Chereads / The Kinetrix Runner / Chapter 15 - RUNNN!!!!!!

Chapter 15 - RUNNN!!!!!!

Exelirus slowly opened up his room's door, being careful not to make a sound that would alert Daniela before making his way to the living room. Once there, he made his way to the door and then tried to open it only to discover that it was locked. Exelirus, desperately wanting to leave the house, recalled a trick he during his time on Kinex when the Sabraxian invaded. Backed up against a wall of rubble with Sabraxian standing before without Sonikro there to save him, recalling the intense fear and dread he felt at the moment and how his body began to move on its own because of it. Exelirus then took a deep breath, recalling the immense feeling fear wash him back then when he was certain he was going to meet his end in hands of the Sabraxian. Then one of his hands began to vibrate, with spark of kinetrix energy flowing through it, moving just like his body did back then in Kinex. Exelirus then raised his vibrating hand, memories of that dreadful day flashing through his mind, recall every ounce of fear and pure and utter horror, racing through his body, with a his heart beating so fast that it became impossible for him to feel it beat within his cheat, and his body trembling and shaking, vibrating at such speeds that it became blurred and obscured with spark of Kinerix energy crackling and flowing throughout it. Exelirus, recalling and holding on to that feeling of fear and dread, drove his vibrating hand through the door's lock and it phased through it all the way to the other side. Then the kinetrix flowed through his vibrating hand and in to the door's lock, causing it to begin to spark before blowing up in a small explosion that completely destroyed.

Exelirus then began to pant excessively before looking at his vibrating hand, stopping it from vibrating and then seeing, much to his shock and horror, that it was completely covered with blood but it wasn't his. Exelirus was then taken back to the moment when he first learnt how to use that very trick. With his back against a corner, his trembling body, shaking and vibrating uncontrollably due the immense fear he felt racing through his body, and then, the beast attacked. Pouncing straight for him with claws ready to strike but the attack and agonizingly painful death the scared little blue haired boy was expecting never came, no, instead, he was greeted with the disturbing sight of seeing the red skin monstrous beast pass through him as though he was nothing but thin air before yelling out with a monstrous roar in agony and pain, and then before proceeded to explode upon fully passing through him.

Exelirus, remembered seeing the scattered remains of the beast littered all around where he stood, with the gruesome sight forcing him finally stop trembling and shaking, and caused him to fall on his knee with his hands over his head wondering if he had truly just taken a life.

Exelirus was brought out of that horrific memory and back in to reality upon hearing the sounds of the door creak open. Exelirus then looked his hand once more and saw that the blood was gone, causing him to sigh out of relief.

Exelirus then looked around; wanting to make sure he hadn't woken Daniela up and after seeing of her, stepped out of the door. It first thing that caught Exelirus's eyes once outside were the beautiful starry sky and the single lunar silver ball above the starry sky.

There was something about the night sky that Exelirus couldn't help admire in any world, whether it was Kinex were the stars seemed to shine bright at night and the sky was filled to the brim the beautiful colors of the cosmos and its three moon massive silver moon that lit up he twilight night skies, or made it was something innate in him, something primal from within, like the instincts of a beast heeding the call of a nature. Exelirus couldn't help smile while thinking back at the fond memories of the times he, his brother, and father spend underneath the Kinexian starry skies while being bathed by the lunar rays of Kinexian three moons, listening to stories of how the ancient Kinexian would ran around the forest in the den of night, dashing through the field and trees, not having any destination in mind and simply running little there heart's content until the sun rose. His father even told him and Sonikro a tale about a Kinexian enjoy running through the night that he chased the three moons of Kinex endless throughout his days, his father ended his tale by saying according to the legends he needed stopped running and would most likely continuing chasing after the moons until the very end.

Exelirus couldn't help but chuckle lightly as he thought about how back then he would actually believe those old wives tales that, before letting out a deep sigh and looking up to the starry sky once more, this time thinking how a part of him still believes in that tale, even though he knew it to nothing more than a myth as clinging that believe in that fable tale was helped him through the darkest of night during the final days of Kinex. The believe that he and his brother weren't alone while Kinex was slowly being torn apart before his eyes and that somewhere out there their was another Kinexian, racing through the baring waste lands of what was let of Kinex, through the forest of dead tree, past the fields, scorched and cover smoke and ash, and through the dried up lakes, a single lone Kinexian, despite the fact that their entire world was dying was still running as fast as his legs could carry him, chasing after three moons in race that could last for all of eternity. That story might have been a blatant lie fabricated from myth and age old legends passed down through out the ages by the Kinexian but it was a lie that gave a little blue hair Kinerixian the strength and courage to get through the bleakest of nights as if that Kinexian could still be running, chasing after the three moons of Kinex even when everything was seeming crumbling down, he could still continue to live and fight through the night to say another day dawn.

Exelirus then smiled at the night sky, allowing himself, even if it was only a split second to believe that somehow, someway, the story of Kinexian that chased the three moons was true and he survived just like him, and is currently somewhere out there, chasing after the moons of distant world, or maybe, just maybe, he might have made it to a certain blue world and contined his race, this time with a single silver moon. Exelirus couldn't help but let a chuckle before nodding his head, wondering how wild of an imagination he must have to be, even if it was just for a moment, that that moon chasing Kinexian was real and he also made safely made it out of Kinex just like him.

Exelirus then took a deep breath, recalling the nightmare had, with flashes of the dead ruins of his home world, the piles upon piles of dead buried underneath the rumble of the fallen cities and the monster responsible for wrecking all that carnage and destruction, transporting to that the fallen world for a brief second before returning back to reality.

Exelirus, panting profusely and feeling his heart pounding with a million beats within each passing second, looked out in to horizon, seeing the forest ahead of him before taking a deep breath and taking a step, and then another, and another, slowly making his way to the forest. Exelirus wondered the forest with his only source of light being the stars and moon above his head which illuminated the entire forest with a beautiful twilight glow. He wanted to get as far away as possible from people that includes Daniela, recalling the level carnage, panic and destruction he wrecked just by running in the city, and even though he was currently miles away from the main city, he didn't want to risk hurting anybody especially Daniela. Recalling everything she had done for him, from helping calm him down when his mind was in a panic and in distress upon waking up in H.O.P.E's headquarters, to bring him in to her home, providing a descent meal for him, even if it wasn't quite to his taste, and above all else, allowing him see a small glimpse of his mother again. Exelirus found it hard to express his gratitude to Daniela for everything she had done for him but that didn't mean he didn't appreciate it all, she might actually be the only thing on the face on the entirety of the foreign planet he was currently walking on that vaguely resembled Kinexian.

Exelirus walked through the forest, journeying deeper and deeper in to the green, ignoring all the strange sounds of nature echoing about through the forest and continuing his journey upon until he reached a point near large lake that sparked and shined underneath the silver hue of night sky. Once there Exelirus looked down at the lake, seeing his reflect on it, the reflection of the only thing left of Kinex, the survivor of a fallen world, the last Kinexian in the entire cosmos.

Exelirus upon seeing his reflect, closed his eyes, but still, despite the fact that his eye lids were closed shut, small drops of tears, still managed escape them. Flowing down through the sides of his cheeks before falling and making their way down to the lake before his tear could collide with the lake below, time began to slow down, almost coming to complete halt. Exelirus's body then began to crackles with sparks of kinetrix energy flowing throughout his entire body. He then let out a single breathe before opening his eyes that shone blue sparks of kinetrix energy flowing through them. Exelirus then took a single step before racing in an electrifying blue blur. He raced around the lake, moving at speeds that were impossible to comprehend with the naked eye. Moving faster and faster with each every step he made, refusing to slow down and just kept increasing and increasing his speed.

He continued running and running, moving with every ounce of strength he could muster, forward, moving faster than an a speed jet until he heard the sound of a loud boom.

Then, time itself froze for a minute and Exelirus witness his own eyes the world around him began to twist and shift, slowly the forest around him, the trees and field, and even the lake, began to vanish and in their place was a familiar dry desert waste land. Exelirus then looked around, spotting the ruins of his fallen world surround him. Then the whispers came, speaking softly in to his ears, only saying a single word repeatedly, "Run, run, run, run".

Exelirus then felt the ground underneath his feet begin to tremble and shake. He then turned around and saw, much to his dread and horror, an army of the savage Sabraxians charging on all fours straight for him.

"Run, Run, Run, Run", the whispers grew louder and louder, and as they did Exelirus's legs began to move on their, heeding the whispers words, and began to run.

"Run", Exelirus took a step.

"Run", Exelirus took another.

"RUNNN!!!!!!" the whispers yelled loudly in to Exelirus's ears and then Exelirus dashed away, moving at astronomical speeds, leaving a blue trail behind him.

"Run, Run, Run, Run", the whisper continued as he dashed through the wilderness of a desolated Kinex. He could hear the monstrous roars of the Sabraxians as they charged forward, chasing after him at full speed. Exelirus ran with everything he had but was entire sure why. As he took step and then another and another began question himself, asking why, why was he still running, what was he running away from when everything he knew, cherished and cared about were long gone. Looking at the remains of Kinex the surrounded the blue hair boy pondered to himself, what was the point of continuing to run alone in a pointless race, being constantly chased and tormented by the ghosts of the demons that took away from him, constantly running in this pointless race of life but never reaching the finish line, what was the point of it all if he was all alone.

A tear escaped from Exelirus's eyes as he felt his feet began to ache in pain, tired from constantly having to run as fast as they could, he was tired of the race and just wanted to stop and be still, no running and running, moving with a pound chest and aching feet, and just be perfectly still. But the voice in head, yelling and screaming for him to continued the race and run with everything he had wouldn't let him be along with the Sabraxians chasing from behind. He couldn't bring himself to stop even though all he wanted to do at the moment was to be still. He had to keep moving, running as fast as his aching legs would allow him, not slowing down not even for moment.

Then slowly, the darkness began creeping in, consuming everything around, soon the desolate wasteland that surrounded him disappeared along with the Sabraxians, vanishing without a trace, forever lost and consumed within the darkness, leaving Exelirus dashing through as void of darkness completely and utterly alone.

Exelirus then notice the dead silence that surrounded him and then realized that it was all gone both the barring and dead Kinex along with the monstrous Sabraxians, it was all gone and he was finally alone. Another tear flowed out of Exelirus eyes as he realized that he now truly alone with one, his mother, father, and brother alone with the entirety of Kinex were all gone. A painful and agonizing realization completely broke and shattered him from with him. He really had no one and was all alone.

Exelirus then looked around him, seeing nothing but the endless darkness that surrounded him as he continued to run before pondering and wondering to himself, why was he still running when there was not even a ground to walk on, from what was he running from when the Sabraxian were long gone, and what reason does he have left to continue moving that fast. Exelirus then began to wonder since there was nothing left, no Kinex, no brother, mother or father, and on Sabraxians, if could stop stumping his tired feet rapidly on nothing and simply stay perfectly still without moving an inch after all, there was no point of running in race alone.

Exelirus then took a deep breath before making his decision to put an end to the pointless race he was currently running in, choosing to end it all right there and then, and come to complete and full stop. But then, just as he was about to do so, a silver silhouette raced past him at blinding speeds, followed by a blue one, and then a red. Exelirus upon seeing the silhouette race past him couldn't help but form a smile on his face before taking a step forward at blinding speeds, chasing after them. Exelirus, even though he was tired and his feet were aching in pain, was determined to chase after and catch up to those silhouettes for they were his family and even though they were long gone a vast distance away from him, he run with everything he had. Feeling the static shock of kinetrix energy flowing through his entire body accelerating every cell in him and pushing him move faster and faster with each step he took, Exelirus dashed through the abyss, running with everything he had, chasing after speeding phantoms of his family determined to be with them no matter what.

Exelirus ran and ran with all his might and strength, pushing himself to move faster and faster, his eyes glowing fiercely with blue sparks of kinetrix energy. The young blue hair boy made his way through the abyss and to the silhouettes racing ahead of him. Moving closer to them inch by inch with each step he took until he was just a hand's grasp away from reaching them. Exelirus then stretched out his hand to grab hold of them but just as he was about to reach them he heard a familiar voice call out to him.

"Exelirus", Exelirus then turned to see where the voice was coming from only to see the red silhouette running by his side.

"Sonikro?" Exelirus called out to the red silhouette in shock.

The silhouette then turned him and uttered a single word "Live", before jetting off at impossible and unfathomable speeds with a hyper sonic boom then felt Exelirus hurdling and falling further back in to the abyss.

Exelirus then opened up his eyes and found himself lying down naked on the grassy fields of the forest next to the lake with scorch marks that looked like they were caused by a lightning storm littered in the surrounding forest. Exelirus then got up and faced the lake, seeing the reflection of the last and only Kinexian in the entire cosmos before tears began to flow out of his eyes.

"Exelirus", a familiar voice spoke from behind and upon Exelirus dashed straight to it source without a second thought and then embraced her. Daniela, although, not expecting such a tight embrace from the blue haired boy, could see he was in distress and really need someone to embrace and so she did not resist and hugged him back.
