Chapter 19 - Battleground

"So are you aying that you triggered this godly part of you in a temple?" Jake asks with shock evident in his tone, "Like the same temple which Mrs Sylvester said is non existent?"

"For the tenth time Jake, yes." Quincy sighs, "No matter how many times you keep asking me, you would receive the same answer. Also the temple isn't non existent, it just haven't been discovered by anybody else but me."

Quincy shrugs as they approaches the table they are to have their lunch. Placing the tray in his hand down, he rolled up his sleeves of the dark hood he is putting on before digging into the food.

"Wow. Quincy, I feel like my whole life just turned upside down." Jake said exaggeratedly as he repeatedly blinks his eyes. "My best friend is a god and also some sort of Messiah, I think I might still be lost in my dream."

"Dude, careful with the way you speak. People are watching and you can't tell who might be eavesdropping. Don't make me regret telling you." Quincy warns.

"Alright, I understand. Besides, I haven't seen the seductive four today. Do you have a idea about where they might be?" Jake asks sweeping his gaze across the canteen to catch sight of any of the four divine beauties.

Quincy furrows his brows but he casually replies, "Perhaps, they decided to skip school today." Quincy shrugs his shoulders before focusing his attention on his meal.

Meanwhile, the seductive four as Jake likes to call them, could be seen walking around the woods of Celestial Falls. By the look of their movements, they are searching for something, or someplace.

"Are you sure he said that this is the spot?" Christine's voice rang out as she rest her back against the tree behind her.

"I don't know for sure but judging by his description, this might be the place. I mean that is the steepy slope he mentioned as one of the landmarks." Celeste said as she crease her brows while fixing her gaze on the ground around her.

"Celeste, we have been walking aimlessly around the forest for hours now. Maybe there really is no temple." The tired voice of Christiana reverberated in Celeste's ears. "Perhaps we should come back with Quincy later to search for the temple."

"It won't be necessary." Cynthia said drawing the attentions of the other females. She was staring at the ground beneath her like an archeologist who discovered a fascinating fossil.

Squatting her figure, Cynthia gently wipes away the dirt on a print in the ground. "Look, a footprint. It is obviously the same as the snickers Quincy loves to put on." Cynthia pointed out thus earning the curious gaze of her companions. "And it seems like it is not the only one." Cynthia pointed out to the rest of the footprints that created a trail which the four began to follow.

"Alas, the hidden temple we have been searching for." Cynthia mused as they stopped by a large hole in the ground.

"A hole is the hidden temple?" Christiana asks, uncertainty is evident in her voice.

"Apart from the steepy slope, Quincy made mention of a hole he fell through. As you have seen, we went pass the slope to get to this hole. It only makes sense that this is the place." Celeste stated while nodding her head affirmatively.

"What a sight to behold." A playful remark sounded not far from where the four stood. "An Amazon, a Muse, a Nymph and A fate. I feel like I have been highly favoured by the gods to witness such a glorious combination." The voice commented with a playful tone of surprise etched in it's tone.

The four turned to look at the source of the voice and behold, there stood before them a slender figure whose face is covered by the dark hood it is wearing. Though the robe it is donning tend to cover it's body from the head to the toe completely, it still left the figure's long slimy fingers exposed.

"Dark Druid!" Celeste said through gritted teeth. She took a guarded stance alongside the rest of her harem as they stared warily at the cloaked figure save for Christine whose gaze is brimming with an undisguised killing intent.

"Relax, we are not here for a fight. We just want to talk." The Dark Druid chuckles.

"We?" Cynthia asks and the next second, another group of trio emerged from the trees while surrounding Celeste and her companions.

"Of course, I should have known. No member of your coven moves alone without the other." Celeste sneered while looking at the other ladies whose face are exposed as they have their hoods down.

"Of course Nymph. Like you, I also surround myself with companions. And just like you, I have an obligation to fulfill when it comes to the ones we serve." The Dark Druid stated.

"Don't be delirious, Druid." Celeste spat. "I am nothing like you. Never have been, never will be."

The Dark Druid chuckles with a tinge of amusement before replying, "We know you have the Chosen Blood. Give him to us and there won't be bloodshed."

This time, it is Celeste's turn to laugh, "You want the Chosen Blood, over my dead body."

The Druid sighs. It slowly took two steps towards Celeste before stopping, "Don't be stubborn Nymph. We both know that the Chosen Blood stands no chance for the throne so I would advise you give him up now before it is too late."

"Like I said, over my dead body. There is no way in Olympus that I would betray the one I swore to serve and protect so why don't we skip the charade." Celeste said while exuding a fierce aura that envelopes the whole forest.

"As you wish Nymph." The Dark Druid replies before releasing it's own aura that fought for dominance with Celeste's.

At the mention of the Dark Druid's words, the two sides got ready to engage. Thus, the once dry grounds of the forest turned into a bloody battleground as both sides clashed.
