Penn sat in silence, absent-mindedly fiddling with the lip of the coffee cup as he sat alone in the staff cafe inside the association. It was at the front of the building, with a direct view of the front doors and reception desk. Penn had spent the last few days here during his downtime between the Guide and Esper lectures.
The Guide had been alone since the training room incident. It seemed Daniel was under review for the events leading up to the day, and back to his job as head of reception and new-hunter welcoming program.
Nathan had also been sparse since that time. The association had assigned him to investigate the system sync message and the fact that the system training monsters materialized. Due to this, Penn hadn't received physical training since - a frustrating time for someone who gained new abilities with no training to understand them.
