Chapter 11 - A Dangerous Meeting

In Tokyo at Jack's home, his parents had fully worn all their best gear. It had been years since either of them had use of any of it, but from the looks of things, they had little choice in the matter.

Jack Sir, was personally wearing a large heavy set of enchanted Deap Sea Mithril Armor infused with Orichalchum. It had personally been forged in the forges of Poseidon by his best Cyclops Smiths.

The wife of Poseidon was the daughter of Oceanus, as such Oceanus had sway in the Olympian Court. He was one of the Titans allowed to remain free after the Titanomachy. For his Champion, he had wanted only the best and Poseidon had ordered the armor forged by his best smiths.

It had then been blessed by Oceanus and given to Jack, his greatest Champion in his youth. He had wanted to arm his Champion with a Trident, but the Holy Sword Clarent was more than a worthy armament.

As for Esmeralda, she wore a black feathered gown, with a staff made from the bones of a monster from Oz famed for its mastery of magic. All over her body, she wore enchanted gems enchanted by her and her former coven.

They amplified her devastating magics to incredible levels. Together, they were a deadly duo who were forced to come out of peaceful retirement. They were waiting for Jin, his mystery woman, and their son. It didn't take much waiting as they both felt two extremely powerful auras teleport outside the house.

Jack walked toward the door with the Holy Sword Clarent at his hip just in case. When he opened the door, instantly he smiled as he saw his best friend and sworn brother. Jin Tojou the War God, who despite his fierce reputation looked like an average Japanese man.

Average height, average build, and average face. One thing Jack always held over him. However, right now he instantly looked over at the woman with Jin. She was wearing a modest outfit, but the large pair of horns and her aura gave her away as a Devil.

The crimson hair, blood-red eyes, and an aura exceeding the Ultimate Rank. How could he not recognize her since he fought her before?

"Sapphire Gremory."

Sapphire smiled as she laid eyes on the legendary Hero Of The Deep Sea. Chosen of Oceanus, killer, and killer Ten Thousand Devils.

"A pleasure to see you again, Jack. Remember this."

She pulled back her collar to reveal a bad scar. Jack had wounded her with Clarent in their final battle. He hadn't got off uninjured as her gravity magics broke the bones in his arms to get that slash.

"I do."

He placed his hand on the handle of Clarent as he didn't trust her. Noticing that look Jin cleared his voice to try to keep things peaceful.

"Jack, this is my wife the mother of my son."

Hearing that made him glance at the small boy with them. Basara was hiding between his parents as things seemed tense. Finding out his uncle had been the one to wound his Mother made him feel uneasy. He had seen the injury before and it was bad.

The Holy Energy in Clarent had a devastating effect on healing injuries for Devils after all.

"Very well, come in. We have much to talk about. You have some explaining to do Jin."

Jin, Sapphire, and Basara walked inside where Esmeralda was waiting. When they entered Esmeralda locked in on Sapphire. Who wouldn't when the infamous Sapphire Gremory was in the house?

"I thought you dead."

Sapphire nodded as that was the point.

"The world did. I rather keep it that way for reasons you will forout. A pleasure."

Jack introduced her to Jin.

"My wife, Esmeralda."

It was Jin's turn to be surprised.

"The Witch Of Elemental Chaos. The most powerful witch of this era. Consider me impressed."

Esmeralda gave a wry smile as she had been essentially a dark mage in her youth.

"I would have been proud of that years ago, now all I feel is shame."

Jin smiled in a self-deprecating way. Esmeralda in her youth had killed many Heroes sent after her. Some of them are from his generation. She was an especially ruthless witch in her youth.

No one knew much of her back story. Only that no magic was off limits, no taboo unbroken, no ritual too far. in a sense Sapphire and Esmeralda were similar. Formerly ruthless fighters changed by Motherhood and love.

Esmeralda herself could trace her lineage to Queen Semiramis. Meaning she was a descendent of the Mother of Semiramis, the Syrian goddess Derketo. Her Ancestors at some time entered Oz where she was born and mastered magics considered too dangerous.

Jack smiled as it seemed he and Jin both broke the taboo of their Clans by their choice of wives.

"It appears we both married women considered elimination targets. Your son?"

Basara who was hiding between his parents perked up. Jin placed a hand on his shoulder before moving him forward.

"Yes, he is? This is Basara Tojou. Doesn't look like a Gremory does he? I can feel your daughter in your room, but not your son. He coming home soon?"

Jack shook his head as he didn't know.

"That I don't know. I was planning to wait for him to show up, but it ape-"

He, Esmeralda, Sapphire, and Jin all froze they felt four more people teleport outside. Two of them were at the peak of the Ultimate Class and the third was even stronger.

Alarmingly, they were Fallen Angels, but something odd happened everyone took notice of them. Basara who had been quiet the whole time grunted as his left arm was encased in a bright crimson glow.

The Boosted Gear came out by itself without Basara summoning it. The gem in the middle began to glow a bright green as the gear resonance with Jack's.

Basara himself was confused as this never happened before. Before he could ask what was going on, Ddraig spoke.

{I believe your son has arrived.}

Just as Ddraig spoke, the front door opened and inside walked Jack. When he did, all eyes went to his right hand where a large Black Gauntlet similar to the Boosted Gear was resonating.

The main gem on his gauntlet was glowing a dark purple as he, Azazel, Baraqiel, and Shemhazai walked inside.

Apophis instantly greeted Ddraig. She was surprised to see that someone other than Issei had that gear, but this was an Alternative Universe. As such, much like always she made her voice sound masculine to hide her true gender.

[What a surprise, Ddraig oh Ddraig. What surprises we see, eh my host?]

Jack had to agree with Apophis as from the look of his parents, they had kept lots from him. As for Ddraig he also could tell who it was even if the aura was a bit odd.

{Apophis. When did you get sealed into a Sacred Gear?}

[No clue.]

While the two Dragons conversed, Jack looked at Jin and Sapphire. He was also surprised as he had no clue who Basara was. Issei had an average face even as a teenager and looked mediocre. Basara while only five, looked quite different. While all the powerhouses were in a standoff he focused on the two adults.

Amara on his shoulder merely ignored the current situation. Licking her paws and cleaning her face.

"Well, isn't this a party?"

Jack Sir looked at the three Fallen Angels with his son. He focused on the first and most important with a scowl.

"Azazel, what are you doing with my son? No, what is Grigori doing with my child."

Azazel raised his hands.

"Talk to your son first alright."

Once his dad was locked on him Jack shrugged.

"I am a Grigori Agent, I should be asking why you are here meeting with a Devil. Or why you were keeping secrets from me."

When Jack Sir and Esmeralda they instantly felt lumps in their chests. Esmeralda herself sighed.

"It is a long story."

Jack nodded.

"A story I got time to hear, but where are my manners? I am Jack Owens the second. A pleasure."

Sapphire introduced herself.

"I was formerly Sapphire Gremory, now Sapphire Tojou. This is my husband, Jin Tojou, and our son Basara Tojou. We can visit your dad."

Jack nodded before turning to his parents.

"I have questions, but for now, you seem to already know each other. Regardless, I will be polite. This is my current mentor. Baraqiel. You know Azazel, and that is Shemhazai."

Jack Sir relaxed his hostility as it didn't seem his son was forced to join Grigori. He was far too relaxed for that, but how in the world did his son join Grigori? How long for that matter?

"Son, how did you even meet Azazel better yet how and why did you join Grigori? How long?"

Jack smirked.

"A week since I met Azazel, we met by chance. I asked to join Grigori since I wanted a backer in this world. Who better than Azazel the leading expert in Sacred Gears"

Now that things were calmer, Azazel sighed in relief.

"He isn't wrong as I barely met him a week ago. This whole time I have offered to teach him how to better Master his Sacred Gear since it is a new Longinus. I came here once we found out who his Father was to not cause a misunderstanding.

However, it seems that we came at an interesting time. Sapphire Gremory and Jin Tojou married. Consider me surprised that you have a child with the Boosted Gear. What an impressive couple you two are.

Sapphire had never wanted more people to find out she was still alive. Much less Azazel, but the secret was out now. It was a good thing that she didn't have much of a bad opinion of Azazel.

Azazel and Wilbert back in the day were even on speaking terms since they both sought peace. More importantly, as Sapphire looked at Jack just as he knew she was a Devil, she knew he was a Fallen Angel.

"Stuff happened, but why is the kid a Fallen Angel? A strong one at that too."

Jack and Esmeralda locked their son who smiled. From his back emerged three pairs of Fallen Angel wings. When they saw those wings they didn't know how to feel. Had they failed so much that he threw his humanity away?

"Before you say anything, I did this to myself. I needed power and being a Fallen Angel removed my human limitations. Without the obvious downsides of being a Devil. Now, I suggest we all sit. This meeting could be interesting."

Jack Sir nodded.

"Very well. Everyone, let's do as my son said."

Sapphire, Jin, Azazel, Baraqiel, Shemhazai, Esmeralda, and he all felt that was fair. Jack himself waved his hand and he he changed the shape of the table into a round one.

Several chairs emerged from the ground on three corners. Everyone sat down, but it made Esmeralda and Jack Sir feel miffed their son was choosing to sit away from them.

Once all were seated, Jack placed his right hand with the Abyssal Eclipse Gear on the table.

"Right then, let's get this talk and greet going. Dad, Mom, what is wrong with me? For all the stories I hear, how powerful you two are, why do I have nothing from you? Sure, I am talented, but that is more from hard work than any natural talent. Was I just a dud or what?"

Esmeralda smiled and shook her head.

"When you were born, I merely used magic to isolate your natural inheritance deep in your soul. I made that magic just for you, and it is still there to this day. The thing is, it is advanced magic so I am sure you just hadn't drawn it out yet."

He sighed in relife.

"Thank the Almighty you didn't just remove it from me."

Esmeralda shook her head as that would have been beyond cruel.

"I would never have done that to you. We did want you to live a normal life away from the battlefield, but once I get a chance, I will unseal what is rightfully yours. Your genetic, and magical inheritance."

"Thanks, Mom, you had me worried there for a second. I thought I was a cripple before all this stuff. Though I do have a question for you, Sapphire?"

"What is it?"

He smiled as he glanced at Jin.

"Is it true what they say about the Japanese?"

Jin started having a coughing fit as he just went out and said it. Sapphire smirked as she answered with no shame.

"Not all of them, Jin here is quite well endowed."

Jin instantly put an end to the conversation about his manhood.

"Can we not talk about this in front of Basara?"

Sapphire smiled as if that was funny.

"My bad, it was an honest question. On a more important note, how did you turn yourself into a Fallen Angel? Last I knew, Grigori had no method to turn others into Fallen?"

Azazel nodded.

"We don't since I haven't needed to make one. Fallen Angels have far better fertility than humans so we are less pressed for numbers. As for Jack here, he killed a stray Fallen Angel and fed him to his Sacred Gear.

Through that, he plundered his power for himself and turned himself into one. When he joined Grigori, he asked for a bit of incentive to let me study his Sacred Gear."

Esmeralda nodded.

"Smart, son what did you receive?"

"A second Sacred Gear and a blood transfusion of Azazel's Seraph blood. Worth it in my opinion."

Jack Sir hummed.

"How?"

Azazel smiled.

"Trade secret sadly, but more importantly this is a good time to say this. My long-term goal is peace between the three Biblical Factions and the Hero Clans. You two, Jin and Jack are the best of your respective clans and most likely hold sway there.

Of course, there is still the Vatican and the Chinese branch, but if we can start peace talks we can end the Cold War of the Great War. Sapphire, you hold sway in the Underworld? Why don't you take the place of Wilbert?"

Sapphire thought about it as she knew the state of her family wasn't great with her and Wilbert's secret step back. Wilbert wasn't dead, merely changed his identity. She had left because of the birth of her son, but she could do more.

"I stepped back for good reason. Just because we are all strong, doesn't mean we can just stop a millennia-long war."

Azazel looked at Basara and Jack next to him.

"We can't, maybe they can. The next generation is going to be legendary fighters. The bridge between your factions. A Half Devil Half Human with the Boosted Gear of the strongest Hero and one of the strongest Devils.

And a human-turned Fallen Angel with a new Longinus. The Longinus break the balance of the world and in a few years, they will be the ones to make the calls. All we can do is help them make it happen.

I mean, between the seven of us, who says we can't at least make the process easier."

That was true, as between two Cadres, A Seraph, two legendary human heroes, a dangerous Witch, and a Devil with advanced gravitational magics, they could cause large changes to the world.

After thinking about it, Jack Sir made a choice.

"Azazel, I will put my faith in you. Son, once we return your true inheritance, I will train you myself. Your Mother will mentor you on magic. Azazel and Baraqiel can mentor you in your Sacred Gear and combat as a Fallen Angel.

Though, any interest in swords?"

Jack shrugged.

"I can take it or leave it. I can create Swords and they can be useful, but I mostly use my fists, spells, or my legs."

Jin thought about it as he thought back to one particular sword.

"Ever heard of Brynhildr?"

Both Jack's Father and Son glanced at Jin for different reasons.

"Jin, you are saying you want to give my son that blade?"

As for Jack, he was intrigued.

"Oh, tell me more."

Jin smiled as he began to retail the tell of the Holy Cursed Sword Brynhildr. He had tried to use the sword, but it had rejected him. Maybe Jack here could use it, if not him than his son Basara. Someone had to use the sword as it was just collecting dust right now.
