The next morning I woke up and got dressed before heading down to get breakfast with the rest of my family, just that thought alone was crazy to process with everything else going on currently. When I got downstairs I saw everyone in the kitchen, Sebastian said good morning to me as I walked in.We all sat down at the table as mom served us breakfast, I loved being around family. Best feeling ever! After we ate I got a text from Liam saying that he was on the way, I hadn't told anyone he was coming but I figured it'd be fine considering Sebastian brought his girlfriend unannounced and she's staying in a hotel right now.I talked to my dad a bit more to see what had happened in my absence, so much had happened and I was just starting to scratch the surface. "What happened to you after you got away from the kidnappers?" Honestly that question was better then asking what happened while I was with them."Well I started working as a barista, I made a few friends along that line then I went to collage not to long ago to study art and become an artist." As I finished speaking my dad responded with. "I'm glad to see that you've made a fine life for yourself even with what happened, even made it back home to see us!" After that conversation we all went out for a family trip to check out some stores and stuff, we went out and ate lunch together. I went to use the restroom and checked my phone, Liam had sent me a text saying he was checking in at the hotel and to know where I'd like to meet up with him. I sent him the address to my parents house and asked him to meet me there in an hour, I went back out to my family in the restaurant and finished eating.When we headed back it was almost time for Liam to come by and meet up with me, as everyone went inside I said I wanted some fresh air first before I came in. Awhile later Liam's car pulled into the driveway, he parked and came out to meet me. He gave me a hug and we walked into the house together. "Whos that with you?" My mom asked as I walked in holding hands with Liam."This is my boyfriend, Liam." My dad walked in as the word 'boyfriend' left my mouth. "You never said you had a boyfriend, and why's he here?" My dad asked as he walked to where we were. "I asked him to come by and meet you guys, I figured it'd be fine since Sebastian brought his girlfriend." My dad looked Liam up and down before speaking. "Can I have a word with you?" He asked and Liam nodded then they walked off together, oh boy.I was awfully nosey and followed them, they walked into a room and I listened through the door. "How long have you and my daughter been dating for?" I heard Liam take a deep breath before answering. "Bout a year sir." Liam replied as I leaned against the door waiting for more words to be spoken. "And do you treat her right?" My dad asked, was this like some sort of accepting him into the family thing?"Yes sir." Before I could continue listening my mom called for me and I hurried to find her, she was sitting in the living room. "Could you go and get dinner ready, I'm not feeling so well right now." She asked as I entered the room. "Of course! Do you need anything?" She shook her head and I went into the kitchen.It looked like dinner was starting to be made but my mom didn't feel good so she couldn't finish it, I found I recipe in the kitchen for curry next to everything. I picked it up and finished what my mom had started, as I started to dish everything Liam swung in around the corner. "Hey." He said with a goofy smile."Need some help?" He asked as he walked into the kitchen. "You can get the silverware." He look around the kitchen and opened random drawers until he found them, Liam seemed rather chipper right now."What's got you so happy?" I asked looking over at Liam. "You'll see soon." He said winking at me, I was so confused! I set dinner out on the table and my parents let Liam stay for dinner, we all sat down and ate dinner. When I went into the kitchen to wash dishes Liam followed me."Can I help?" He asked as we carried in the rest of the dishes for me. "Sure, you can dry the dishes." I said handing him a towel, we washed dishes together and enjoyed some together time after a good while.We finished the dishes and put them up, me and Liam walked up the stairs together and I showed him my room. As I sat down on the bed I saw Liam reach into his pocket for something, before I had the time to process Liam got down on one knee and lifted up a box with a engagement ring in it. I literally just froze, as Liam looked up at me. "Will you marry m-" Before he could finish asking I just blurted out "YES!" Liam smiled and took the ring out of the box and held my hand as he slid it on my ring finger, I knew I was turning red right now.Liam stood up and hugged me, then sat on the bed beside me. "I got permission from your dad earlier to propose, with the full blessing too." Liam said smiling that stupid little goofy smile of his, it made me want to kiss him but I didn't wanna get caught in anything by my parents.Buuuuuuuut, why not. I looked over towards Liam and grabbed his face, and pulled him before kissing him. He kinda just went with it and we ended up making out, when I broke away from the kiss Liam was absolutely flustered. He quickly looked away from me and tried to hide his face, he's seriously changed a lot since we first met. He was so cute right now, his face was red from being flustered but my brain had already started to imagine him covered in blood. Dripping down his face onto his lap, the pretty red touch to his face. I grabbed my pocket knife without thinking and slowly raised it to Liam, my brain had shut down, my body was moving its own.Liam looked at me just in time to grab my arm and shove me back gently. "C'mon Ash, seriously?" he said as he held me back, snapping me out of it. I dropped my knife on the floor, I curled up and started breaking down. What the hell is wrong with me?! He's going to break up with me when we just got engaged, I'm so done for.As my thoughts ran 1,000 miles per minute I felt Liam wrap his arms around me. "Its okay, everything will be alright." His words felt like a strong reassurance to me, I was so scared but yet I wasn't. I just can't explain my feelings anymore, everything just happened too fast.... I can't think, I just- I....As my tears continued to stream down my face Liam held onto me tighter as he started to sing to me. "It is time to go to sleep, it is time to rest your head. It is time to lay your head down and go to sleep." He kept repeating the same lullaby, his tone soft and loving the whole time. Almost like a father rocking a baby to sleep, I slowly faded in and out of sleep. I was so tired my eyes just shut on their own, I've had insomnia for a good while recently. Sleeping had been hard if not impossible but right now it was coming so easy to me.I fell asleep in his arms and some point he tucked me into bed and left to go to his hotel. In the morning I called Liam and apologized about everything and thanked him for singing to me and cuddling me until I slept. He said everything was good and that I had no need to apolize or thank him, he was only doing what a good fiancée would do.He assured me it was no big deal, I wasn't completely sold on that but I loved him too much to keep questioning and apologizing after he said not to worry. I went down for breakfast and ate with my family then I wen to go shower and get ready for the day, I brushed out my hair and dried it with a towel before pulling it back into a ponytail. I left the bathroom and headed out into the living room when for the first time Sebastian noticed my ring."Wait a minute... Did Liam propose to you?" He asked staring at my hand. "Yup!" Sebastian nearly choked on the air. "When?!" He said walking out towards me a little. "Last night after dinner." He accepted to facts and with a small nod he walked away. I walked outside the house and saw someone pretty damn familiar on the other side of the street, you have got to be kidding me?! Is that Blake!? What the hell!?I walked out across the street and smacked him across the face. "Your seriously following me now you stalker!" He recovered quickly and looked back up at me clearly restraining himself. "I'm not stalking you!" I looked at him and he let out a big sigh. "My family lives in this town too! Or at least used to, I was trying to find them. But you keep on accusing me of stalking you, like seriously." "You have family around here?" He nodded. "So if you don't mind I need to get back to finding them." With that he walked off not looking back at me at all, I walked back to the house and went inside.
