"What are you saying?" Stella frowned, asking again.
"You heard right." Liam said so easily. "Come on, see me off babe." Liam held her hand and together they made their way to the elevator ignoring Stella completely.
Once the elevator doors shut, Clarissa made her lips moved. "Girlfriend? Come on, Liam. Don't you dare do that to me, okay?"
Liam shot her a furrowed brow. "Do what?"
"I am not interested in making Stella my enemy. I don't want any sort of drama with you and your ex girlfriend or maybe even present girlfriend. She looks like someone who can pour hot water on my face or...maybe even acid!" She hated herself for stuttering but she was desperate for the right words to use.
Liam was quiet for a while. "Girlfriend?" He pronounced carefully like the word was wrong. "Stella is my cousin."
Clarissa didn't hear him well. "Your cousin?"
