The dense forest was shrouded in mist. It was extremely hard to see the path forward. The proud moon who usually embraced the world with her glow was nowhere to be seen.

"Huh… phoo…" The girl hid behind a tree as she observed her surroundings.

She had just come to Zephyr, the land of gold and riches, a month ago to visit her ailing grandmother when she got in trouble.

"That damn wolf. How dare he take liberties with me?" Lottie Everhart cursed as she thought about the man who caused her to be in such a predicament.

Who would've known that she would've gotten tricked by a man the moment she decided to sight see around the place out of her boredom.

But no matter how bitter Lottie felt in her heart, she could not change the fact that she was now on the run.

With nowhere else to go, and her grandmother kidnapped, she had no other choice but to steel herself and continue running through the forest.

The grass blades and pebbles slashed her feet yet she did not care.

There was only one thing on her mind and that was to survive.

Just as she ran by a stream, she heard the voice that instilled fear into her very being.

"You have nowhere else to go, Lottie. Give up." Gio Wise caught up to her and yanked her wrist.

Her wrist was in so much pain that her eyes moistened and her vision blurred.

"No! Let me go! I won't let you have your way" Lottie shouted as she tried to pull her wrist out of his hand.

Gio Wise narrowed his eyes as he tightened his grip on Lottie.

"You're quite a stubborn one, aren't you?" Gio Wise stopped holding Lottie's wrist as he pulled her into his embrace. "But I quite like that."

"How dare you!" Lottie raised her hand and was about to slap Gio Wise when he caught her hand.

Gio Wise held Lottie's hand to his lips and smirked.

Lottie could not help but tremble under his smile. This man was so dangerous, so very dangerous. She did not dare let her guard down.

"Where is it?" Gio Wise suddenly asked as his smile faded.

"Where is what? I don't know what you're talking about at all"

"Don't pretend to be dumb Lottie. I know it's with you." Gio Wise took her bag and threw it behind him. A man in black appeared as he caught the bag. As the man was checking her bag, Gio Wise was watching her intently.

"General, it's not in the bag." After the man confirmed the thing was not in the bag, Gio Wise had a complicated look on his face.
