Chapter 3 - Unexpected "Talent" 1/2

"So apparently you have "trash" talent in everything except for this never-heard-before element named trash," G sighed while Trash just stared at the shattered ball.

"Well, who cares? God's talent should be good enough for me to make you better than my master. Come on, it's time to train," she said.

But Trash was still kind of bewilderedly looking at the shattered ball. "Why did the thing break?" he asked.

"God's talent always breaks these things; the same thing happened at my evaluation. I think the one who created these balls just wanted to add some dramatic effects so everyone knows they are special. What a waste of time," G explained. "Now go on, it's time to see how good your affinity for magic really is. Your talent test was weird, but at least you have godtier talent. I need to test it out."

"Test it? How that?" Trash asked.

Iris just smiled and took a suit out of seemingly nowhere. "First wash yourself, then wear this. After you are done, I will tell you what your first test is."

She threw the suit towards Trash and pointed to the bathroom. "Gogo, why are you still standing? I don't want to smell you all the time."

Trash didn't really know what G talked about but still went to the bathroom. The only problem was he still couldn't really walk, so he had to crawl there. Then, as he got in, he didn't really know what to do.

"How do I do the washing thing?" He asked.

"What a pain! I forgot that you are useless, Trash. Well, I'm certainly not going to wash you, so wait, I will call someone to do it. Afterwards, I will get you a wheelchair for now, but learn how to walk soon."

G went and called for male hotel staff and let him take care of trash. Since she booked the ultra VIP++ extra sweet, the poor guy had to go along and take Trash to the shower.

While the hotel staff was in misery, G quickly bought a wheelchair and got it ready for trash.

A while later, Trash came out of the bathroom dressed in a fancy suit. He was clean and would even look somewhat handsome with his long hair, if his face wouldn't look like someone trampled all over it for a few years. Well better than expected, G thought.

While the hotel staff left the room, now ready to terminate his job and start working a new field, G turned to Trash, who was sitting in the wheelchair. "Now that you are ready, we can go ahead. Your first test will be sensing magic in objects, and the perfect place to do that is an auction for magic treasure. Most of the things sold there are without any use and don't even contain magic within them, but there are a few gems in between. That's why even some real magicians go to these auctions. Your job will be to sense magic from these objects and determine whether one should buy set treasure. Understand?" G asked

"No. Too much text. What is an auction?" Trash had no idea. This human thing was speaking too fast.

Hearing Trash's reply, G just facepalmed. "Whatever, just come with me for now." She didn't wait for Trash's answer and just took him and his wheelchair to fly and land right before the auctionhouse.

There she brought them right up to the VIP entrance. "Tickets, please," a burly man asked, and G instead of taking out a ticket just isolated the area and then summoned a fireball. "Is that enough?" she asked.

The man was shocked beyond belief. "Wait, I will call my boss."

While all of these things were happening, trash just took in the atmosphere. It was weird feeling clean, but he didn't hate it. It was odd seeing so many living flesh pieces, but after looking in the mirror, he knew he was one of those too. Noisy streets, talking, having this nice vehicle. It all felt different and somewhat freeing. He thought back on how he got here and felt like he had to be grateful to G. She made him live in a much bigger world. From now on, I will try my best to meet her expectations, starting with this test. I will impress her.

After some waiting, G and Trash entered one of the VIP rooms. The VIP room was previously reserved for someone else, but due to G's magic prowess, the owner of the auction decided to give it to her.

"Now, Trash, there will be items displayed in the front. You have to tell me if it is something that is valuable or not. Find magic traces on it, and the more you feel, the more value it has. Ok?" Iris asked.

"Still not." Trash asnwered.

"Ok. They put things there." G pointed to the auction platform. "You tell if magic. Understand." G tried once again.

"Yes. Like that fire thing, right?" Trash finally understood.

"Yes, like fire. More is better." G kept talking in a way Trash would understand.

"Good. I will tell you."

Just as Trash finally learned what to do, the auction began and the first item was presented.

It was an ancient vase apparently infused with magic that was supposed to sooth the environment and ease strain on the brain.

Oh, an actual magic item on the first item? What a surprise. Let's see if he gets it, G thought.

"Bad," Trash said.

"Bad? You don't feel anything?"

"I feel like this item is not good." Trash responded

Why did I even get my hopes up? This guy is trash. "Alright, continue," G said while a lot of Magicians bet on the first item.

A lot of people tried to get the hands on the magic vase, but one magician was still discussing things with the security. "How could you give my VIP room away? I am a decorated magician who just graduated from Simsalabimisung Academy. Let me know who has a higher standing than me. Call them out right now!"
