I don't think it will respond to you. However, try it as a sword." I said as Jenga turned into a great sword. "Wow, it is so light yet so big." The prince exclaimed. I formed some few stone targets for them to swing at. The prince was hesitant. "What if I dent your sword?" The Prince asked. I assured him that only god's could accomplish such a task. I mean it was true, FC and The Hydra were the only two beings who could achieve that. The prince swung at the targets and was shocked how easy it was to cut them. He then passed on the sword to the general who tried it. "Is it possible to buy such weapons?" The general asked.
