Chapter 54 - Chapter 183: The Dimensional Deity

Captain America and the Avengers exchanged stunned glances, grappling with the realization that magic users actually existed on Earth. Such legendary beings were not just myths—they were real.

Thor scratched his head and said, "I believe my mother once mentioned that there are indeed some sorcerers in Midgard."

Thor's comment settled their doubts, confirming that these sorcerers were indeed what they claimed to be.

In the midst of their shock, Captain America furrowed his brow and asked, "Loki, what does this 'master' you mentioned mean?"

"I have no idea. You'll need to ask them," Loki shrugged.

Everyone's eyes turned to Kaecilius and his group.

Captain America, maintaining his vigilance, asked, "Is your goal to seize the Tesseract while we're occupied?"

"Is this 'master' you speak of the one controlling you? Did he send you here?"

Kaecilius, initially disinterested in engaging, grew cold at the perceived disrespect towards his deity. As a devout follower, he could not tolerate any slight against the great demon.

Determined to impart a lesson on respect and the greatness of his master, Kaecilius made a gesture with his hands, causing them to glow red.

The next moment, a massive red lightning bolt, a powerful and destructive spell known as the Bostath Thunder, surged towards them. The spell's speed and intensity were nearly impossible to react to.

The lightning bolt carved a path of destruction through the Stark Tower rooftop, causing the ground to crack and crumble under its force.

Captain America raised his shield to block the strike, but the overwhelming power of the Bostath Thunder was too much. The shield, though absorbing most of the attack, could not prevent the remainder of the spell from sending Captain America flying.

He barely managed to grab the edge of the building, preventing himself from plummeting to the streets below. The attack had been so swift that the Avengers almost didn't react in time.

Tony Stark rushed to help Captain America, pulling him to safety. As the smoke cleared, the team saw Captain America's scorched and blackened form, with the smell of burning flesh lingering in the air.

The Avengers were in awe of the sheer power of the magic they had just witnessed. How could one spell cause so much devastation?

Tony Stark raised his hand, Natasha Romanoff drew another gun, and Thor gripped his hammer tightly, preparing to retaliate.

However, Kaecilius remained calm, his gaze fixed on the battered Captain America. His voice was grave as he spoke, "Mortal, you have been disrespectful and lack reverence. This was merely a small lesson. If you continue to speak of my master with such disrespect, I will show no mercy."

Coughing and trying to regain composure, Captain America asked, "Who exactly is your master? Are all magic users like you his followers?"

In response, Kaecilius did not elaborate much but stated with reverence, "You mortals do not comprehend the greatness of the master."

His expression of awe grew more intense as he continued, "Before today's battle in New York, my master had prophesied this very event."

Tony Stark's face showed a mixture of surprise and skepticism. "What did you say?"

Not only Stark but also Natasha, Loki, and the Chitauri commander were bewildered. The idea that a prophecy had predicted the New York battle was almost too incredible to believe.

Loki, who had been frowning, suddenly had an insight. "What he says might actually be true."

"Meaning what?" Thor and the others asked.

Loki recounted a conversation he had after stealing the Tesseract from SHIELD, recalling Kaecilius' ominous words: "As the master predicted, everything is about to begin."

"I was puzzled then about what these sorcerers anticipated. Now it seems their words had more meaning…" Loki said, his expression cautious.

Hawkeye Barton nodded, confirming that Kaecilius and his group had indeed spoken of such cryptic things. He had not understood their full meaning until now.

The Avengers were left in shock. Was there really such a thing as prophecy? And was it related to their current crisis?

The Chitauri commander, still skeptical, muttered, "There are such beings on Earth?"

Kaecilius glanced at him and said, "My master is not an entity of Earth. He is the great Dimensional Deity."

The revelation caused both Loki and Thor's eyes to widen in shock.

"A Dimensional Deity?" Thor exclaimed, his voice filled with astonishment.

Hearing Thor's reaction, the Avengers turned to him, their curiosity piqued.

"Thor, do you know anything about this?" Captain America asked.

Thor nodded and explained, "I have heard from my father and mother about the Dimensional Deities."

"They are god-like beings with eternal life and terrifying power, the source of various mystical forces in reality."

"If a Dimensional Deity is not stopped, they could potentially destroy Earth."

The Avengers were left in awe. The concept of a being with such immense power was both terrifying and overwhelming.
