Chapter 57 - Chapter 186: Who is He?

As the red light continued to block the laser beams, Tony Stark and the others were both shocked and curious.

Could it be that the Demon God behind these mages has intervened?

Otherwise, how could this red light have appeared to defend them from the lasers?

While they pondered this in fear, a sudden and unexpected sound of footsteps echoed.

The mages, Loki, Thor, and the others all turned their attention towards the source of the sound.

A figure emerged, slowly walking forward.

This figure was clad in a peculiar black outfit, so dark that it seemed to absorb all light. The clothing was as black as the void, reflecting nothing but darkness.

Black Widow Natasha, Hawkeye Barton, Cassilius, and the Chitauri commander all looked on with suspicion.

As for Tony Stark and Thor, they felt a sense of familiarity and immediately recognized the figure.

Not only did they recognize him, but Nick Fury and other S.H.I.E.L.D. members monitoring the New York battlefield from the mothership also quickly identified him.

"Isn't that the potential Asgardian?"

"Another son of Odin, the Asgardian King?"

"What is he doing here, and what is his purpose?"

Nick Fury furrowed his brow deeply.

With the situation looking promising, he prayed internally that nothing would go wrong.

New York battlefield.

At this moment.

"It's that mysterious guy!" Tony Stark muttered.

Watching the black figure leisurely walking towards them, Natasha turned in surprise and asked, "You know him?"

"Didn't I tell you about a mysterious figure in black I encountered recently? That's him!"

"Is it him?" Natasha's face showed surprise.

"What are you talking about?" Hawkeye Barton asked, confused. "Who is this person?"

Tony Stark glanced at him.

At that time, Barton was under Loki's control and wasn't on the mothership, so it was understandable that he wasn't aware of the situation.

So Tony Stark quickly explained, "It's a long story. I'll explain later."

"Who do you think he is…"

Pausing, Tony Stark said solemnly, "He might be an Asgardian god, Thor's brother."

Hawkeye Barton's face was filled with astonishment, and his mind was puzzled.

An Asgardian god? Thor's brother?

After his initial shock, Barton's curiosity grew.

Why has he come here? And…

Tony Stark wondered the same thing.

Glancing at the red light surrounding the mages, Tony Stark couldn't help but ask, "Is the red energy on those mages coming from you?"

With this question, everyone recalled the red light shielding the mages from the laser beams.

Staring at the red light still enveloping the mages, Tony Stark's mind began to form a troubling hypothesis.

From the first time he encountered this mysterious person and saw him floating with red light emanating from his hands, he had a vague suspicion.

Now, seeing that red light block countless lasers, his suspicion grew stronger.

Suddenly, Tony Stark blurted out, "Are you the White Knight? The White Knight of Omega Mutants?"

"What?"

"White Knight?"

Incredulous glances were cast towards the black-clad figure.

Then their gazes shifted to the red light around the mages.

Could it be…

Everyone knew that the White Knight's Omega power was associated with red light…

They stared in disbelief at the mysterious black-clad figure.

Seeing their reactions, Syd calmly replied, "I told you we'd meet again."

At that moment, Thor was bewildered. "Hey, what are you guys talking about?"

"White Knight?"

"Wait, you don't mean…"

Thor's eyes widened in shock as he realized the implications. Could this possible brother be the so-called Omega Mutant?

Thor was thoroughly confused.

Of course, all of this was still speculative. Until concrete evidence emerged, it remained a hypothesis.

Nearby.

Loki and the Chitauri commander exchanged glances, their expressions constantly shifting.

"White Knight?"

"Omega Mutant?"

"Created to deal with Sentinel Robots?"

They were familiar with the term White Knight. Recently, a human woman had mentioned it more than once.

Initially, when the woman said the Sentinels, designed to deal with two humans, would be used against their Chitauri army, they found it laughable, considering it absurd.

However, when the Sentinels demonstrated their power, they were stunned to discover the Sentinels were indeed very formidable!

They couldn't believe that these Sentinels were human-made.

That was when they started to take seriously the terms Omega Mutant and the White Knight, as well as the concept of a Messiah.

They even wondered how terrifying these individuals must be if Sentinels, which they had to deploy a whale ship to defeat, were merely small fry for them.

But soon after, because of the woman's remarks, they dismissed it with scorn.

Even now, they recalled the woman's words.

"Sentinels are just Sentinels. Even if they can't deal with the Messiah and the White Knight, they're easily dealt with when faced with them, yet they handle aliens with ease?"

The Sentinels, which took a whale ship to destroy, were just trivial things to the White Knight?

It was laughable!

They couldn't believe it.

Even the remaining Chitauri couldn't accept it.

Even now, knowing that the mysterious figure might be the so-called Omega Mutant, Loki still didn't believe it, finding it too exaggerated and implausible.
