It wasn't anything of a surprise that Elan would come to see how far they'd gone. Clarissa had been waiting for that moment actually. But with Desdra going on about with him, that part scared her a bit much.
It was as if she and Elan had suddenly become best friends just over the weekend. And it bothered Clarissa because what happens when Desdra is finally able to send her away from the company with Elan's influence like she had always wanted to from day one?
"Well how are your tasks going?" That was Desdra's voice.
Clarissa realized that was why attending the party meant so much for her. If she was able to do so, she would have proven Desdra wrong. Other wise, how long before Desdra printed her sack letter?
"I believe that you shouldn't have the right to ask us that, seeing that you don't even belong to our team." Clarissa said, choosing her words carefully.
