Clarissa's face was serious all this while before she exploded into series of questions. "How long have you been in town without informing me? Congratulations on being the CEO but why didn't I know about this too? How much have you been hiding from me, Julian? I thought we were friends!"
Julian paused, letting it all sink in, then be gave a sigh of relief. "Clarissa, I didn't know much about you too, so you can't really blame me right now. I mean, you divorced Jared?"
Clarissa's mind suddenly went somewhere else as she heard her own name being called out. Thing was, most of the people around her called her by her short form name 'Rissa'. All except Liam who had never called her that for once. It was always well pronounced and he would take his take calling out her name like it was the sweetest thing in the world.
