Anna didn't feel attraction towards Demetri but more like a friend vibes instead. The calmness Demetri brings is good it makes her think more openly and clearly.
An hour later...
The lecture had finished Anna fell asleep during a lecture. 'What a girl? Falling asleep like this.' He thought sighing. Demetri shook her from the shoulders to wake her up. Her skin was soft and tender as she smelled really good too.
"Anna wake up." Demetri said in a gentle voice.
"Fiie (five) mue (more) minutes." She replied in tired state.
"But then we won't get any food." Demetri whispered in her ear. As she instantly got up.
"Let's go." Anna was ready and brimming with energy.
"Okay." We were walking together to the cafeteria and most of the things were mediocre. Demetri just bought a chiken pasta and protein shake.
Anna had bought herself some food too. "You never answered my question where are you from?" She asked him again.
"I was born and grew up here." Demetri said pausing and spoke. As he didn't want to show his rudeness by talking while eating.
"So basically you lived here your whole life?" She asked.
"Yep. But I have been to England a couple of times to London and Edinburgh." Demetri says.
"Seriously, you went to Edinburgh." She superised that I even knew and even went to other parts of the UK.
"Whats that supposed to mean? You think I don't know places?" Demetri asked a little annoyed as he rolled his eyes.
"Gee no need to be on the offense. I was just superised that's all." Anna said denying the accusations with a smile as she was enjoying the little banter.
"Liar your smiling. Well whatever." Demetri says trying to look angry but also laugh a bit.
"Why are chuckling?" She asked curious.
"Well, if I am with someone and they are laughing. I also start laughing with them and enjoy time with them." Demetri says with a smile wiping some tears away.
"So you are enjoying time with me?" She asked him finishing her food.
"Of course. You can see me laughing with you silly." Demetri says with a smile and finished his pasta and carrying the protein shake.
"We have one more class for today. You going to do anything after? Like get drunk and stuff?" Demetri asked her.
"No way. I don't drink and do that kind of stuff." She said chuckling and hit my shoulders in a playful manner.
"Well, you know what they say. Some students come to uni for the experience rather than the education." Demetri teased her.
"Ohh. I am seriously not like that." Anna said pouting slightly.
"Yeah, yeah. That's what they all say at the beginning. Well jokes aside, you going home or hanging out with friends you made?" Demetri asked serious.
"I am going home. Most of the people in my dorm are annoying." Anna frowned.
"You can hangout with me, but I'm heading to the campus gym to do some workout." Demetri said.
"You do go to the gym?" Anna questioned as she has never seen a person so normal in her whole life.
"Yeah, I like staying fit and not getting fat like others."
As Anna decides to tease a bit. " You calling me fat?!"
"Well in a good way." Demetri replied.
Anna blushed from his compliment and said, "Stop it. It's embarrassing, you are such a tease."
Demetri laughs and says, "Well, it's fun to tease girls, especially when they react like this. You're quite cute when you get embarrassed."
Anna pouts and hit him slightly on the arm, "You are so annoying."
Demetri laughed and continued, "You have quite the reaction, especially after just knowing me for only one day."
Before the conversation could go forward, it was interrupted by the ringing of Anna's phone. She checked her phone and said, "Excuse me, I need to take this."
As she stepped aside a little bit, Demetri sat there and waited for her to finish. He finished his shake and threw it in the garbage can.
After returning to the table, Anna was all fidgety and a little distressed.
Demetri raised his eyebrow in question and asked, "You look stressed, what happened?"
Anna frowned and responded, "It's nothing. Don't worry about it."
Demetri looked at her and, "If your comfortable sharing it with me, I won't mind listening to you and help you, if nerd be."
Anna was amazed by how sweet this guy was, she sighed and responded, "Promise me you won't tell anyone."
Demetri nodded and said, "Of course."
Anna sighed, feeling a little relaxed after letting the stress out, "Ok so recently I went to a party with my friends since I have never gone to one before, at least once. There I bumped into my Ex Boyfriend whom I broke up with 3 months ago."
Demetri listened and didn't interrupt her. He nodded in understanding and said, "Hmm, so did something happen afterward?"
"Yeah, it did. He was jealous and even said that he can get any other hot girl he wants here since there are rich guys at the uni. He kept bragging about these kinds of stuff all the time in front of me which annoyed me and he even kept calling me annoying words, even though I broke up and moved on already." Anna said, a little angry and embarrassed.
"I see... please do continue" Demetri says with a note jotting it down.
"He was also trying to impress another girl. He also kept on comparing me with other girls that, they are more beautiful and have more wealth than me, I-i don't why he says this."Anna said a little emotional while tearing up.
Demetri looked sad and placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder, "Anna, why are you letting him treat you this way. He doesn't deserve you."
Anna looked up and smiled feeling a little better, "It's just hard. He was my boyfriend for a really long time. And now I still don't understand why he started to hate me, even though I treated him well and with much respect, but I guess some men are like that."
"Yeah, I agree. As my father said, men are like that, some only want to have fun and make you a sidepiece until they find, 'better'. Well you should forget that guy and move on. You can easily find other guys to hang out with." Demetri sighed.
Demetri set his pen and paper aside, sliding his reading glasses down his nose. "From what I can tell, he has a huge ego and a rather arrogant demeanor. Confidence is great, but arrogance can blind you."
Anna couldn't help but notice how cute he looked—his slender yet muscular build complemented by shoulder-length hair tied in a messy bun, a few rebellious strands framing his neck.
There was something alluring about his blend of feminine and masculine features, striking a perfect balance that caught her attention.
"Exactly. You get it, and yeah, he is quite a big headed person."
Anna looked embarrassed after realizing she was staring at him. She blushed and cleared her throat and said, "By the way, you don't look so bad yourself, so, have you ever dated anyone?"
"Well..." Demetri was about to tell she got lost in her own thoughts about something.
"An... Anna.... Anna earth to Anaa." Demetri called out getting close to her face as she stopped responding.
"Huh? What?" Anna said snapping back out of her thoughts, blushing, embarrassed by her own imagination running wild from a simple wink. She cleared her throat, "Sorry. I went a little overboard there."
Demetri chuckled and replied, "Yeah, I can tell. By the way, should be going to the gym. I can't miss my workout, or I'll start to become lazy and unfit."
Anna looked at him and felt a little sad as he was leaving, but she composed herself and said, "Wa- wait."
"I guess it was really too irritating and upsetting for you to remember those things. That's why you zoned out?" Demetri said
"Y-yeah, I didn't mean to," Anna said, feeling embarrassment creep in, realizing how close he was to her.
Demetri, noticing her embarrassment, teased. He smirked and said with a mischievous glint in his eyes, "Is having someone this close to you bothering you?"
Anna blushed even more and retorted, "Y-you're too close, and stop teasing me.
"You're so cute when you're blushing," Demetri chuckled and said, "It's fun teasing you." As he moved a bit further away to see her reaction. He found her reactions and expressions quite fun and was now having fun teasing her.
"If I as your friend don't tease you, then who do I tease?" Demetri said while chuckling.
Anna pouted, her cheeks still reddened, "Stop teasing me so much. It's not good for my heart, you know." She huffed, which made her look even more adorable in Demetri's eyes, and continued.
Demetri laughed and pinched her cheek, unable to resist the temptation and said, "How can I not? You're so cute, especially when you pouting."
"You know your like a little sister I never had." Demetri said with smile.
The words "like a sister" resounded in her ear.
Anna's cheerful expression faded slightly as the words "little sister" echoed in her mind. She felt a mix of confusion and a hint of disappointment that he just saw her as a little sister. It was as though a small flame of excitement had flickered deep within her, only to be gently snuffed out by the reality of their relationship.
"Is that how you see me? Little sister?" She asked, trying to hide the slightly disappointment in tone of voice.
"Yes. I always wanted a little sister but as a only child, I had no one to play with or tease." Demetri said as his smile slowly fade a bit.
Anna tried to hold the feeling inside her as if she would feel jealousy for him seeing her as a little sister. She sighed silently in her mind, hoping he saw her more than a little sister.
Demetri sensed a change in Anna's expression and looked at her while saying, "Are you okay? You look like something happened?"
Anna shook her head as she didn't answer the question and asked, "Can I ask you something?"
"Of course, what is it?" Demetri replied with a small smile. He knew something wasn't right with the way Anna asked him.
As Anna hesitated for a bit and gathered her thoughts, she asked with a hint of nervousness, "Demetri, what is your type of girl?"
Demetri, was a bit taken aback by the unexpected question and replied, "I can't say exactly but I do like smart girls who are pretty and have good heart. Why do you ask?" He wondered.

Anna blushed a little hearing his preferred type, it seems she meets his type to an extent as well, and she felt her heart skip a beat a little. Though, her mind said a different thing as she kept feeling jealous inside.
"No reason," Anna answered with a forced smile and tried to keep her jealousy in check while continuing to listen intently.
Some guy in a expensive tailor made suit comes up. Demetri recognised it was one of the friends of the main character of the novel. Jonathan Smith. As he comes and askes Anna to go out with him it was as the plot goes. Anna doesn't know who this guy is since it's only the first day. He thought Demetri was a girl and friends with Anna.
The guy named Jonathan Smith approached Anna, who seemed lost in thought and asked, "Hi, you're in my class right?" He said as he was standing pretty close to her.
Anna was somewhat surprised by his question and the sudden approach, she nodded.
He said looking at her up and down and continued, "I wanted to ask you something."
Anna felt a bit flustered by his directness and asked, "What is it?" As she wondered why this random guy is being so direct.
Demetri watched the interaction carefully and narrowed his eyes as he observed the guy named Jonathan closely.
Jonathan smirked and continued, "I was asking if you are free tonight?"
Anna was a little uncomfortable having a stranger ask for her company, she replied, "I am a little busy tonight sorry."
"I won't take much time, just an hour or so. Let's have dinner it's not late yet, and I am paying if that helps," he insisted.
"Well~ Anna aren't you quite popular even though it's our first day in University?" Demetri teased her.
