Chapter 2 - The Crushed Capital

As for what happened next…I'm not sure if it was real or not. Sometimes when I was younger, before I knew about magic and all of my best friends, I used to imagine things and think that they were real like imaginary friends, places, etc. I grew out of that phase really quickly and I never did it again, until…I think I did. I saw all of my friends as these weird shadow things as they kept saying these lines over and over again. I forget what they exactly were or what they meant but I remember what Cyrus said exactly. "Move forward. Move onward." I had no idea what the heck it could mean but I knew it had to mean something right? No one can just envision this. Maybe I was hallucinating, even though I probably was at this point. The rest was a blur for me but I could feel my body falling. After some time, I was able to open my eyes and I began to fall. "WEEEELLLL THHHIIISSS IIIISSSS NNNNEEEWWWW!" I screamed as loud as I could. I was falling at an extremely fast rate above what appeared to be a city. I was too distracted by the…you know…falling to my death to notice anything important. I closed my eyes, thinking it was all over for me when I hit something. I opened my eyes and I was riding on top of what appeared to be a flying car. "What the hell is going on?" I said out loud, still trying to process everything. "Midget, get yourself off my car!" The person in the car said as he stopped his car and I was sent flying yet again. "AHHHHHH!" I screamed again as I landed on my legs and hit the ground. "OW. OW. OW." was all I could think of. I tried to get up but my legs didn't like that idea as every time I tried to stand, my legs gave out as they were extremely hurt. "I couldn't have broken my legs from that fall? Right?" I said to myself. After some time, I was able to stand up on my left leg but my right leg was still in a lot of pain. I'm no doctor nor do I ever want to be but I think my right leg was broken during my fall. "Wait, I have an idea!" I said to myself as I pulled out my wand. "Fix, fix, fixer-upper!" I said as I tried to cast a fixing spell. All that happened was that a few sparks came out of my wand and I noticed a huge crack in it. "That destroy spell must have done a number to it." I said as I put my want back into my back pocket. "Now, where the heck am I?" I said as I got up on my one usable leg and I got used to hopping on my left leg and I began to look around. From the looks of it, I was in some dark corner next to two very tall buildings. It looked like no one was here for a very long time as I could see some spider webs hanging above me. I knew I couldn't stay here and figure this out so I hopped out of this corner and saw utter terror. So by now, you should know that a while ago, me and my friends fought and defeated this robot named Adam, right? Well, wherever I was, that never happened. When I looked around, I saw his face everywhere. Whether it was posters, signs, or even in the sky, his face was everywhere. "Wait…Adam…won?" I asked myself how that was even possible when I also noticed something odd. There were these moving sidewalks everywhere around this place, and people stood on them as they moved around this area. It was then I looked up and saw that there were buildings everywhere. These buildings were as tall as the Empire State Building at least. Also, it was hard to see the sky since there were cars in the sky, and it looked like they patrolled the streets, checking people to make sure they were staying put. "What? How…How is that possible?" I asked myself. Adam was defeated, I saw it with my own eyes. Sophia handled him with an arrow to his robot skull. Unless he was reprogrammed somehow, there was no way he could ever return, right? "I need to figure this out and quickly!" I said to myself as I hopped away from that corner and into these odd-looking streets. Just like with the rest of this city, Adam's face was all over the streets. The arrows had his face on them, the crosswalks had his face on them, you get the picture. As I hopped along the streets, I was hoping I could see a familiar face around. I had no such luck in the process though as everyone looked so different. I saw a lot of different-looking outfits with gray shirts, and shorts with you guessed it, Adam's face on them. I needed to find a way that I could put all of this together and so far, these streets were not cutting it. I couldn't see anything I recognized here. As I looked around, I saw what I was looking for, a construction lift. I'm guessing that this building I was looking at was under construction and they invented moving lifts to work on the building. I didn't understand the rules yet so give me a break. I hopped on the lift and it took me to the top of the building. I saw a huge city with tons of tall buildings for miles and miles in every single direction. I saw the moving cars in the sky which I'm guessing were called hover cars now. The sky was pitch black with nothing but darkness...and Adam's face in the sky somehow. I have no idea how they managed to do it but they did it…and it looked terrifying as heck. "So this must be what Adam would have done if he won…" I said to myself with a very sad voice. Wait…that mech…could that be…?" I began to remember back to that day with the mech. It felt so long ago yet it felt like it just happened at the same time. I didn't get a very good look at it but it looked nothing like Adam. It might have been something completely different and unrelated but I couldn't help but draw some comparisons. Then I thought back to the prism. Touching it causes things to disappear…But I didn't touch it, I destroyed it. Cyrus said that they needed a way to destroy it so I did the job for them. Was it supposed to be destroyed another way? "Ugh! If only Cyrus or Eight was here to decode this puzzle!" I said to myself as I noticed something that I did recognize…but not what I expected. "Wait a sec…that's...Stellarlune." I said to myself as I noticed a building nearby that looked identical to Stellarlune, only though it was old and most likely abandoned. "And all that smoke!" I said as I noticed some mountains in the very far distance. These mountains were covered in smoke as shadows could be seen flying far away in the distance. "The dragon lands?" I asked as a horrid thought crossed my mind. I…never left home…" I said to myself right then and there, something I feared would happen, happened. A light flashed into my eyes as a spotlight around me appeared out of nowhere. "Unidentified-human-you-are-not-in-our-database! Identify-yourself-right-this-instant!" A hover car said in a robotic voice. "Oh great! First I was the comic relief and now I'm unidentified! I can't catch a break!" I said as I had no idea what the heck I was supposed to do. It felt like time was frozen, waiting for someone…to break the ice.
