Andrew's POV
"What do you mean by 'that can't be'?" I asked my father rhetorically.
I was going to answer the question by myself so I didn't need him to reply and I didn't wait for him to.
"Because her mother is your girlfriend? Dad, have you forgotten what it means to be mates? We are bounded by the moon, we are paired together by the moon goddess. You don't expect me to leave my mate because of your girlfriend, do you?" I rushed out breathlessly, my wolf was moving around in my mind, feeling agitated.
"You know what rejection would do to me, don't you? Do you want me to lose my mind and be like a living corpse because you would rather stay with her mother and not let me be with my mate?" I added, annoyance growing in me rapidly.
All the while, my father was looking at me, blankly. His expression and gait gave nothing away. And I wondered what was going on in his mind.
