Chereads / In My Book, I Become A Villian / Chapter 4 - chapter:4 the dome

Chapter 4 - chapter:4 the dome

Chapter 4

.

.

.

It all took about half an hour in total before I realized that my house was actually close to the Dome.

"I would have made it even if I walked."

Then I went to the security guard at the entrance of the Dome and asked for my class.

The other character in the novel had no problem finding his class, but I was almost lost in this big space.

The security guards looked at me like I was an idiot, but I didn't really care. Our phones had already been sent a code and we knew where we were, but the technology at the time of the book was far beyond my rudimentary android knowledge. Maybe in a month or two I would have figured it out.

After passing through security, I looked up at the half-ball-shaped building, almost 500 meters high, resembling a pyramid from the future. Hexagonal panes of glass, interlocked like the faces of a soccer ball, stretched to the top of the Dome.

The Dome was the world's largest educational institution, boasting cutting-edge magic, science and engineering, and the Dome contained instructors, cafeteria ladies, shop assistants, cleaners, recruiters, government officials, engineers, security, doctors, and researchers, all of whom took care of the students.

It was almost a modern minimal city.

This was of course not limited to the Dome. There were many wizarding schools like the Dome, but none as popular as the Dome.

A wizard who graduated from the Dome was never unemployed.

After finding out my class from the security guard, I ran towards the classroom at full speed. After catching my breath, I slowly opened the door and entered the classroom. When I looked at the classroom, I couldn't help but notice how spotless it was because it looked almost sparkling.

Why wasn't my house so clean?

The classroom was divided into two descending rows and each row had a retractable seat where someone could sit. With five seats next to each other, it gave the air of an amphitheater.

"Where should I sit?"

I whispered to myself.

I was now looking around the classroom for a place to sit.

Even though the whole class was not here, a few people were waiting in the classroom, of course, when they saw me, all of their eyes were suddenly on me.

Every student here was a threat to them.

After looking around for a few seconds, I decided to sit in the second row from the left.

The back is the best seat.

I stared straight ahead like a complete extra, a screen projecting holograms instead of a blackboard. I couldn't help sighing as I looked at it.

It was the first time I had sat on the bench since my high school graduation.

It was 8:40 and class would start soon.

To be honest, I was exhausted.

I don't even know if I would be able to keep my eyes open during class.

Luckily today was orientation day.

so they don't talk much.

It felt so good to know that.

I was just putting my head down on the desk

"ATTENTION!"

I was about to fall asleep soundly at the table when a loud voice echoing in the classroom woke me up.

When I opened my eyes, a woman was standing behind the lectern looking at the class.

"Today is your first day, freshmen, so you won't have any special plans, but I hope you haven't slacked off in the short time you've been accepted here. To graduate from here, you don't just need talent, you need diligence!"

.*Bam!

He slammed his hand on the table, sending a small shockwave through the class.

The heads of everyone in the class were pushed back except for a few students, including me.

"In the Dome, whether you like it or not, everything is objective. The only indicator of success will be your grade. It will be the only thing the guilds look at, so we will grade you accurately and strictly. Underperform and you will be left behind. Statistically, less than half of dome students graduate without repeating a semester. Even then, you can only be held back for up to 2 years. Any more than that and you'll be expelled. If you can't be a mage, you can be a spy or a mercenary, but I understand that's not what you want."

- Damn it!

I cursed hoarsely inside, I knew this woman very well.

"There will be no laziness in my class!"

As she scanned the entire class, her eyes fell on the few others who had managed to withstand her shockwave. Up close, you could see the traces of satisfaction on her face as she looked at them.

Still in the same mood

I said to myself.

The woman put both hands on the lectern and looked at the class.

"Now let's start introducing myself. I am Madame Ester, I will be your personal trainer this year and probably for years to come."

That name, I knew it.

Of course...I knew it was one of the most important characters I had ever written.

The most striking thing about this woman, with some white in her black hair, was not her figure, but her beautiful violet eyes, which, when looked at for too long, made one lose oneself.

Madame Ester Aspera

AKA the witch of the mist...

That's what she was called on the battlefield. It was a nickname given to her by her enemies.

She particularly hated it herself, but paid no attention to those who spoke it.

What made her particularly frightening was that she could completely change the scale of a battlefield, pitting allies against each other. The mist he emitted and the mana-based eyes he used would attack the enemy's nervous system.

I knew exactly what he was capable of, as I had set his abilities myself.

Even though he was in his 40s now, he never looked it, maybe 23-24.

He was quite young, considering that people live to be 200 years old on the current Earth.

He had graduated from the Dome, just like the main characters, but after a few years as a professional hero, he had returned to the Dome as a teacher.

He was one of the people I generally didn't want to mess with.

"I'm sure I don't need to say much more than most of you may already know about me"

Ms. Ester spoke calmly as she surveyed the class.

She pretended to ignore their blushing faces, but seemed to have gotten used to the reactions of the majority.

"Since it's your first day, I won't take too much of your time. I can already see some people in the class looking tired. Maybe they didn't get enough sleep because they were too excited or because they worked all night, so I'll keep this first session short."

As my bad memories of Mrs. Esther suddenly faded, all I could think of was that she was an angel sent from heaven. I had sinned. How could I have such insidious thoughts about such an angel?

He could even tell how tired I was and that he was trying to be considerate of me and others.

"All right, first of all, let's take roll call."

"Rank 803, Vayne Salas"

When I heard my name, I raised my hand excitedly

I said, "Available!"

He nodded and continued

"Rank 705, Julius Halfwing"

"Present!"

"..."

"..."

As I read the names on the list, I couldn't help but notice that each time a new name was called, the list got smaller.

I was the first person he called, claiming I was the weakest in the class.

I should have realized it sooner. Sighing, I slumped down on the table and waited silently for him to finish reading the names.

"This body is really weak, Vayne"

I said to myself.

But in a way it was a very good thing. The less I stood out, the better my chances of survival. Standing out here meant a one-way ticket to hell.

"Tier 12, Eleine Sunders"

"Available"

"7th place Sofia Lyons"

Available"

"3rd place Seth Turner

"Available"

"2nd place Estelle Escard

"Available"

"1st Degree Arthur White

"Present."

I was in the class with all the main characters in the story.

Some had parents who worked for the council, others had their own private guilds.

But most of the people in the class came from a higher lineage.

The guy in row 1 is Arthur White. Except him.

I said to myself...

After roll call

"Prepare yourselves. Our program today will not last long. Your first task is to choose your main weapon."

Coming to the front of a large room, Madame Esther stood in front of everyone and turned on the lights.

"There is a wide range of weapons here, so feel free to choose the one you think best suits you."

he said.

A big room appeared. It was almost 60-70 meters longitudinally.
