The next few weeks turned into prank wars with me and Noah, I put a lot more work into my pranks though.It was only payback for that night though, things were amazing at collage but balancing a part time job with collage and my assassin job was getting to be a bit much.Me and Lizzy weren't that close as friends or roommates, so it wasn't a problem to leave the dorms and go to my real job. Tonight I was supposed to work with Liam, it'd be our first mission together for awhile.As we got our orders we headed out to completed our mission, Todays mission was almost like a massacre. Which is most of the mission, then we have to find a micro chip then burn the building to the ground. Simple enough right?As me and Liam arrived at a large office building in the woods which was so out of place to began with, we snuck inside and split up. I was going to kill everyone on the higher floors and Liam would kill everyone on the lower floors. Luckily I sorta blended in since I was wearing a black dress like half the other women here, I walked into the top floor.The lights dimly lit the highest floor, I walked out away from the elevator. I slowly walked around the room as everyone seemed to be hard at work on something, I quickly unsheathed my katana and started to slice. Whoosh, woosh, woosh. Slice, slice, slice.Everything was so clean as I sliced through my opponents, I loved the way everyone tried to run to no avail. Their screams were in vain, their blood flowing across the floor. So pretty, the scarlet color dying the walls. Red was everywhere even on me, so beautiful. "More! More! More!" I was going crazy at the sight of blood I couldn't hold it in any longer!
I was down to the last person on the top floor, I had cornered them. They were shaking as I held my katana to their neck. "Where's the micro chip?" I asked as the person I had cornered simply smiled. "You'll kill me either way, there's no use in telling you." I smirked. "You're absolutely right!" With that I chopped his head off, it was time to move down a floor.
I took the stairs this time instead, I was already covered in blood so there was no use in trying to hide anymore. I made it to the next floor down and when everyone saw me great commotion commenced, but on this floor there were guards. "Well, well, well looks like I hit the jackpot!" I said as I licked some blood off my hands.Why would someone have guards if they weren't protecting something after all? The guards came towards me in a attempt to kill me but luckily I have quick reflex's, I made it out of the way. I was literally dodging bullets right now, I started to run closer to my targets. I got one of the guards, it felt like adrenaline was surging through my veins. The sudden rush of adrenaline was empowering me to do more, I took out the second guard and turned towards the workers.Half of them had scattered or ran down the stairs, I could hear shots firing on the lower floors as I found my target. I dashed towards a group of people in a corner, they were crying and pleading but were cut off by my blade. I turned around and looked around the room, either everyone was hiding or they fled to another floor. Non the less I needed to find and kill them all, I searched around the room until I found someone.There was no one else on the floor, this was the last one, she were shaking. I thought I might take my time chopping this one up, tears streaming down their face made it irresistible to kill them. I knelt down beside them and wiped the tears off their face. "Now now don't cry, I'll make it quick. But you have choices, either you tell me where the micro chip is and I make this quick or you don't tell me and I chop you up. Limb from limb, what do you choose?"The woman gritted her teeth and opened her mouth. "I'll show you where it is, and then you can kill me." I nodded as she stood up and led me to the top floor, she took a painting off the wall and revealed a safe. She then entered a code and took out a box, she handed the box to me and I opened it to see the micro chip we had been looking for. I looked up at her and smiled. "You were actually helpful! Thanks, I'll remember you. How about we take a selfie before I kill you?"The woman smiled too and nodded, I pulled out my phone and we took a selfie. Too bad I can't keep her around a bit longer, I raised my katana and chopped her head off as quickly as I could. I went down a few floors until I found more people and finished the killing, I met up with Liam after things were taken care of.We made our way outside with the micro chip and Liam put some leaf's and sticks inside the warehouse then he lit a match and caught the leaf's on fire, the fire spread into the stick then to the warehouse. As we walked away the warehouse was burning to the ground, me and Liam stopped for a moment to watch it burn. The sight was pretty, even from a distance I felt the heat on my face. It crumbled and fell, the fire was spreading to the higher floors quickly. Luckily the warehouse was in a clearing in the woods so there wasn't going to be a forest fire luckily.Me and Liam left the scene and went our separate ways, when I got back to my collage I found my duffle bag that I left in the outside bushes and made sure no one was around before I changed and got cleaned up. I put my dirty stuff in the bag and walked my way inside but before I could make it inside I spotted Noah outside, he was surrounded by a group of guys. It looked like they were taking a smoke, I pulled my hoodie over my head hopping I wouldn't be noticed but of course Noah had to call out to me."Yo Ash! Wanna join us?" I turned over towards them and not only was Noah looking at me but so was everyone else. "No thanks." I said smiling, I just wanted to get out of here quickly. But it seemed that Noah had other plans, Noah walked out towards me instead of just letting me go. "You sure? Its fun, how about you try one?" He said holding out a cigarette. "No really I'm good, I should be going to bed though its late. How about I see you tomorrow?"
Noah sighed and walked away from me. "See you tomorrow then." He said as he started talking to his friends again, this time in a more hushed tone. I walked inside and went to my dorm, as I opened the door I was hit in the face with a pillow immediately after walking in.I pulled the pillow off my face and looked over to Lizzy's side of the room, seemed like she had a boy over tonight. "Why are you back so early?!" Lizzy yelled at me across the room. "I ran out of things to do, Don't worry I wont pay attention to you guys." I said as I went into the bathroom, I started to clean up my blood stained clothes and clean my katana. Although the sounds coming from outside the bathroom door were irritating, I got ready for bed and left the bathroom. I laid down on my bed and set my alarm before heading to sleep.The next morning I woke up to my alarm and got ready for the day, I put on one of my favorite skirts with black tights and a black shirt which I tucked in. I the put my hair up and put my shoes on, all ready to go. I grabbed my homework and headed out to my first class, when I got to the class I saw Noah talking to some of the same buddies from last night.Noah smiled and waved me over to him, when I walked over he introduced me to his friends. One of them being Max which I had swapped rooms with prior to now. "Ash, meet Max, Cole and Matthew. Max, Cole and Matthew meet Ashley." Everyone said hi to me and I said hi to them, as our greetings to each other were exchanged class was starting and everyone rushed to their seats.Around 2:00 pm all my classes had ended and I was on my way to go get something for lunch when I bumped into Noah. "Hiya Ash! Wanna go eat with me and my friends?" Its not like I had any other plans or friends. "Sure, why not!" I followed Noah and his buddies to a diner, it wasn't too far away from the collage campus.We got seated and started talking about our interests, after we ordered and the conversation died down some I felt my phone buzz. I took it out of my pocket to see a text from Liam.Hey Ash ^-^
Wanna get lunch? I'm close to your collage right now.
After I read his text's I sent a reply
Hey Liam :>I'm already out getting lunch with some friends, maybe another time?
Liam reacted with a thumbs up and when I put my phone down everyone was looking at me. "Is there something wrong?" I asked as Max who was sitting beside me spoke up. "What were you doing on your phone?" He asked looking at me like how everyone else was. "Just texting my boyfriend, why?"
"No reason." After that our food came out and we started eating, the food at this place was actually quite good for a small diner. We were leaving the diner when I saw someone who looked familiar across the street, was that....?!It was a boy that I knew from my time in high school, although I didn't go to a normal high school. It was a place where kids who were kidnapped would go, someone who went and got a teacher degree started it up. Thats the only way I managed to get a high school diploma, but everyone there was kidnapped. Thats the thing, if I walked up to him while I was out with friends it might revel my past. That much could possibly ruin the front I've been putting up. Hah, screw it, now or never. "I'll be right back, give me a second." I said to everyone I was with as I hurried my way across the street looking both ways as I walked, I stopped in front of the guy and he stopped walking and looked at me. "Well, if it isn't Ashley." He said with a gentle smile, now that I looked at him closer. He was one of my really close friends. "I'm sorry, I can't seem to remember your name." I couldn't remember his name at all, its like my mind went blank. And I felt bad since he remembered mine. "Thats fine, no worries. Its Blake, well how have you been since well high school." How did I even forget his name, it seems so obvious now! "I've been good, I've been living a good life since then. How about you?" Blake thought it out for a second before giving me a reply."Life's fine I suppose, could be better. Overall though, I'm just happy to be alive." His words felt like a guttural punch, he was right.
