Zhang Zheng, though reluctant, eventually let Angel Yan and the other two stay. He could foresee that tough days were ahead for him.
"Good morning." Zhang Zheng greeted the three beautiful angels with dark circles under his eyes and an exhausted tone.
"Good morning," Angel Moyi replied.
"Morning," Angel Zhui said.
"Hey, kid, why do you look so worn out? Didn't sleep well last night?" Angel Yan teased. "Need me to keep you company tonight? Don't worry, I won't tell Zhixin."
"No need, I've just been having some insomnia lately. It'll pass in a few days," Zhang Zheng responded. Like hell would he let her keep him company.
Thinking back to last night, with those six long, fair legs of the three angels, Zhang Zheng was truly unnerved. They didn't treat him like a man at all, wearing such sexy sleepwear and parading in front of him. Those long white legs, almost exposed chests, and those beautiful faces—they were endlessly tempting to Zhang Zheng. Unfortunately, he knew he couldn't indulge.
So, unable to do anything but look, Zhang Zheng ended up losing sleep. Every time he closed his eyes, those holy, alluring images would flood his mind—it was unbearable.
"Kid, any plans for today?" Angel Yan asked, her eyes fixed on Zhang Zheng, as if to say, "No plans, right? No plans?"
What a tease.
Zhang Zheng looked at Angel Yan, feeling a huge pressure. He knew she was a seasoned flirt, but he didn't expect her to take it this far.
With some resignation, Zhang Zheng said, "Yan, could you mind your image a bit? You're an angel, you know—being too seductive isn't good."
"Besides, your future—Galaxy Power—is my comrade. Isn't this a bit inappropriate?"
"Tsk, tsk, tsk, you sure know a lot. Even know my future with Galaxy Power, huh?" Angel Yan was genuinely surprised this time.
At this stage, only she and Queen Kaisa knew about her future with Galaxy Power.
Impressed, Angel Yan added, "Not bad. You've already read my data. But don't you earthlings often say, 'Friends' wives, no courtesy?'"
"Damn it." Zhang Zheng was at a loss for words, not knowing how to communicate with Angel Yan anymore.
He only had one thought now: Ge Xiaolun, hurry up and come get your fairy!
But of course, that was just Zhang Zheng daydreaming. With Ge Xiaolun's state, it'd be a miracle if he didn't get completely drained by this fairy.
"Yan, didn't we agree to go shopping today? Stop teasing the god," Angel Zhui suddenly chimed in.
"Oh, right, almost forgot."
"Kid, learn to practice restraint, or you'll get bullied to death by angels." Angel Yan walked up to Zhang Zheng, lifted his chin with her fair fingers, and whispered softly, her breath like orchids.
Without waiting for a reply, she led the two angel beauties out, concealing their wings.
Watching the three angels leave, Zhang Zheng had only one thought: Screw restraint! I just found a wife—I'm never practicing restraint.
Ignoring the departing angels, Zhang Zheng decided to give Zhixin a little lesson in the great wisdom of China's 5,000-year-old culture: "Prevent fire, prevent theft, and prevent best friends."
After talking with Zhixin, Zhang Zheng returned to his room and began slowly absorbing Thanos' data. Thanks to the Infinity Gauntlet, the process was slow but going smoothly.
"At this rate, it'll take at least a year to fully absorb everything," Zhang Zheng calculated silently.
Unfortunately, he needed to organize the memories, which was the most time-consuming part.
Knock, knock, knock. Bang.
Zhang Zheng went downstairs and saw his damaged front door, rubbing his forehead in frustration.
"Seriously, do all you goddesses have this habit?" Zhang Zheng asked the three angels.
Looking at them, Yan was expressionless, Moyi was looking down, and Zhui looked somewhat embarrassed.
"Sorry, used too much strength," Angel Zhui said awkwardly.
"Uh, wasn't it Yan who did it?" Zhang Zheng asked in confusion, the words slipping out before he realized it.
"Hey, hey, kid, what do you take me for?"
"Why is it that when something gets broken, you immediately think of me?" Angel Yan was instantly displeased.
"An experienced driver, a man-teasing angel," Zhang Zheng blurted out, sometimes speaking without thinking.
-_-# Angel Yan's forehead was now marked with a row of veins, and her beautiful face turned somewhat menacing.
"Is that how Zhixin described me?" Angel Yan asked.
What kind of best friend is this? Is that really how she sees me?
Indeed, one can never truly know another's heart, Angel Yan thought to herself.
No choice, Angel Yan had to misunderstand. In her impression, Zhang Zheng could only know about her through Zhixin.
"No, no, no, you've got it wrong. I've been to Frazier. In their legends, Thunder War God Angel Yan is a goddess who loves to tease men," Zhang Zheng quickly explained, not wanting Angel Yan to misunderstand Zhixin. He couldn't say he saw it in the original story, so he had to sacrifice Frazier.
Zhang Zheng didn't mind using Frazier to take the fall. After all, their Queen Enid had tried to capture him.
Zhang Zheng was a petty person. Though he wouldn't harm others, he didn't mind a little payback in situations like this, just like when he insisted on sparring with Pan Zhen.
Pfft, haha. Angel Moyi couldn't hold back her laughter upon hearing Frazier's legend about Angel Yan.
Angel Zhui tried to pull Moyi back, but seeing Zhui's flushed face, Zhang Zheng knew she was also struggling to hold back her laughter.
"Ahem, Zhui, Moyi." Angel Yan was starting to lose her composure, glaring at her two bodyguards.
What's with these two besties? Why are they siding with this guy today?
Seeing Angel Yan's slightly embarrassed anger, Zhang Zheng knew it was time to change the subject.
"How about I arrange for Galaxy Power to meet you two? Give you a chance to spend some quality time together," Zhang Zheng suggested.
"Oh, are you trying to set me up on a date?" Angel Yan asked, her eyes narrowing dangerously.
Zhang Zheng saw the danger in Angel Yan's eyes but didn't mind. He was genuinely serious about setting her up with Ge Xiaolun.
Zhang Zheng had always thought that Rose and Ge Xiaolun weren't suitable for each other. If he could arrange for Angel Yan to enter Ge Xiaolun's heart before he fell hopelessly for Rose, Zhang Zheng wouldn't mind playing matchmaker.
Before his transmigration, Zhang Zheng had been quite fond of the idea of a romance between Angel Yan and Ge Xiaolun. Especially when Angel Yan said, "Since meeting you, I've realized 7,000 years isn't that old after all." That line had touched Zhang Zheng for a long time.
So, his offer to arrange a meeting between Ge Xiaolun and Angel Yan was sincere, without any teasing intent.
"Yes, I really think Xiaolun is perfect for you," Zhang Zheng said seriously.
"Not interested. That little brat? I've already seen his data. He's too young," Angel Yan dismissed the idea.
It seemed that Angel Yan wasn't impressed by Zhang Zheng's serious expression.
Seeing that Angel Yan genuinely wasn't interested, Zhang Zheng didn't pursue the topic further. He was just being kind. Since she didn't appreciate it, he'd just sit back and watch their future love drama unfold, like revisiting the original story.
"So, when are you heading back to Angel City? You're not planning to stay on Earth forever, are you?" Zhang Zheng asked, sensing the awkward atmosphere and changing the subject again.
"No idea. Queen Kaisa told us to stick with you and wait for further orders. So, kid, don't expect us to leave your place anytime soon," Angel Yan replied.
"Whatever. You can do as you please, but I have one request. Ladies, could you please be a bit more modest while staying at my place? Don't dress so provocatively.
Though I'm also a god now, I'm still in my twenties. When you keep doing this, it's really hard for me to handle." Zhang Zheng started with a serious expression but couldn't maintain it, eventually admitting defeat.
