"First time here?" I heard a voice say. "Who said that?" I asked. I looked around the cell and I didn't see anyone besides me in it. "Over here idiot!" I looked at the cell across from me and I saw him. This person was wearing a dark blue beanie, had a black glove on his right hand, a gray sweatshirt, black shorts, washed-out shoes, and had a backpack with him, though I didn't get a good look at his face. "You must be new to the loser dungeon." The person said to me. "Uh…Yeah...I'm Austin" I responded, not knowing what to say in that moment. "What did he throw you in here for, Austin?" The person asked. "Me and my friends defeated him in another world." I responded. "You took down one of his posters you mean?" The person corrected me. "No…me and my friends kicked his butt in another world. One that he didn't rule." I said. "We are the only two people here, you can tell me the real story." The person said. "That's what happened." I said, still trying to convince him that I was telling the truth. The person then reached into his backpack and pulled out what seemed to be some sort of riffle. "Wait…What are you doing?" I asked in a panicked voice, fearing for my life. "Oh relax Newbie, I wouldn't waste a bullet on you even if this thing used to fire bullets." The person said as he checked the rifle out. "So what is this thing?" I asked with some panic left on my face. "It's a lie, metal, and energy detector all in one. That's what I call a marketable product." The person said. "So you're going to see if I'm lying?" I asked. "Yeah, mostly because I never get a chance to test it out here." The person said as he pointed the detector at me as he looked at the results. His face seemed to be calm until I heard loud beeps and buzzes from the detector and along with it, his face turned from calm to surprised with a little pride there as well. I'm guessing he was just happy that this gizmo of his worked. "Oh…OH….You….were not lying." The person said as he turned to me with a surprised look on his face. "What was I trying to tell you nameless?" I said as I didn't get the person's name or his entire face. "Oh, that's right." The person said as he turned towards the light…and I had yet another revelation. "Cole?" I asked. "That's my lame birth name. You can call me Ren," Ren said. "I…I don't believe it…." I said, struggling to find the right words to describe how I was feeling at this moment. "If what you're saying is true, I'm guessing you knew another version of me?" Ren asked in a calm voice. "Well…I knew another you." I said, struggling to look anywhere but the dark and cold floor. "You…knew another me?" Ren asked with confusion on his face. "I'll spare you the details but you were killed in a fight with a bad guy named Krane." I explained to Ren, who had a pretty shocked expression on his face. I guess I can't blame him though, it's not every day you find out that another you was killed. "I don't know what to say…" Ren said just when footsteps could be heard. "I would like to chat some more but we can't stay here if you know who can overhear us." Ren said with a nervous sweat on my face. "Uh…I think that's a little too late…" I said. "Adam used his truth helmet, didn't he?" Ren guessed without me needing to explain as I nodded. "Figures. Well, I think I have a way to bust us out of here." Ren said as he reached into his backpack and pulled out what seemed to be a mini bomb. "What is that?" I asked. "Simple. It's an explosive I was testing before I got captured. Details to follow. I knew that if it got into the wrong hands, it could be used for bad purposes, I made it so that it needs two fingerprints to activate!" Ren explained. "So you need my fingerprints to bust us out of here?" I asked. "Precisely." Ren said as he pressed his index finger on the bomb and then tossed it through the bars to my cell." Let's get the heck out of here!" I said as I pressed my index finger on the bomb and it began to turn red. "It's lighting! Quick, throw it between our cells!" Ren exclaimed as I wasted no time. I rolled it very quietly between our cells and within a few moments, the bomb exploded, busting us out of our cells where we had our chance to escape...well, I wasn't able to move due to my legs. "Great work Austin!" Ren said in a happy voice. "Yeah…but…what are we going to do now? I can't even move my legs." I asked. "I have an idea but we need to get out of here first." Ren said as he pulled out a little box. "What is that?" I asked. "Portable crunches. They can get you around at a normal rate while your legs heal." Ren said as I put them on. "I could get used to this. I said. "Good but we need to move. I need to give you a little upgrade as well." Ren said. "What are you talking about?" I asked right when two guards turned the corner and spotted us out of our cells. "Prisoner's on the run!" One of them said as they began to run towards us. "Don't worry." Ren said, noticing the worried expression I had on my face. Ren then pulled out what looked like an old-fashioned pistol you would see in a Western movie and fired it at the guards. "Come on! They won't be knocked out forever!" Ren said as he rushed out of the hallway as fast as we could. We made our way down the very long hallways while avoiding the guards and being quick as well. It seemed like Adam had guards everywhere you looked. I didn't see any cameras around but I would think Adam had them around somewhere. Then again, I missed out on a lot so I have no idea anymore. After some time, me and Ren found our way into a pretty big storage closet, with some old parts and an old desk. "It's perfect!" Ren said as he made his way toward the desk and took the old parts and began to make something."What are you making?" I asked. "Have you looked down at your t-shirt?" Ren asked out of the blue. "No, I've been busy avoiding robots since I got here." I said as I looked down at my shirt. I was wearing a simple black and white shirt the last time I looked at it a while ago. When I looked at it again, it was almost all blue with energy. "I don't know how it happened but it seemed like when you got here, a lot of energy was sent into you. I recorded it with my detector and I found out you needed a way to regulate it before you became a walking sign for Adam so I'm working on a regulator." Ren said as he continued to work. "Cool." I said. After a few seconds of silence, Ren asked me: "So…what was this…other me like?" "Well for starters, you were a werewolf." I said. "I used to be one before Adam found a way to remove that part of me and all other magical beasts…" Ren said. "Oh…I'm so sorry." I said. "It's fine." Ren said. "Speaking of…could you tell me what happened here? I thought me and my friends defeated Adam." I asked. Ren sighed a very heavy sigh. It was a sign that someone would make when they were angry or they had very bad news to tell you. He took a deep breath as he began to talk. What I found out…wasn't pretty. It was very…very bad.
