Chapter 13 - Rising Issues.

The talks between the gathered Power Houses went on for several more hours as everyone agreed to cooperate together for a better future. Jin gave his word that he would set up a time for Jack to try to claim Brynhildr.

While the talks were going on, Jack made sure to try to stabilize his condition. His sealed power had been building up in force ever since Jack began to rapidly grow stronger.

The flood of power that entered his being had left him reeling despite that he did get stronger. Now, he had access to Mana which was infused with Draconic Energy, Ki(Touki), and Divine Energy. The Divine Energy he did have access to was quite weak as his Mother for all her power could most likely not match Semiramis herself.

The Queen of Assyria was not just a true Demigod, but the time when she ruled was when Magic and Gods more widely walked the world. Apophis called that time, The Age Of Gods because unlike the modern day, where the Supernatural is kept out of the sight of Mortals.

Back then, gods and other Supernatural entities roamed freely. He did wonder what it was like back then, but he couldn't ponder on that thought as he did have to make sure his internal energies didn't just implode.

When everyone left, he felt he had made good progress on stabilizing his condition. He could only just rest now to make sure no issues arose from this event. However, when Jin, Sapphire, Basara, Azazel, Baraqiel, and Shemhazai left, things got awkward.

His parents were dead quiet as they didn't know what to say. Jack broke the silence with a simple sigh.

"Not to be unthankful for the good life I have had, but what you two did was beyond wrong. If not for me almost dying, I would still just be some common weakling. Sealing away everything special about me was beyond selfish. What is the point of a quote on quote normal life when it is meaningless."

Esmeralda looked down as she didn't want to make an excuse.

"It was wrong of us. I will admit that, but we just wanted you and your sister away from the battlefield. We just felt that someone so young shouldn't need to worry about battle."

He nodded as any parent should want their children to be safe, but the problem was they were not normal. Even if they had sealed their powers away and his own, they were still Supernatural beings. You didn't just leave that behind.

"That is a good thought to have, but you didn't ask. I should have been the one to decide if I wanted to live a mundane life or a life in the real world. I feel far, far happier now than I ever did before. I feel whole."

His Father sat down as he didn't look down. He looked his son in the eyes as he accepted his son's judgment.

"It was selfish of us I will admit to take the choice away from you. Since we wanted you to not be dragged into the Supernatural for your safety, we sealed ourselves and you. If you never found out about the Supernatural you would have lived a life like a normal human.

But it appears that life doesn't work like that. Once you are in the Supernatural there is no getting out. It didn't work for us, and it was wishful thinking for it to work for you. Jack, I am sorry."

Jack smirked.

"Apology accepted, if I am honest I would have unlocked it eventually. Better now than never, but I do have one thing to say."

From the look of it, Jack Sir and Esmeralda were wondering what he had to say. His Mother sat next to her husband.

"What is it?"

"If you did seal my sister, unseal her. Give her the choice to grow how she wants. As for me, well it is all water under the bridge. Let's build a better chapter in our lives now that our secrets are out. One with honesty and no lies. Can we agree to that?"

Esmeralda nodded.

"We can, no more lies. We shouldn't keep secrets anymore for the unity of our family."

Jack Sir also agreed.

"You have our word, son."

"Good."

Amara meowed from his shoulder where she had yet to move from. With his large Maine Coon drawing attention to herself, he stood up from the table. The first thing did was measure himself with magic as he needed to know how much bigger he got.

Luckily, he only went from 5'10 to 6 foot tall. For his genetics, it wasn't anything over the norm as he would at the minimum be as tall as his Father. Yet he didn't stick around as he walked away from his parents still kind of annoyed at them.

He may have forgiven them, but he was still annoyed.

As he was walking away, his Mother stood up to follow him.

"Jack. You should let me heal you to make sure you are ok."

He stopped at the base of the stairs before looking at his mother.

"While I forgive you, I want to be alone right now. We can do that tomorrow."

She froze as he walked up the stairs before locking himself in his room. When he was gone, Esmeralda looked down as he had good reason to be mad at her. She had been the one to seal his powers away and if not for his Sacred Gear awakening, he would have died two years ago.

Jack Sir noticed how she was down and he got up to console her.

"Honey, y-"

She cut him off by holding her hand out to him.

"This is my fault. I made that magic, I used it on him. Of course, he is bitter. We need to do better than this. We were beyond selfish. We did it to him and we were going to do it to Jannet."

He nodded.

"Let's unseal her as well, but steadily and not at once."

That was for the best as it had almost gone wrong for Jack.

---

As for Jack, once he got to his room he fell to his knees and threw up blood. His forceful evolution and awakening of his powers had messed him up internally. Amara jumped off his shoulder and came up to his face.

"Meow."

She was checking in on him so he wiped his bloody mouth.

"I will live."

[Your parents were quite foolish to seal you away. Though, I am more curious how I never found that. Even for one as powerful as me, even I don't know everything about the soul. The Sacred Gear is bound to the soul, but not as deep as the soul goes. You learn something new every day.]

"Sure."

He picked himself off the floor and he carefully sent a small ball of fire to incinerate his spilled blood. Amara walked away before jumping into her cat tree. As for him, he removed his shoes before kicking off his pants. He took off his shirt replacing his pants with a pair of shorts.

He stayed shirtless and he fell limp onto his bed with a sigh.

"I feel like shit."

[I can see why.]

He turned over and he summoned the Abyssal Eclipse Gear. He placed a hand on the black gem that contained the soul of Apophis. The very same gem that used to belong to Issei Hyoudou's Diabolos Dragon God Armor.

Even now the memory of that powerful form of the Boosted Gear alternative Issei could use was a core memory of other Jack. He was jealous until Apophis was sealed into one of the gems of that armor and used to upgrade his Twice Critical.

"How do you feel Apophis?"

[How do I feel? Exhausted, when the flood work of power happened it felt like an ocean of power ran through your soul. Guess what is also connected to your soul? Your Sacred Gears, it is a good thing everything worked out for the best.

You have a stronger body, and your Divine Blood is activated, all that Hero Power nurtured your soul and spirit, and your bloodline mutated. Once you recover you will be stronger than ever and by extension me. The most important lady in your life.]

"More like the only Lady in my life, Apophis."

[What about the Aya girl?"]

"Aya is ten, still a brat. You, on the other hand, are old."

[Well I am offended. Now more pretty form for you, ever again.]

"Don't do that to me, I am hurt enough as it is."

[Sure you are, maybe I can forgive you if you do one thing for me.]

"And what is that?"

[Simply put, admit you like my human form. Do you like it?]

He stayed quite a few moments, as he wasn't some casanova. Other Jack had a few girlfriends, including a few Devil girls and Fallen Girls, but he on the other hand was just a ten-year-old kid about to turn 11.

"I think you are pretty."

[Good, you are forgiven. Good night.]

'Night.'

Without even bothering to dematerialize his Sacred Gear he fell limp as he fell dead asleep. As he slept, Amara jumped onto the bed before walking over to his right hand. Where the Abyssal Eclipse Gear materialized.

She sniffed the gauntlet before she swiped at the gem a few times.

[Can you stop that?]

Amara hissed before she walked over and curled up on Jack's chest. For a Maine Coon, that was a lot of weight moving, but Jack was too tired to notice.

[Sheesh, even the cat is jealous. I am almost sure he will have more ladies than the other Jack. Wonder what that idiot would think if he knew I was female? Probably for the best he never found out. He'd say something like a Dragon Is Fine Too. Damn retard.]

She sighed and curled herself up inside the Eclipse Gear in Jack's soundscape. Throughout the night as Jack slept, his Spirit, Soul, Body, and Bloodline all recovered and settled into place following his massive increase in strength.

He ended up sleeping far longer than normal as it had been night when he fell asleep. Since it was still night outside, it meant had either slept for 24 hours or damn near close to it. He sat up feeling a bit better than before as sleeping was the best for recovery.

Amara who had not left his side perked up and jumped off his chest as he sat up.

"Apophis, how long did I sleep?]

[An entire day. Your parents came in here a few hours ago and they healed you. Your Father used powerful healing magic through his Hero Powers and your Mother used Sorcery to heal you. It did make you sleep better and it sped up the time you would have taken to adapt.]

He stood up from his bed as he felt better, by a lot. He raised his hand and he began to circulate his internal energy which was a mix of Mana, Ki, and Divine Energy. Of course, his Mana was mixed with Light Magic from his Fallen Angel heritage and Dragon Aura from his Draconic Powers.

The Divine Energy was the weakest of them all as 2,800 years was a long time. Even for a witch like his mother, turning almost three millennia of genetic drift back was difficult. It was better than nothing at least so he began to get dressed.

Once he was dressed, Amara lept onto his shoulder as he left his room. When he came down, he saw that his Mother was sitting on the couch alone. When she saw him she smiled.

"How do you feel?"

"Better, thanks to you."

Then again, it was her that caused his trouble, but he may have benefited more from it than anything. When he sat down, she began to fiddle with his hair.

"Do you need me to fix your hair?"

"Please do."

He turned around and she began to comb out his hair which now reached his shoulders. Through magic, she cut back his hair into a perfect length. She cut the sides to a perfect high fade and trimmed just a little on top With his hair fixed he could now address the elephant in the room.

He needed to talk with his Mother.
