Clarissa had been so flustered that she couldn't even hide her the shock in her eyes. "Sorry?"
The Chairman shrugged. "Well, since you're going to be representing us from this branch over in London, you'll clearly need a car for promotional blah blah blah, and also a decent place to live in. You are to be comfortable through out this one year, and I can do just that." He said.
Why was he being nice to her? Did Liam ordered him to do that as well?
"I think I have an idea of what you might be thinking right now, but that's not it." He said, cutting Clarissa off her thoughts that she had to stare for a while to get her cool back.
"What do you mean, sir?" She asked carefully.
"I am doing all this for you, not because Liam asked me to. This is all my doing because I wish to. You are...well, a special child. You're just lucky, I guess." He shrugged, then brushed it off with some old school jokes Clarissa couldn't really understand.
