Chapter 44 - Chapter 44

Zhang Zheng's surrender was met with acceptance from the three angels.

However, asking the angels to cover up their beauty was definitely a first for him.

"How about going out for a meal? My treat," Zhang Zheng said to the three angelic ladies, who were clearly in a bad mood.

Just moments earlier, after Zhang Zheng had requested the angelic ladies to change into more conservative clothing, they hadn't given him a single pleasant look. Zhang Zheng felt he should try to smooth things over with the three beautiful angels.

"No," Angel Yan replied, giving Zhang Zheng no face as the host.

"Not hungry, not in the mood," Angel Zhui added.

"Forget it, wearing such ugly clothes makes me not want to go out," Angel Moy added, also expressing her dissatisfaction with the conservative long pants and T-shirt she was wearing.

"Uh… alright, can I at least apologize?" Zhang Zheng didn't expect that simply asking them to change clothes would affect the three angels so much.

...

In Angel City.

"He Xi, Yan, Zhui, and Moy have already moved into Zhang Zheng's place," Kaisha said, sitting on the lawn, facing a stream, holding a cup of coffee as she spoke to He Xi beside her.

"You, a tomboy, actually came up with such a plan to deal with that kid. It's really impressive," He Xi said with amusement, also holding a cup of coffee.

It was a perfect picture: blue sky, white clouds, green grass, flowing streams, and two intellectual, beautiful women.

"Yan knows how to handle it. But this kid, he refused our request to judge Liang Bing on Earth yet again. He's quite arrogant, sending a message through Yan, saying he will deal with Liang Bing himself on Earth," Kaisha said gracefully.

"We've had over ten thousand years to deal with Liang Bing, so we're not in a hurry. But can Yan really handle that little rascal, Zhang Zheng?" He Xi expressed doubt about Yan's ability to handle Zhang Zheng.

He Xi had fought Zhang Zheng before and understood his strength. Although she didn't use the Heavenly Base System or her full strength, He Xi was confident that Zhang Zheng, who could fight Pan Zhen for two months and even trick Morgana, wasn't someone Yan could handle.

Kaisha, seeing through He Xi's thoughts, smiled and said, "He Xi, it's been over ten thousand years, and you're still looking at things from a warrior's perspective."

"Do you remember why Zhang Zheng was so determined to fight Pan Zhen?"

"He said it was because he was bullied by the main god of the Sun, Di Leina, so he wanted to trouble Pan Zhen."

"I don't believe that little girl from the Sun could really beat him, so there's only one possibility: they're friends, and he couldn't bring himself to teach her a lesson. So he endured it."

"And Yan happens to be Zhixin's close friend, so he doesn't want to make Zhixin sad. He can only let Yan, Zhui, and Moy bully him."

He Xi admired Kaisha's analysis.

As expected of the queen, the most intelligent woman in the universe.

She identified Zhang Zheng's weakness just from subtle clues.

Thinking of Zhang Zheng being bullied by the angels, He Xi couldn't help but feel much better.

"Then let Yan and Zhui keep at it, just make sure they don't really hurt Zhixin's feelings," He Xi said.

Kaisha understood what He Xi meant by "keeping things within limits." No matter how carefree they were, Yan and Zhui were still girls, and they had to be mindful of boundaries.

"Don't worry, He Xi. Yan will know how to handle it. By the way, I have the data they sent back yesterday. We can watch it together," Kaisha said, raising her beautiful right hand, forming a transparent screen from golden data.

On the screen, the footage of the three angels arriving at Zhang Zheng's home the day before played.

Kaisha and He Xi laughed as they watched Zhang Zheng being captivated by the angels' beauty, wanting to look but not daring to.

"This arrogant little guy, who would've thought he'd end up like this, being bullied by our three little angels. It almost feels like he doesn't deserve his universe-defying power," He Xi laughed at Zhang Zheng's embarrassing moments.

"He Xi, be patient with the male god. He's only in his twenties and has never practiced abstinence. He's actually doing quite well," Kaisha said, her tone showing satisfaction with Zhang Zheng, though her intent to continue tormenting him hadn't diminished.

"Alright, alright, I admit he's qualified as Zhixin's male god. I just can't stand how he's always glued to Zhixin. They're both divine beings with endless lifespans. Do they really need to talk on the phone that much every day?" He Xi said with some resentment.

Seeing He Xi's frustration, Kaisha didn't intervene, waiting until she had vented before saying, "Your student has already found her match. Now I'm worried about how Yan and the Power of the Galaxy will get along. Even though the data suggests that Yan and the Power of the Galaxy are the most compatible, it's just data. Human emotions are unpredictable."

This was exactly what Kaisha was worried about. Angels believed in data compatibility, but with Zhang Zheng's appearance, many variables had been introduced.

Zhang Zheng's genetic data had never been matched with Zhixin's, but the two were now very happy together. Zhixin was eager to join Kaisha on Earth, and Zhang Zheng was willing to endure the angels' unreasonable bullying and teasing for Zhixin's sake.

This shook Kaisha's confidence in using genetic data to match love.

"Yan's future should be hers to decide. The Power of the Galaxy is just the most compatible based on data. We can arrange for them to interact and see how things go," He Xi said, reassuringly.

"True, we're getting old now. Watching these young ones in love makes me feel younger," Kaisha said, pointing at the screen where Zhang Zheng fled back to his room.

"Indeed, it's quite amusing," He Xi chuckled.

Who would have thought that Queen Kaisha, the King of Gods, and the King of Heavenly Bases would be laughing so hard over Zhang Zheng's miserable state?

"Tell Yan and Zhui to keep up the good work," He Xi said, not remembering the last time she'd been so happy.

"Alright, I'll bring resources for us to share tomorrow," Kaisha agreed readily.

The two women exchanged a smile and lay back on the soft grass. Though they were lost in thought, their upturned lips showed that they were in good spirits.

...

On Earth.

Zhang Zheng took the three angels, who had changed back into their sexy skirts, out for a meal.

Walking down the crowded street, Zhang Zheng felt more attention on him than ever before.

Damn, not a single man between the ages of ten and sixty wasn't sneaking a glance at them.

Of course, sneaking a glance might be nice, but it could lead to trouble.

Seeing those men being dragged away by their female companions, Zhang Zheng felt much better.

His little Zhixin would never act like that. Looking at the three alluring angels, Zhang Zheng didn't feel so upset anymore.

Though they weren't his, it was still a great show of status to be seen with them.

In this cheerful mood, Zhang Zheng led the three angels to a hot pot restaurant.

"Welcome," the hostess greeted them. Though amazed by the three women's beauty, she dutifully led them to a clean table.

Zhang Zheng, being a gentleman, let the angels order whatever they wanted, while he only ordered some drinks.

The service in the restaurant was excellent, and soon everything Zhang Zheng ordered was served.

Just as Zhang Zheng and the angels were enjoying their meal, an unexpected incident occurred.
