Dear lord, why didn't Jessica tell her she was being set up with a hunk!?
Wait. If this guy was this hot then why didn't Jessica keep him to herself? Or was there something wrong with him? Ariel thought inwardly as she eyed Daniel trying to spot something wrong. Maybe like in one of those novels she had read, he had mental problem secretly and was looking for a girl he could catch in his grasp to give him an offspring.
It wasn't like Jessica was a bad person, she wasn't but when it came to guys Jessica loved nothing but the best. She wanted her man as perfect as he could be.
With that in mind, Ariel knew Jessica wouldn't hand over a guy who was both good looking and wealthy, unless...
"Ariel." she heard a sweet male voice ring in her ears. Oh shit! she had been staring! keep your cool Ariel, your imaginary boyfriend is definitely hotter than him.
After moments of picking up her self she smiled sweetly at him
"Daniel, or should I say danny?"
"Anyone will do, princess Ariel." He replied teasingly with a smile.
Ariel breath! She scolded herself, she could feel her heart running a marathon.
What the hell happened to her strong resolution of not having anything to do with guys now? Maybe she had been lonely for too long, she definitely wouldn't fall for this hot guy in front of her! She decided to ignore what he had just said.
"I see you booked us a private table." Ariel said meaningfully with a smile on her face.
"I told you someone owed me a favour right? What I didn't mention is that the one who owed me the favour is the son of the restaurant owner." Daniel lied without batting an eyelid. He wouldn't exactly say it was a lie would he?
There was a saying which says; you're your only best friend. Right? And since he was a friend to himself, it wasn't a lie to say his friend father owns the restaurant right?
And he of course owed himself a favour for taking so much Care of himself so it wasn't really a lie.
If it was a lie, then it would be a white lie.
Initially, he hasn't thought much of the date, but after meeting Ariel, he was thinking about reconsidering; she was more attractive than the picture he had seen of her.
"Woah, your friend's father owns this restaurant? That's cool." Ariel said trying her best to keep the excitement out of her voice and trying not to be nosy. And His story was quite believable so she didn't push it.
"Yeah, cool right?"
"It is, you don't have to wait for so long to get a table depending on your relationship with him."
"We share a special bond, we're like best friends." Daniel said grinning broadly like he heard a private joke. Ariel looked at Daniel's smile and she had to admit, that was the cutest smile she had seen. He had a one sided dimple, not to deep like Jessica's but it was perfect.
"I see why getting a table wasn't hard. I'd as well take advantage of this opportunity."
Ariel was already seated opposite him. She spotted the menu and selected few dishes, she wasn't going to let this opportunity slide by because she was mesmerised by the young man seated opposite her. Daniel watched her with a smile, he couldn't believe how she had left her nervousness to pick out dishes. He had notice she had been stunned by his looks, he wouldn't blame her because he also was sometimes amazed by how he looked. He could guess she was shocked because Jessica must have told her he wasn't quite handsome.
"Here, this are all I want." she smiled sweetly as she handed the menu to him. He had expected to see her select just veggies and healthy dishes but it seemed he was in for surprises today. There was nothing healthy about all the dishes she had selected! He was taken off guard a little because all the girls he had taken out before always eat little and order veggies, claiming they were watching their weight or shits like that.
"You don't eat healthy?" Daniel asked with amazement lazed in his voice.
"Why would I? Not like I'd get fat even if I consume a whole lot of calories."
"What if you gain weight?" He asked amused.
"Who cares? Am a lover of vanity, there are too many sweet desserts and food in this world to punish my self all in the name of not wanting to gain weight and being on diet. I rather gain the weight than eat only veggies." Ariel explained as she twisted her face when she talked about eating only veggies.
"That's a first, even Jessica isn't this careless." Daniel commented not being able to keep in his amazement. He was surprise there was someone like Ariel who openly admit they loved food on a first date.
"Jessica cares about all this things but I don't." Ariel smiled proudly
"Why is that? Could it be because your boyfriend is fictional and can't complain?" Daniel grin as if he had found out a secret.
"What the fuck is wrong with Jessica's mouth!?" Ariel face palmed her self as she felt like crying. How could her best friend sell her off this much?
"Are you ashamed of him?" He tease further clearly enjoying her reaction.
"Why would I be? At least his hotter than you." she scoffed
"So you agree am hot didn't you?"
"Just kill me Daniel." she covered her face embarrassed.
"I don't want you dead, at at least not yet." He was loving every moment if this.
