For hours, Lucy has been crying nonstop in the small cell they placed her in. Right after Roselyn left, she felt nothing but pure blood boiling rage running through her veins. Throwing the table and chairs on each side of the room in her anger, she was dragged to the cell they put her in the day she came here.
She was confused like never before, Lucy didn't know what she could do to let everyone know that she was innocent. Every evidence pointed to her, everything the police found showed that she was the murderer.
A sigh of frustration escaped her lips as she laid on the stiff bed, it was lumpy and very uncomfortable. Oh what have she gotten herself into, Lucy thought to herself. She didn't have any form of evidence to prove she was innocent. She was doomed.
Her enemies set a trap for her and she fell, face first. More tears streamed down her face as she rubbed her tummy, she would have never imagined that she'd have to give birth to her first child in prison. Slowly she was starting to accept that this was her fate, but before she could think any further a guard came into the room again. " Mrs Rodman, you've got a visitor." The guard said. " A visitor? Who is it?." Lucy asked. She hoped with all her soul that it wasn't Dennis, or else she'd actually commit a crime and she'd gladly go to prison for it.
The guard didn't answer her, he put her in cuffs before dragging her out of her cell. Walking down the hall of the police station with chains binding her hands together, she'd never thought she'd see the day.
Finally reaching the room she was supposed to go into, the guard walked past it and walked further ahead. Lucy was confused. " Wasn't that the visitors area?."
" The person who came to see you came for business." the guard answered. Lucy was even more confused now, she wasn't a working woman. She was a full day housewife, she only helped her husband a little when he needed it, who could have possibly come to meet her in jail for business?
Reaching another room at the far end of the hall, the guard unlocked her cuffs before pushing her in then he closed the door in her face. Lucy turned rubbing her wrists together whining as it stung her a little. Seeing a man sitting on a chair in front of her, he didn't look familiar.
" Excuse me, I heard that you wanted to see me?" Lucy asked, the man sitting on the chair stood up before turning towards her. His wide muscular frame made Lucy's jaw drop, she had to remind herself that she was a married woman. For now at least.
" I'm delighted that you agreed to see me. I was expecting you at least an hour from now." The man smirked, his hands now in his jean pockets. To say the least, he was a fine man to look at. She stared at him from head to toe, inspecting him. " They told me you came here to talk about business? who are you" Lucy asked, eyeing him.
The man did nothing but laugh " I'd come here for business, mind taking a seat?" He offered. Lucy sighed in annoyance, she was already getting very irritated by this man. " I would rather stand, say what you came here to say and leave!."
" Feisty, okay then I like that. Anyway my name is Samuel, Samuel Meyer. CEO of Meyer's Tech, and I have come to you for a partnership of some sort." Samuel sighed. He could use what happened to Lucy for his own benefits, in fact they could both benefit from this.
" And your partnership? what makes you think that I'd be interested in working with you, I don't even know you." Lucy said, rolling her eyes. " You want revenge on your husband, I heard what he did to you. The whole city already knows, it's been all over the news. You certainly don't want him to go unpunished."
" My husband isn't in his right senses, he is being played, manipulated and wronged. In Fact we're both being wronged here. He just needs to realize the trap being set up and I'll be out of here before I can even blink." Lucy hissed. " And how long exactly do you think it'll take for your husband to 'realize' this so called trap being set out for him, maybe he'll be in his senses when you're already going on ten years in prison for a crime you didn't commit. How long exactly are you willing to wait for that idiotic husband of yours to come to his senses! I know that family like the back of my hand, they are nothing but racoons, they take things from people right under their noses. They'll rob you blind of your freedom, stop being wrapped up in their lies and open your eyes god damnit!" Samuel yelled, Lucy was not as easy as he thought she'd be. She's being toyed with and she doesn't even realize it yet, or maybe she does but doesn't want to accept it.
" These people you call racoons are my family! I worked so hard to get the Rodman family name to where it is today, I'm not going to let you or anyone else bring them down or ruin our name. And as for Dennis? he'll come to his senses again when he realizes that he is being deceived he'll get me out of here." Lucy said, her face a light shade of red. She was fuming with anger, how dare this man come in here and insult her husband. Sure her husband wasn't doing anything sensible right now but once the spell Martha's has placed on him wears off her Dennis will realize his mistake of judgment, she was sure of it. And no Greek god sculptured man is going to make her think otherwise.
" These people you call your family don't even value you, once they saw that you were a liability they discarded you. I'm not going to lie, you're really lucky that Louisa, that wretched woman, is dead, but you're here singing her son's praises." Samuel hissed. " Your husband didn't believe anything you told him, and you're supposed to be his wife, his one and only."
Samuel sighed trying to calm himself down. " But what I know for sure is that you're not going to stand by that statement after a while, trust me" He laughed, he took a card out of his back pocket and placed it on the table. " You'll be needing me soon, I can at least assure you that."
" You should leave now Mr Meyer, I think you've overstayed your welcome." Lucy muttered. This man wasn't going to weaken her resolve.
" Trust me, you'll be needing me sooner than you expected. And when you realize your mistake, I'm just a call away." Samuel said before leaving the room. This Samuel of a man definitely left her thinking, but she still believed in the love she and her husband share. Before things get any worse he's going to realize his mistake, he'll get her out of this mess. And as for that Samuel of a man? she wasn't going to need his help. Lucy was determined to get through this, all by herself.
