Chapter 28 : First Genaral
Arin and Tia led Kane to a room behind the auction hall, the Soul Stone in hand. "Ryker, as I said, you can take this," Arin said, his voice laced with reluctance.
Kane's eyes gleamed as he accepted the box containing the Soul Stone. He opened it, and as soon as he touched the stone, a notification echoed in his mind. "Gods' Fragment has been found. Do you want to absorb it?"
Without hesitation, Kane replied, "Yes."
The stone vanished, and a surge of power coursed through his veins. The system notified him, "This is a Rank 5 Soul Fragment. You have obtained the fragment of a Wind God, granting you the ability to fly. However, life essence consumption will be high."
Kane's gaze turned to Arin and Tia, a sly smile spreading across his face. He drew a sword and pierced Arin's shoulder, causing Tia to cry out in anguish. "Father... Bastard, what have you done to my father?"
With a cruel glint in his eye, Kane punched Tia in the stomach, saying, "General Conversion. Drink my blood, and I'll let you and your father live."
Tia's eyes widened in pain and anger as she looked at her father, then back at Kane. "What... what do you want me to do?"
Kane tore off his palm, revealing the Aura of the Demon King. Arin's eyes widened in horror as he realized too late what was happening. "No, Daughter, don't!"
But it was too late. Tia drank Kane's blood, sealing her fate.
Kane pulled the sword out of Arin's shoulder and cut his throat. Blood sprayed everywhere, like a fountain. Arin's head fell off and rolled on the floor, his eyes still angry and sad.
The room was covered in blood, and Tia screamed. Kane looked at the mess he made, his chest moving up and down. He felt powerful.
The system told him, "Your Cultivation is Dropping ."
Tia's skin ripped apart, showing her muscles. Then her muscles tore, like raw meat. New black muscles grew inside, squirming like worms. Blood sprayed everywhere, boiling and steaming like hot water.
Her muscles squeezed, crushing her bones to dust. Her skull burst open, brains spilling out like mush. New grey bones formed, stuck together with black muscles. Red wings grew from her back, feathered and beautiful, but stained with blood.
Her eyes popped out, rolling on the floor like balls. New red eyes formed, glowing bright, with vertical pupils like a cat. Her hair fell out in chunks, replaced by new grey hair that grew long and flowing. Her skin stretched tight, showing black muscles underneath, but smoothing into perfect, pale skin.
Her body twisted, like rubber stretching too far, but reformed into a perfect, statuesque shape. Her limbs elongated, like melted wax, but reformed into graceful, angelic limbs. Red wings unfolded from her back, massive and feathered, with a delicate membrane.
She stood tall, a fallen angel, with red wings and grey hair, her eyes glowing bright red. She was no longer human, but a being of dark beauty.
As I gazed at Tia, she addressed me with an unexpected title: "Your Majesty." Her face flushed, and I wondered what had triggered this sudden change in behavior. Just moments ago, she had been cursing me, but now she seemed shy and submissive.
"Do you remember what happened?" I asked, trying to make sense of the situation.
Tia's eyes dropped, and she whispered, "You killed my father... and me." But then she added, "Your Majesty, my father was a mortal, useless and weak. But you, Your Majesty, are all-powerful."
I was taken aback by her words and the sudden change in her demeanor. Her curly hair now lay straight, cascading down to the ground like a river of night. Her red wings, now spanned wide, and her pale skin seemed almost translucent. She stood naked, but I quickly opened the system store and purchased a black cloth for her.
"Take this," I said, tossing the cloth to her.
As she wrapped it around herself, I couldn't help but think about my own situation. My cultivation level had dropped to Rank 1 again, but I had gained something far more valuable - Tia, with her Rank 6 Stone that could infinitely produce mana.
A notification from the system flashed before me: "You have created a new Demon General named Tia. Power: Infinite Mana. Affinity: Water and Ice."
I couldn't help but smile at the unexpected turn of events. "Let's go to your home and retrieve the body," I told Tia.
She nodded, and with a gentle touch, she gathered the head and body of her father. Together, we flew to
wards the Crimson House, leaving the chaos behind us.
