Christmas and Bro Bro were Dalmatian-Pitbull mixes, born to a father named Old Man, who was also a Dalmatian-Pitbull mix, and a mother named Bella, a purebred Pitbull. They were part of a litter of three puppies, including an older brother named Midnight. The puppies were born on Christmas Eve at precisely midnight. The naming of Christmas was straightforward, given the festive timing of her birth. Initially, I struggled to find a name for the youngest puppy until the affectionate placeholder, "Bro Bro," became his permanent name due to frequent use. My sister decided to keep Christmas, while Midnight found a new home in the countryside. Although I developed a strong bond with Bro Bro, he eventually went to live with our friend, where his father Old Man resided. I visited Bro Bro daily, and he always greeted me with enthusiasm; consequently, I often referred to him as "my dog" due to our close connection. As Christmas matured, she exhibited a lively disposition and resided in a room that was converted from a garage. Tragically, Bro Bro's life was cut short at the age of one due to bird poison, leading to his untimely departure. Christmas remained with us for another year before she wandered off with our other dog, Shadow, who was her close companion. The bond I shared with both Christmas and Bro Bro was profound, and their absence was hard to endure.
