Penn and Mark exited the dorm building, heading toward the visitor parking lot. The dorm resident took his time to show his previous superior officer the facilities. That included sharing the embarrassing story of mistaking the fish for minnows. The older man had a good chuckle at that. Though he was an avid fisher, his younger companion could never pick up the same attachment to it.
"I remember when you came to live with us during your middle school says," Mark stared off into the distance, sipping the coffee Penn had bought him from the cafe. The Guide glanced over at the redhead, watching him in silence. "That scrawny, pretty little kid with his shaggy hair - all quiet, and to himself. What were we to do with you? Tenny just dragged you home like he found a puppy in the rain."
