"My Master is beyond what you mere mortals can imagine." Observing their shocked expressions, Cassilius said calmly, "My Master once foretold that Earth would face its destined fate—an invasion."
"A great war will begin, leading to an 'Annihilation Event'!"
He continued, "Shortly after the prophecy, the Battle of New York occurred, proving my Master's prophecy to be perfectly accurate!"
Hearing this, Captain America and the others were both astonished and skeptical.
Could there really be such a thing as prophecy? Was it just a coincidence?
The current events did align with what the mage had said—Earth was indeed being invaded, and a war had started. If Cassilius was not lying, then there might be some truth to his words.
But wait!
Suddenly, Tony Stark noticed something odd.
"What exactly is this 'Annihilation Event' your Master mentioned?" he asked in confusion.
Upon hearing this, Natasha and the others also became curious about the peculiar term.
While they could see the connection between the prophecy and the Battle of New York, the term 'Annihilation Event' seemed strange and out of place.
Cassilius hesitated for a moment before replying, "Perhaps the 'Annihilation Event' my Master referred to is the Battle of New York?"
Tony Stark shook his head, disagreeing. "It's much more likely that the 'Annihilation Event' refers to something that hasn't happened yet."
"Of course, it could also be that your Master was indeed referring to the Battle of New York."
He added, "Honestly, we're still skeptical about your prophecy and your Master's existence. We'll only truly believe in your Master's power if such an 'Annihilation Event' actually occurs…"
He didn't need to elaborate further; everyone understood what he meant.
If such an event were to happen, it would prove that the so-called Master possessed unimaginable power—a truly great being!
However, for now, this was just one person's claim. After their initial shock, both the Avengers and Loki were gradually regaining their composure.
They felt that what Cassilius was saying seemed far-fetched and unsupported by any concrete evidence.
But what if this so-called 'Annihilation Event' were to actually occur?
Captain America and the others unconsciously dismissed this possibility.
Noting their expressions, Cassilius smirked slightly. "It's understandable that you ordinary people don't believe in my Master's power."
"Let me put it this way: if I told you that the merging of two universes is also due to my Master's power, you'd likely find that even harder to believe."
"You wouldn't think that two universes would merge for no reason, would you?"
"All of that is the result of my Master's power. My Master's strength is far beyond what you mere mortals can comprehend!"
Upon hearing this, Tony Stark and the others were stunned.
The abnormal events in the universe were apparently caused by this so-called Master?
How could that be possible?!
Tony Stark found it hard to believe that anyone could cause such a cosmic anomaly; he was more inclined to think it was a natural phenomenon.
But if it were true…
Tony Stark shook his head vigorously, trying to banish such impossible thoughts from his mind. It was simply inconceivable!
Others felt similarly; their initial shock had turned into disbelief.
If it were true, how incredibly powerful must this so-called Master be?
Cassilius and his associates could tell from their expressions that they were not convinced. In fact, their doubts about the prophecy and the Master had only deepened because of Cassilius's statements.
Furious, the mages, led by Pele, were itching to teach them a lesson. Cassilius, however, remained indifferent, believing that time would prove everything.
At this moment, Captain America, Steve Rogers, refocused on the Mind Stone and the Tesseract.
Clearing his throat, he said, "Regardless, please put down the Mind Stone and stay away from the Tesseract. They do not belong to you."
With this statement, the atmosphere between the Avengers and the mages grew tense.
Cassilius sneered. "It should be said that these items do not belong to you. They are offerings to the great Demon God."
Upon hearing this, Tony Stark didn't waste time. He quickly raised his hand, aimed at Cassilius, and fired a laser beam.
Bang! The laser shot forward with incredible speed!
Before it could reach Cassilius, however, a large yellow energy shield appeared, blocking the attack.
It was evident that Pele and the others had prepared in advance, using the Seraphim Shield.
Tony Stark glanced at Thor and the others, who immediately understood and joined the attack.
Boom! Thor's lightning hammer erupted in a blinding flash of electricity, striking the Seraphim Shield with tremendous force.
Hawkeye discarded his empty bow and pulled out a handgun, starting to shoot.
Black Widow Natasha and Hulk also joined in the assault.
The various attacks bombarded the Seraphim Shield.
They were determined to prevent the mages from taking the Tesseract and the Mind Stone, knowing the consequences could be severe.
Watching the relentless assault on the shield, Captain America and the others were hopeful.
Electricity crackled across the Seraphim Shield, causing the massive yellow shield to flicker and wobble.
While the attacks from Captain America, Hawkeye, and Black Widow were more of a nuisance than a real threat, Hulk's powerful punch broke through the already unstable shield.
Pele and the other mages stumbled, their faces filled with shock. They were clearly taken aback by the fact that the Avengers had managed to break the Seraphim Shield.
Reacting quickly, some mages continued to deploy protective shields while others summoned energy whips.
In the next moment, yellow energy whips appeared, lashing out to bind the Hulk and restrain him.
Unfortunately, they had underestimated the Hulk's strength. The energy whips were easily torn apart as the Hulk roared with fury!
Cassilius's brow furrowed instantly, realizing that Pele and the others were at a disadvantage. If things continued like this, they might lose.
He knew he couldn't afford to stay idle.
