At first, the Chitauri commander viewed the Omega Mutants and the so-called Messiah with only mild interest. However, as he examined the crucial details, his eyes widened in shock.
Omega Mutants, the Messiah? Cities destroyed, events of light?
He could hardly believe what he was seeing.
The data revealed that this so-called Omega Mutant Messiah had indeed annihilated an entire city. Photos and videos displayed on the computer emphasized the scale of the devastation.
"Are these really Earth's beings?"
The Chitauri commander was stunned. He now understood the terrifying power of the Omega Mutants.
He also wondered about the impact if this information reached other extraterrestrial forces. How would they react? Would they be cautious or see it as an opportunity?
Reluctantly, he had to admit that the Chitauri were among the weaker forces in the galaxy, overshadowed by many stronger entities…
Besides the Messiah, the reports also detailed the White Suit Figure and the White Suit Hero. The extent of reality-altering powers and god-like abilities was astounding.
The Chitauri commander was perplexed. How could such a seemingly weak civilization as Earth produce not one, but two formidable Omega Mutants? The White Suit Hero was particularly troubling—not only was his power mysterious, but there were also hints of a connection to Asgard, possibly indicating divine origins.
Although Asgard had been weakened by Odin's aging, as long as Odin lived and was not in eternal slumber, no force dared to challenge Asgard's domain, regardless of its strength…
The White Suit Hero's ambiguous identity and his potential link to Asgard, aside from his power, were the most concerning.
The Chitauri commander resolved that if he could escape this wretched prison, he would urgently inform Thanos about the Messiah and the White Suit Hero, urging caution. Additionally, he needed to recover the Space Stone and the Mind Stone, which were now in the hands of their enemies.
As the Chitauri commander anxiously contemplated sending this crucial information to Thanos, a different room some distance away was filled with its own troubles.
"Damn it, how do I get back?" Thor, the God of Thunder, was visibly distressed.
According to the original plan, he was supposed to capture Loki and return to Asgard with the Space Stone, using it to repair the Bifrost. But now, Loki had escaped, and the Space Stone was gone, leaving him stranded on Midgard (Earth).
Unless he could find the White Suit Hero and borrow the Space Stone, he had no way to return to Asgard. Unfortunately, he had no idea where to find him!
Unable to return to Asgard, Thor was also unable to inform his father Odin and mother Frigga about the situation with the White Suit Hero.
The more Thor thought about it, the more frustrated he became, feeling increasingly trapped without a clear path forward.
Meanwhile, aboard the S.H.I.E.L.D. mothership, Nick Fury had just finished a conversation with several senators and was walking down a corridor when he encountered Agent Hill.
"What do we do now, Director?" Hill asked, her concern evident.
"The team members have all gone their separate ways, some of them quite far," Hill noted with a hint of frustration. The newly-formed Avengers had disbanded shortly after the battle, each going back to their own affairs.
"If we face another situation like before, how will we handle it?" Hill's voice carried a note of unease.
Fury remained confident as he replied, "They will come back."
As they reached a more open area, looking out at the vast expanse of clouds outside the ship, Hill questioned, "Are you sure about that?"
"Of course," Fury said with conviction.
"Why?" Hill asked, puzzled.
"Because we need them," Fury replied calmly.
Hill understood that Fury was likely counting on the Avengers' sense of responsibility and moral obligation, knowing they wouldn't just ignore a crisis.
Though she saw the logic, she had her own duties to attend to and left to handle them.
In a remote location, Loki had seized a computer from a burly man and was now investigating the information on Omega Mutants.
Like the Chitauri commander, Loki was increasingly astonished and felt a mix of envy and jealousy towards the White Suit Hero. He was eager to find a way to utilize this information for his own ends.
Meanwhile, Syd had just opened his status panel and saw some updates:
Name: Syd
Age: 17 (Remaining Lifespan: 120 days)
Mutation Abilities: Mimicry, Energy Absorption
Current Mimicked Entity: Orochi (Title: Sun God, Earth's Will)
(Unlock Progress: 100%)
Abilities: Levitation (Max Level/Max Level) Five-Star
Energy Points: 21,868
Aside from aging a year and losing some remaining lifespan, the only significant change was the accumulation of energy points.
Syd noted that his ability to levitate had reached its maximum, and other powers had also improved. He wondered if he had reached the level of a Celestial (Heavenly Father) by now. In his view, such a level would be able to destroy planets, a feat he felt he was still far from achieving.
Just then, his Mimicry ability reacted to his subconscious thoughts, and a new line appeared in his energy points data:
Destructive Power: Town-Level 11%
Energy Points: 21,868
Syd was taken aback by this new data. It seemed to suggest that he could destroy a town within a short period. Given more time, he could likely destroy an entire city with ease.
The data seemed to reflect his standard destructive capacity, rather than a state of overexertion.
"Looks like I still have work to do," Syd thought to himself.
He turned his attention to the Light God Power data:
Ability: Light God Power (981/1000) Level Three**
"Almost there…"
Syd focused on channeling light energy within himself.
Light God Power Experience +1
Divine Body Experience +1
As his Light God Power approached Level Four, the light energy within him became more concentrated and unique. His body began to emit a glow, similar to when he first unlocked the power.
He continued to enhance himself, eager not to lag behind Venom. Once the Light God Power reached Level Four, it allowed him to manipulate light at an advanced level.
Syd tested his newfound abilities in a secluded area. With increased control over light, he could now achieve optical invisibility and move at supersonic speeds. He measured his flight speed, finding it had increased to roughly four times the speed of sound.
The Light God Power upgrade also made it clear that he could unleash the power around three hundred times before depleting his energy reserves.
Syd noticed that his Destructive Power had risen to 20% of the town-level capacity.
Meanwhile, in S.H.I.E.L.D.'s prison room, Nick Fury was engaged in a conversation with the Chitauri commander. After a tense exchange, the commander was allowed to leave the prison in exchange for valuable technological data.
Once the Chitauri commander was out of immediate oversight, he secretly contacted Thanos.
"What has happened on your end?" Thanos's deep voice resonated through the communicator.
The commander, still shaken, reported, "Master, we have failed."
"Failed?" Thanos's voice was both commanding and patient.
The Chitauri commander explained, "The Earthlings are not as weak as we thought. Some of them, particularly the Omega Mutants, were formidable and thwarted our plans. If it were only the regular Earthlings, I might have managed, but these beings—especially the Messiah and the White Suit Hero—are beyond our expectations."
Thanos listened carefully, his mind turning over the implications of these new threats. The presence of such powerful entities could indeed reshape his plans for Earth.
Meanwhile, Syd was diligently working on improving his abilities and preparing for future challenges. The road ahead was fraught with danger, and he knew he needed to be stronger to face whatever lay ahead.
