Chapter 17 - Oh my little one

"I know you're scared,

Frightened by the dark,

And all the horrors that lay within,

But little one,

There's no need to cry,

For you are not alone,

I will stand by you,

Holding your hand,

Guiding you through the darkest of nights,

Oh little one,

You're not alone,

The night won't last,

The sun will rise,

And light will come to cast the darkness away,

And when it does,

You will see,

My little one,

You've never been alone,

Daniela sang the song that brought comfort and a sense of peace to her heart during a time when she felt lost, scared, and confused, that melodic tone was what gave Daniela the strength she needed to push and continue to face the world when all she wanted to back then was run away from it as fast and as far as her little legs could carry her. It gave her strength and hope when she needed it most, she could only hope that it did the same to the little blue haired boy on arms.

Daniela, once her tune was done, looked down at little blue haired boy, with a warm smile forming on her face as she did so as she was greet the peaceful slumbering face of Exelirus. Daniela knew had been through a lot, with all the trauma, pain, and loss forever etched in to his heart. His fate was truly a terrifying thing, to be the last of kind in quite possibly the entire cosmos that was far too cruel of a fate for anyone, much less a child, to face, but yet, here he was one her arms, still breathing and sleeping peacefully like the child he was.

A small tear drop escaped Daniela's eye as she looked down at the blue haired boy on her arms, knowing that the kid on her arms was strong and was sure that he would be able to push past his pain and trauma, and find place for himself there on the massive blue ball that stood on, just like she did, and she would there for him every step of the way to make sure of it.

Daniela then flashed a warm smile at the little boy on her arms a finally time before racing away; moving away at supersonic speeds with the blue haired boy on her arms, taking him back home to his room then placed him gentle on the bed before him up with blanket so he wouldn't get cold. She then glanced at the blue haired boy sleeping peacefully on the bed before placing a small kiss on his forehead and whispering softly to him, "Sweet dreams".

Daniela then left the room and once she had shut the door behind her, she let out a deep sigh as she thought about everything that had happened that night from being worried sick about the blue hair boy once she found out that he had left the house to heading out in to the forest to find him, and almost being sucked in to a massive vortex. It had really been a long night and to say that that kid was a handful was the greatest understatement of the century but, remembering the peaceful look on his face as fell asleep in her arms, Daniela couldn't help but smile and nod her head before heading to her room.

Once there, seat on her bed, and grabbed a small picture frame by the side of her bed, looking at before saying, "Hey Nick, looks like history is repeating itself. I've got my very own little troublemaker to take care of and with any luck he won't be as much as a handful as I was".

A small tear then escaped her eyes and fell on to the frame.

"Thank you for saving me back then Nick, if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be who I am today. Hopeful I can do the same for the little blue hair rascal I'm now stuck with", said Daniela before placing the frame back by the corn of the bed.

She then lied on her bed, positioning her body to face the picture frame, and then, with a smile on her face and a small tear droplet leaving her eyes, she said, "goodnight Nick".

Daniela closed her eyes and slowly drifted way to sleep with the last thing she saw that night being the picture of middle aged man with grey streaks of hair by sides of his head with signs of baldness at the top, standing a bright smile on his face next to a young teenage Daniela who wore an annoyed look on her face.
