Chapter 20 - Hubble Bubble

Hubble Bubble was a purebred Beagle, and he was undoubtedly the most adorable Beagle one could ever lay eyes on. I vividly recall the day Rosa brought him into our home. As Rosa entered through the door cradling him in her arms, our mother initially exclaimed "No," yet within two minutes, the little one was comfortably nestled in her lap. I chose the name Hubble Bubble because we had desired another dog named Hubble, and he had a charming habit of creating bubbles with his mouth. One of my fondest memories of Hubble Bubble is an incident when Rosa was playfully chasing him. As they tumbled into the living room, I was seated on the floor. Without the slightest hesitation, Hubble Bubble approached me and deftly snatched a pork chop right off my plate. After indulging in his impromptu feast, he gazed at me with a seemingly innocent expression that conveyed, "I didn't do anything." Hubble Bubble was the first and only Beagle we had the pleasure of owning. He had a unique variety of tones in his bark. On one particular day while I was outdoors with the dogs, I was suddenly alerted by Hubble Bubble's distinctive danger bark. Concerned, I immediately scanned my surroundings to ascertain the cause of his alarm, only to discover that I was standing directly beneath a wasp nest. Being highly allergic to wasps and bees, I was immensely grateful to him. I called out to the neighbor, who kindly removed the nest. In that moment, I hugged Hubble Bubble tightly, genuinely believing he had spared me from a severe allergic reaction. Hubble Bubble was truly one of the finest dogs I have ever known. Tragically, he was still quite young when he passed away, and to this day, the cause of his death remains unknown. I frequently reminisce about him and continue to miss him dearly.
