Chapter 1 - Ch 1 A blessing or a curse?

Suryalok is a world of stunning beauty, where the golden skies and floating cliffs create a breathtaking horizon. Majestic waterfalls cascade from these cliffs, shimmering with an ethereal glow. Enchanted forests with singing trees carpet the land below. Magnificent crystal cities floating gracefully in the air moved by ancient magic. Plains painted with colorful blooming flowers bask under the warm rays of the sun, casting a radiant glow that illuminates this beautiful world.

With ways to cultivate the hidden powers in their bodies, people wished to reign supreme over this enchanted world filled with treasures. Everyone wanted to rise like the sun in this world. The powerful ones wanted to rule over the weak, doing whatever they desired.

In Suryalok, where many empires rise and fall, the small Vajra Empire lies in the south. The Vajra Empire is made up of states governed by ministers, and these states consist of cities and towns dominated by powerful clans. In the state of Mahak lies the city of Kashvyagiri, ruled by the Skambha clan.

On a bright day near the majestic Skambha mansion, a sprawling field buzzes with the vibrant energy of young people. In the center of the field stands a stone crystal with a black tint, its surface gleaming in the sunlight. The slow winds weave through the field, rustling the grass and carrying the laughter and shouts of the youth.

Under the warmth of the sunlight, the crystal pulses with a gentle, rhythmic light, harmonizing with the beauty around it. The roots at its base tear through the ground and spread across like veins, glowing with a soft, radiant light. The group of luminescent flowers around the crystal infuses the breeze with a sweet scent.

Most of the young people are excited to discover their energy talents.

The human body is made up of five main elements known as Pancha-tattva: Air, Fire, Water, Sky, and Earth. It is said that all other elements, no matter which, originated and are composed of these five divine elements. A body's existence is permitted by these five elements.

These five elemental energies come from cosmic energy and resemble it. Every single energy in the universe has originated from cosmic energy, which resides within every living being as life force. With this cosmic energy, anyone can gain powers beyond limits and perform miracles no one can imagine.

Many different types of energy come from cosmic energy and take special forms inside a living being's body. These different energy forms grant specific powers to their owners, which can be used for their benefit. These energy forms are called energy talents.

Energy talents can be of different types, such as sword energy talent, where the owner has special sword energy and can use it with a sword as their power. Bow energy talent is similar but involves a bow, allowing its possessor to launch powerful projectile attacks.

There are many more types of energy talents with different weapons and other objects that no one can predict. However, a rare few people are gifted with elements as their energy talents. That element can be anything in the universe since all elements originated from Pancha-tattva, which in turn came from cosmic energy. Simply, there are two types of energy talents: ability energy talent and element energy talent.

If someone possesses one of the five elements, they are considered gifted. This is why this ceremony is called the energy talent ceremony, which takes place every once a year, to identify those who can control a specific element or ability. But today, everyone seemed tense about something.

"Where is Princess Mayra? Why can't I see her today?" a man asked.

It seemed like the main princess of the clan was missing.

"Hey! Do you know where elder sister Mayra could have gone?" another man asked his friend.

"She must have gone to find that loser, Rudra! After all, she's his elder sister, and her sisterly love is always too much," another man chimed in.

Meanwhile in the nearby hills, covered with trees singing with the weaving air, rustling through their leaves, was a boy, who lazily sat on a tree branch, took out a medicinal pill, and gulped it down his throat.

"This is useless. To awaken one's energy talent, they need either a spiritual stone or their kundalini to flow through their first chakra," the young boy muttered.

This boy, Rudra used to be a genius member of the clan, the grandson of Patriarch Vihaan.

Since Rudra was born there were no whereabouts of his whole family, except for his grandfather, and three sisters. His Father, mother, he didn't know anything about them. He was parented by his only guardian Grandpa, it was only until the age of 10, that his grandpa began going on long journeys.

Rudra has been using the saint way since he was 9 years old, and six years ago when he was 10 he discovered his energy talent and trying to cultivate it too, but last year God knows what happened, that his body has weakened so much.

Physicians confirmed that he only had a few years to live. His energy channels were shrinking, making it harder for his kundalini to flow. This condition started after an incident a year ago. Whenever he remembered that incident that took place one year ago, he winced, the incident left him with this condition.

Kundalini is the life force of the human body, formed of body energy and spiritual energy. Energy talent and kundalini are different but connected through cosmic energy.Kundalini is formed of Pancha-tattva, and using mantras, one can use their kundalini for various attacks. Energy talent grants specific powers, while kundalini is powerful and hard to cultivate.

The saint way is the specific method to cultivate kundalini. Some only cultivate their body energy, some only their spiritual energy, and some use energy talent paths to cultivate. Energy talent paths are skills to upgrade energy talent through levels. The practice of these paths determines the power of the energy talent.

To control energy talent, one needs a special power called flarenege. Talent energies manifest as talent symbols within the body. "Flarenege" refers to the energy let out by these symbols.

Kundalini, being the most powerful energy formed of Pancha-tattva, is hard to cultivate. The saint way is difficult and sensitive, the slightest of mistakes causing huge damage to kundalini. Saints get access to abilities like magic and alchemy, as well as using energy talents. However, most people in this world use body energy to cultivate physical strength and with lower chances of death.

Cultivating both body and spiritual energy together, or kundalini, is hard and requires great sacrifice. But people nowadays avoid such hardships.

They don't understand that great gains need greater sacrifice.

The saint way is hard, involving pain and struggles. It's also beneficial for those with elemental energy talents. For some reason, Rudra chose the saint way.

Kundalini, known as the cosmic energy residing within every living being, must flow through the main energy channel along the spine, passing through chakra points to activate them, granting more powers. Without kundalini, life is not possible. Rudra had kundalini, but it was weakening, leading to poor health. Due to this, Rudra was considered weak.

While Rudra wondered, he heard a girl screaming for help, "Aah! Please someone help, save me!"

Rudra jumped off the tree and ran towards the direction of the screams. After a while, he saw a girl around his age being robbed by three boys.

"Hey you, you're quite beautiful. Want to go on a date with me?" the first boy, lanky as a stick, asked with a lustful look.

"Shut up, you idiot! We're here to rob her," said the muscular boy with a fit physique. "Girl, give us all your money!"

"Or we'll take everything from you by force!" the third, fat, pot-bellied boy said huffing from the small jog he took.

"No, I don't have anything!" the girl cried in fear.

"Hey, let her go!" Rudra called out.

They all looked at him. The muscular boy recognized Rudra.

"Heh, isn't that loser Rudra from the Skambha clan?" the lanky boy laughed. Rudra, shocked, took out a sword from the sheath on his back.

"Oh! So the failure wants to fight, huh? Hahaha," the muscular boy laughed and drew his sword.

As he held it, a faint blue light covered its edge, showing his sword energy talent powered by his flarenege.

Now, Rudra started to sweat. But still, he stood his ground for his self-respect.

The muscular boy rushed towards Rudra, who also dashed forward. When their swords clashed, a weak wave of impact was generated.

Rudra was thrown back, hitting a tree and falling to the ground. He glanced at his sword, finding a crack on it. He spat out blood from the impact. The thin and fat boys laughed at Rudra, while the muscular boy confidently approached him.

With a small attack, Rudra was knocked to the ground, his arms scratched, and his back paralyzed. As the boy was about to attack again, Rudra instinctively raised his hands.

At that moment, a fist hit the boy's face. It was a beautiful, elegant girl with a thin waist and slender legs, wearing blue and white clothes. Her skin was milk-white and soft.

"Are you okay?" the girl asked Rudra. She was Mayra, one of his three sisters.

"Yeah, I-I'm fine," Rudra stammered, still in shock, thinking he was about to die. He felt a mix of embarrassment and disappointment.

Mayra noticed the blood on Rudra's mouth. "You dare hurt my brother!"

She rushed at the muscular boy, delivering more blows.

"Wow, such a beauty. Do I have a chance to impress her?" the lanky boy asked. Rudra heard this and tried to get up to teach him a lesson, but his body wasn't cooperating.

Mayra heard the comment and, in a flash, appeared before the two remaining boys. In the next moment, they were on the ground, kissing

Mayra looked towards that girl, with inspecting eyes. Under Mayra's gaze a chill rand down her spine.

"Thank you sister, and brother Rudra for saving me, I owe a lot to you.", said the girl hurriedly and ran out of there as fast as she could.

Mayra goes back to Rudra, supporting him to get up, she slightly slaps his head.

"fool! Don't you remember that today is the energy talent ceremony?", she drags him towards the huge field near the Skambha mansion.

As Rudra was thinking about the ceremony it was making him remember the incident one year ago. Remembering the incident and that thing all he was thinking was, 'Was that thing a blessing or a curse?'
