Chapter 2 - Luan Xie is here!

There was a man in his room. On the first sight itself, He Shun knew that this man was not a crazy fan or a thief because the man was tied up. No one in their sane mind would do such a thing to themselves.

He Shun observed the unknown man carefully. The man had rope tied up on his wrists, legs, and month, perhaps for him not to scream. He looked battered, and to sum it all up, he wore historical clothing, maybe from China or Korea. He Shun was not sure himself. The man looked at him with his piercing eyes.

He Shun thought that he would see the man's vulnerability and a pleading look in his eyes, but no. That was not the case. The man looked arrogant and deviant. There was not a look of weakness, despite the situation the man was in.

Now, the bigger and most important question was, how did the man get in his room. He Shun hesitated upon his actions. He was not sure what to do. He took a step closer, but the glare in the man's eyes stopped him from coming closer.

He figured that the man did not want him any closer, maybe because he thought He Shun was a danger. The only dangerous person here was that unknown man, not He Shun!

"Uh, relax. I... just want to help, I swear," He Shun said, slowly raising his hands in defeat. The man looked at him with a hint of confusion in his eyes, but he sensed He Shun's genuine concern, so he averted his gaze, letting the latter step closer.

He Shun took this as a win, and thus, he walked towards the man hesitantly. He was not still sure if the man was a danger or not. Most probably, he was, and He Shun lacked survival skills. He could have called the police, couldn't he?

Sighing in defeat, He Shun didn't bother himself any longer, and he crouched down in front of the man, his eyes taking in the features of the man that he missed earlier.

The man had relatively long eyelashes, and his eyes were big and doe, despite the anger hidden within. The man's eyes revealed secrets that words could not.

The man nudged He Shun out of his trance. He hinted at the ropes and silently ordered He Shun to untie them. He Shun, slightly embarrassed of checking out the man, undid the ropes.

Soon enough, the man was free, and he pushed He Shun out of his way. He Shun fell down on his butt as he stared at the man trying to stand up. It seemed that the man had injured his ankles after being tied up.

He Shun quickly stood up after analysing the whole situation. He grabbed the man and made him sit on his bed. The man's eyes flickered in shock, though his face remained expressionless.

"Who are you, and how did you get in my house?" He Shun asked, not giving a chance for the man to flee.

The man stayed quiet as the markings of the rope tied around his mouth were vividly turning purple-ish. He pondered for a while, feeling He Shun's questionable glare on him. He then finally opened his mouth to answer. His voice was groggy, unable to speak clearly. Perhaps it was the effect of the robe that seemed to tie on his mouth for a long time.

"Luan Xie. As for how I got here, I do not know."

He Shun blinked in confusion. He stared at the man proclaimed Luan Xie. He leaned forward, carefully looking at the face of the man, as if looking for any flickers of lies. maintained his glare, not bothering to look away even if He Shun was terribly close to him.

"How can you be Luan Xie?" He Shun asked. He was confused, perplexed, and shocked. Basically, he was feeling all sorts of emotions—negative emotions.

"What do you mean?"

He Shun held out his script and the book where Luan Xie was in. It had a beautiful cover, the youngest prince with a sword in front of the throne. "This. Are you cosplaying or something?"

Suddenly, the anger hidden in Luan Xie's eyes came to the surface. He snatched the book from He Shun's hand and examined the cover. He Shun was surprised. He took a long step back as if he knew something would have gone wrong soon.

Luan Xie torn the book in pieces, gritting his teeth. His anger was unmeasured. He shredded the cover, not letting a tiny sight of the youngest prince be seen.

He Shun watched all these in shock. He grabbed the torn up book from Luan Xie and threw it on the other side of the room. "What is wrong with you? You can't tear up people's books!"

Maybe He Shun was just imagining it, but for a split second, Luan Xie's eyes turned bloody red. It went away as soon as it came to the surface. He Shun sighed deeply in irritation. "You have not answered me yet. Are you cosplaying or what?"

Luan Xie did not answer. He did not utter a single word from his mouth. Instead, he kept staring at the shredded pieces of the cover page on the floor with anger.

"Fine then! I am going to call the police now," He Shun only said this to scare Luan Xie, and perhaps the latter could start talking, but Luan Xie acted indifferent to He Shun's words. He Shun glanced down at the torn up pieces of paper.

Well, there was only one way left. He Shun walked to the side of the room and took out his vacuum. In a swift, He Shun vacuumed the pieces of paper. Luan Xie gasped slightly. It was not visibly heard, but He Shun picked it up from the body language.

Luan Xie watched the vacuum cleaner for a while, even after He Shun put it away. He then looked up at He Shun, expressionless. "What is that?" Luan Xie asked.

He Shun could not talk for a while as he stared at Luan Xie . He was not sure what he was hearing. "Excuse me?"

"That. What is that?"

He Shun looked at where Luan Xie was pointing. It was a vacuum cleaner. He Shun let out a nervous chuckle and said, "Have you assimilated yourself completely in your historical cosplay that you forgot basic modern things?"

"Cosplay?" Luan Xie did not know the meaning of the word. To be frank, he did not quite understand He Shun and his lifestyle. He was not sure where he got himself in.

"Cosplay. The character you are dressed as," He Shun said, trying to make the former understand. He did not want to believe that someone in the twenty-first century did not know what a cosplay or a vacuum cleaner was.

"I am dressed as myself," As a matter of fact, Luan Xie explained himself despite feeling out of place and confused from the whole situation. He kept his gaze on He Shun, who looked like someone had stolen his best actor award that was on the shelf behind.

He Shun slowly dragged his body and sat down beside Luan Xie in shock. He could not utter a word, still not believing the man's words. "What do you mean?" He asked.

Luan Xie pointed at himself and his attire as he said once again, "I am dressed as myself. I am Luan Xie, and I am asking where this place is."

He Shun stared at him for any hint of uneasiness and lie, but he found none. Luan Xie's eyes appeared to be truthful, and it only made He Shun feel more in disbelief. "Do you know what year we are in?" He asked.

Luan Xie looked at him, perplexed. He did not anticipate this question. He answered it as a matter of fact, a voice brimming with confidence, "1183."

He blinked, raising his eyebrows. Surely, Luan Xie was pulling his leg. He did not believe in his words at all. "Stop joking," He Shun said.

"But I am not," Luan Xie said. His eyes looked sincere to He Shun. Despite not wanting to believe in it, He Shun, deep inside his heart, knew the truth.

The truth that would be considered impossible to be.

Luan Xie really came to his world.
