Chapter 23: Fighting Rank 4
I stepped into the Arena once again, ready to continue my ascent. Fight after fight, I clashed with formidable opponents, my skills honed to perfection. And then, I reached level 78. I decided to stop there, content with my progress.
As I checked my gold, I couldn't help but smile. Forty-six thousand gold was more than enough for now. Hehehe, I thought to myself, feeling a sense of accomplishment.
But then, a System Notification caught my attention. "Host has Reached Level 150. Host has Received a Rank Increasing Pill." My eyes widened in surprise. It was a jackpot!
I also had the Ice Demon Pill, refined by the Blood of Lyra, but I decided not to use it yet. I would save it for when I really needed it. Instead, I consumed the Rank Increasing Pill.
At first, my body felt like it was boiling. The pain was intense, but I knew it was worth it. And then, a System Alert flashed before my eyes. "Your Rank is Increased with the pill, and you have become Rank 3 Peak Stage. Your Demon King blood is being suppressed, and your sudden increase is making the blood go berserk."
The pain returned, but it wasn't as bad as before. And then, it stopped. I let out a sigh of relief and fell asleep, exhausted.
The next day, I returned to the Arena.
Kane, fighting under the pseudonym Ryker, stepped into the Arena, his eyes fixed on Euro, the No. 1 fighter in the City. Euro sneered, his flames burning brighter with excitement.
The fight began, and Euro unleashed a wave of flames that engulfed Kane. Kane's skin burned and melted, his muscles torn and shredded.
Kane retaliated with a burst of speed, his Demon King's Blood allowing him to move faster than Euro could react. He struck Euro with a series of swift punches and kicks, each one landing with precision and power.
But Euro's flames were too strong, burning Kane's skin and searing his eyes. Kane stumbled back, his vision blurry from the flames.
Euro took advantage, striking Kane with a fiery punch that shattered his jaw and sent teeth flying everywhere. Kane's mouth was a bloody mess, his tongue torn and his lips shredded.
Kane stumbled back, his vision fading. But he refused to give up. He focused his energy, channeling his Life Essence into using Recovery Skill
And so the fight continued, the two warriors exchanging blows and neither gaining the upper hand. Their bodies were torn and broken, their muscles shredded and their bones shattered.
But still they fought on, their strength and determination driving them forward. Only one could emerge victorious...
